GOD'S RESPONSE TO THE INVENTIONS OF SIN (DAY 151 OF 365)

GOD'S RESPONSE TO THE INVENTIONS OF SIN
(Nuggets from Psalm 106:29)

INVENTIONS in this context are NEW WAYS OF COMMITTING SIN.
The children of Israel disobeyed God countless times and one of such was the occasion where they committed whoredom with the daughters of Moab in Shittim.

God commanded Moses to take all the heads of the people of Israel and execute them so that the fierce anger of God may be turned from Israel. Moses told the judges to slay all those who joined in the worship of Baal which was in the form of sexual immortality through which the people of Israel were seduced.
This was the moment Phinehas the son of Eleazar thrusted Zimri the Israelite, and Cozbi the midianite woman, just to make sure that the plague God had intended to release upon the children of Israel wouldn't be extreme, but even at that, this stubborness caused the death of 24,000 Israelites, the plague was a serious one.

The sad truth is that the women of Midian were employed by their rulers on the advice of Balaam in a deliberate plot to entangle the Israelites in heathen sins which would alienate them from the favour of God. While the Lord greatly punished Israel for their sins, He also took vengeance on those who enticed them into the evil inventions (Balaam precisely), and he, Balaam was also killed by the children of Israel (Joshua 13:22), due to his rebellion against God; his love for money led him to a disastrous end.

Trafficking with evil spirits through idolatrous practices, mingling with immoral people from other nations and worshiping their gods was such a disdainful act and showed how obstinate the nation Israel was, forgetting that GOD IS JEALOUS and wouldn't want such.

Today, there are various ways through which so-called Christians mingle with strange gods and idols: their addictions, habits, diverse lusts, immoral acts, all showing that they do not regard God.

Advancement in Technology has also led to inventions in sin. Things that were not possible centuries or decades ago are now possible through the aid of technology, and even believers are caught in the web, involving themselves in things that God hates and not seeing anything wrong in them.

As God responded to the stubbornness of the children of Israel with Plagues, He will not spare anyone who indulges in sinful Inventions in this dispensation.

God wants all those who call upon His name to DEPART FROM INIQUITY, and those who are still living in sin to REPENT and come to the knowledge of the truth, not just because you want to avoid plagues, but because you honor God and fear Him.

DIVIDENDS OF THE CROSS (DAY 150 OF 365)

DIVIDENDS OF THE CROSS
(Nuggets from John 12:32)

Our Lord Jesus Christ in today's scripture was referring to His death on the cross at Calvary. He was LIFTED UP on the cross, and this was the origin of SALVATION for all of mankind.

It was an assurance He gave, that if He eventually gets CRUCIFIED on the cross, SALVATION would become inevitable because He would draw all men to Himself.

In the words of Jesus Christ, we can see clearly that the ATTRACTION of men which was made possible by the cross is the mightiest and most sovereign motive ever brought to bear on the human will, and because this reality is wielded by the Holy Spirit as a revelation of the matchless Love of God, it has ended up as the most sweeping judicial sentence that has ever and will ever be pronounced join the prince of this world - Lucifer.

He thought he would truncate God's plan by using Judas to betray our Lord Jesus which would lead to his eventual crucifixion, but he never knew that was his greatest undoing.

Today, this offer of SALVATION is still available to all men. Souls are being saved across the globe, and God is still very much interested in depopulating the kingdom of satan and populating Heaven instead.

You and I are the vessels He wants to use to harvest these souls, hence the need for EVANGELISM. God expects us to go out there into the FIELD OF SOULS with our sickle for this imminent great harvest of souls, because truly speaking, THE HARVEST IS PLENTEOUS, BUT THE LABORERS ARE FEW.

ARE YOU AMONG THE FEW LABORERS GOD IS COUNTING ON?

WOULD YOU NOT LET GOD USE YOU TO POINT THESE DYING SOULS TO THE CROSS OF CALVARY AND DRAW THEM TO JESUS?

THEY WHO KNOW THE LORD CANNOT BE ASHAMED (DAY 149 OF 365)

THEY WHO KNOW THE LORD CANNOT BE ASHAMED
(Nuggets from Romans 10:11)

SALVATION is REACHABLE and OPEN TO ALL. Every human being on earth has equal opportunities for salvation. God is not selective with the offer of salvation; He made it readily accessible to all and by all, and that is the reason behind John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him would not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE.

This shows you the GOD KIND OF LOVE, immeasurable and matchless, it doesn't matter how your dirty past has been or how offensive your sins have been to God, all He's saying is BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST and you will not just live but will also never be put to shame.

So many Christians are considering throwing in the towel because they feel they have nothing to gain by following Christ and that they are losing a lot by following Christ, unfortunately, they do not know that the reverse is the case.

Your relationship with Christ is GAIN for you, and your disconnection from Christ is a FATAL LOSS. You have a lot to gain by following Jesus and you have nothing to lose by being a child of God.

Our society has brazenly resisted pledging allegiance to Jesus Christ and refused to follow His ways, but you must beg to differ. The more our culture turns its back on Jesus, the more important it is for us to take a clear, uncompromising, and determined stand that we are His followers and that we proudly bear His name.

Our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 10:32-33:
"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."

Many Christians are denying Christ by their actions, inactions, compromise and indulgence in this world, but God's desire is that his children should be true ambassadors of the kingdom in this world.

All those who are proud of Jesus and identify with him here on earth will be recognized and celebrated by Him in the presence of God the Father at the end of time.

BE A TRUE SOLDIER OF JESUS, STAND UP FOR THE CROSS.

THE BRAZEN SERPENT AND THE CROSS (DAY 148 OF 365)

THE BRAZEN SERPENT AND THE CROSS
(Nuggets from John 3:14)

God instructed Moses in Numbers 21:5-9 to make a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole, but what is the significance of the serpent?
The serpent is the same old Lucifer who tricked Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

The BRAZEN SERPENT in our context represents SIN and SATAN, which was the primary reason for the CROSS, and the pole was a type of the CROSS. God was trying to show Moses what would happen to mankind centuries ahead, how that Jesus Christ His only begotten son would come into this world to undo what the serpent had done to humanity.

As God instructed Moses to make the serpent with brass and set it upon a pole, any of the Israelites (who were bitten by the fiery serpents that God sent to bite them) who looks at it would live, same way God sent His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.

The serpent was not an allegory or a type of Christ, but the message here is that God used the symbol of the serpent in the wilderness to make an open show of satan and the sun he introduced, and that whatever he represents will be undone by Jesus Christ the only begotten son by His death on the cross of Calvary.

It was the lifting up of the son of man on the cross that could defeat satan and sin once and for all, and this is the victory we now enjoy in Christ.

Any tool, animate or inanimate can be an instrument in the hands of God, and He equally uses any mechanism to achieve His purpose.

When satan deceived Adam and Eve in the garden, he thought he had won forever, but little did he know that God who knows the end from the beginning had a PERFECT PLAN FOR THE REDEMPTION OF MANKIND.

BEHOLD JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY; LOOK TO HIM NOW AND LIVE.

CUT IT OFF: DEALING WITH SIN FAST ENOUGH (DAY 147 OF 365)

CUT IT OFF: DEALING WITH SIN FAST ENOUGH
(Nuggets from Mark 9:43)

Our Lord Jesus Christ in this illustration wasn't implying that you should literally cut off your hands, but it was a symbolic statement, highlighting the danger of losing something much more invaluable because of a wrong choice of holding on to the things you count as important to you.

Let's drive this point home with an illustration.

Imagine a mother of father refusing to scold their child from a tender age for every misconduct. They see those manifestations of the nasty nature and mischievous acts innate in the child and instead of correcting the child, they pamper him or her till it gets to a point where the child is no longer malleable.

They traded RAISING A RESPONSIBLE CHILD for an EASY LIFE. The end of that child will be nothing but MISERY and CHAOS.

Goliath, the popular champion of Gath was once a baby; he wasn’t born a giant, he grew into one.
Giants don’t just crash into our lives unannounced. They are nurtured, cultivated, and tolerated until they become unmanageable.

The giants in your life, those looming struggles of sin, shame, addiction, bad habits or pride rarely appear full-grown. More often, they begin in seed form, masked as:

A small compromise;
A half-truth;
A silent grudge;
An indulgence that looks seemingly innocent;
A single click on that website;
A play button on that video;
A word spoken in anger.
Delayed obedience, etc.

At first, they appear harmless, perhaps even harmless curiosities. But you must understand that the VINEYARD of your life is not destroyed by WOLVES; it is ruined by LITTLE FOXES, the unexpected, unassuming small things that sneak in unnoticed and eventually ravage what God intended to bloom.

A curiosity becomes a fascination.
A fascination becomes a habit.
A habit becomes bondage.
And bondage, if left unchecked, becomes a giant, and one day you look up and ask, “How did this happen? How did I get here?” It didn’t happen overnight.

This is why Solomon urges us to “catch the little foxes”, not because they are dangerous now, but because they will become dangerous in the long run if left unchecked.

So today, ask yourself with honesty and humility: What baby giants am I nurturing? Because if you don't confront them while they’re small, they’ll confront you when they’re big.

What is that hand that you are KEEPING INTACT? As useful as the hand is, Jesus said if it will take you to hell, do away with it immediately.

What is that “baby giant” in your life that you've been excusing?

What are those small liberties that have become recurring patterns?

What are those besetting sins that have mesmerized you and left you for dead?

You can't afford to risk MANAGING them or pretending that all is well with you.

CUT OFF THAT SIN IMMEDIATELY! DEAL WITH IT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE BEFORE IT DEALS WITH YOU!

DRAWING GOD'S ATTENTION OR NOT? (DAY 146 OF 365)

DRAWING GOD'S ATTENTION OR NOT?
(Nuggets from 1 Peter 3:12)

God is looking intently at all His children who are trusting in Him and keeping the Faith in this sinful world. He doesn't just look at them, His ears are also open to answer their prayers whenever they call on Him.

God hears the righteous when they pray. It's that simple, and unless you sit in this truth as a GENUINE CHILD OF GOD, you will miss how incredible and life-altering it is.

In 1 Peter 5, Peter tells us to humble ourselves before the Lord and to cast our cares upon him. He explains that we have an adversary who is attacking us and that Christians throughout the world are suffering. But in verse 7 he grounds his command to cast our cares upon the Lord in a simple truth: "because He cares for you."

Unfortunately, many children of God take this short phrase for granted?

Stop right now to consider: God cares for you. So? So cast your cares upon him. He cares about you, so he wants to hear what's concerning you. It's that simple. But this simple realization will change your life. Please, let this Rhema give you that paradigm shift.

Not only does the Bible teach that God listens when we pray, it's also clear that He listens BEFORE we pray. Psalm 139 is eloquent in saying that before we can even form a word on our lips, God already knows what we're going to say. He knows the words before we do. He's listening before it even occurs to us to speak.

There is never a moment when God is not there with you. If you accidentally find yourself in a situation where you're in trouble and feel far from God, he's there! If you have actively tried to run from him, doing your best to get yourself in the darkest possible situation, He's there too!

David even says that if you could count the grains of sand on the shore, you still wouldn't be approaching the number of times God thinks about you. He's more attentive than the most attentive friend or spouse. He's always there as a friend, ultra-concerned to hear what is on your mind.

On the other hand, Apostle Peter wrote that the face of God is against them that do evil. These are the SINNERS and all those who despise God. Their prayers are an all abomination to God and He does not have any business giving them attention because they do not deserve His time.

Those that do evil are REBELS. Whilst the RIGHTEOUS attract and draw God's attention, the WICKED repel God instead, He detests them and has absolutely nothing to do with them. Their prayers can never be answered by God because they have no regard whatsoever for their maker.

These evil doers consistently put themselves in harm's way by being alienated from God. His hedge of protection does not cover them, and if they remain in evil till they breathe their last, hell fire becomes their ultimate destination.

WITH YOUR CURRENT LIFESTYLE, ARE YOU DRAWING GOD'S ATTENTION OR REPELLING HIM?

THE WICKED AND THE UPRIGHT - A COMPARISON OF SACRIFICES (DAY 145 OF 365)

THE WICKED AND THE UPRIGHT - A COMPARISON OF SACRIFICES
(Nuggets from Proverbs 15:8)

Today's scripture does a comparison between THE WICKED AND THE UPRIGHT (RIGHTEOUS). What makes them different and how does God see their sacrifices?

Sacrifice of the wicked here stands for every religious duty performed by a wicked man, done in hypocrisy.
In Isaiah 1:11, the Prophet wrote:
"To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices into me? Says the Lord; I am full of the Burnt Offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or if he goats."
The very worship which God commanded was debased by the people of Judah and this made their sacrifices to become an abomination in His sight, because they were more interested in the ceremony and not what the ceremony represented - Jesus Christ who was CRUCIFIED for the redemption of mankind.

In verse 13, God warned them to stop bringing VAIN OBLATIONS to Him; the incense was declared an abomination to Him, as well as the new moons, sabbaths, and calling of assemblies and solemn meetings
All the religious activities which were genuine and God-given according to the Jewish tradition were emptied of their significance and became an abomination to God because they were done as a matter of fulfillment of obligation, sacrifices with sin-stained hands and dirty hearts; these are the SACRIFICES OF THE WICKED.

On the other hand, we have the UPRIGHT, whose SACRIFICES are a sweet smelling savour to God, like the SACRIFICE OF ABEL.

Abel put more care into his offering/sacrifice. He brought the best portions from the firstborn of the flock and gave it as an offering to God.

The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering. Abel might not have even been aware that his offering had become a competition.
When you come to God's presence to offer sacrifices, come with the PUREST OF HEARTS, not entertaining any form of impurity or sin. An acceptable Sacrifice is such that is done to give glory to God, not to impress anyone.

The PRAYERS, WORSHIP, OFFERINGS, and all SACRIFICES of the UPRIGHT are PLEASANT to the Lord and He honours them.

Coming to offer to God with malice, implacability, animosity, revenge, hatred, lust, and every other kind of vice in the heart can be likened to THE SACRIFICE OF THE WICKED, but coming to God with a heart that is void of offense towards God and man,  a forgiving heart, a heart that is at peace with all, no records of sin and no chances of being indicted by God is what God demands.

WHAT KIND OF SACRIFICE HAVE YOU BEEN OFFERING TO GOD?

IT'S TIME TO OFFER THE RIGHT SACRIFICES TO GOD!

WHITER THAN SNOW (DAY 144 OF 365)

WHITER THAN SNOW
(Nuggets from Psalm 51:7)

This was the Psalmist praying for forgiveness and cleansing when Prophet Nathan came to him to reprimand him after he committed adultery with Bathsheba and killed Uriah her husband.

In verse 3, King David acknowledged his sins, which is a very important condition that must be fulfilled if you must earn GOD'S FORGIVENESS. God cannot forgive anyone who fails to acknowledge or take responsibility for their sins.

In verse 5, he further acknowledged that he was shaped in INIQUITY and conceived in sin, a statement of fact indeed, because we were all born in sin as a result of the Fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

In today's verse, David pleaded that God should purge him with hyssop, and he shall be clean; and that he should be washed so he shall be whiter than snow. Remember, Jesus had not yet died on the cross at this time. David was an ancestor of Jesus because our saviour emerged from the root of David. So how could David be asking for purging and washing?

In the old testament, on the Passover Day, a bunch of Hyssop was what the Israelites used to apply the blood of the lamb on the lintel and the two side posts of their doors so that the angel of death would pass over them while the first born children of the Egyptians were slain that same night.

David was saying "purge me with the blood which on that night in Egypt was sprinkled on the doorposts with a bunch of Hyssop."
He was prophetically depending on the BLOOD OF THE LAMB, Jesus.
It was the SINCERITY of David that endeared him to God. He didn't want to justify his actions or cover his sins of adultery and murder, and that was one of the reasons God called him a man after God's own heart.

David acknowledged his sins, confessed, forsook, and sought forgiveness and he was washed as he requested. Now fast forward to this dispensation, Jesus has died already and there's no need for Hyssop or blood of a lamb to wash sins away.

Jesus became the Substitute who atoned or paid for your sins. You and I were going to have to pay for them. It was either going to be our death or Jesus’ death. He is the Substitute who died to pay for our sins and atone for them.

Jesus was the PROPITIATION/PAYMENT for our sin. You do not have to bring a lamb and offer it up on the altar at the temple. The Lamb was slain on the cross. Jesus was the Substitute so that if only you could place your faith in Him, you would be saved and have your sins washed away.

This is how our lives are made pure: through the blood that was shed for us. Now, think of the price that He paid. He paid an amazing, incredible price to buy you back. To redeem us, the price was His life.

Jesus is the Lamb of God, slain to pay for your sin and my sin. He bought us back. The Lord of lords and the King of kings loved you so much that He gave His life on the cross so that you and I could experience the forgiveness that comes when we trust Him as our Savior.

Have you trusted Him as your Savior? Have you placed your faith in Christ’s death and appropriated it so that His life could live through you and you could be assured of eternal life?

Jesus is the substitutionary Atonement and the PROPITIATION for your sins, He has paid for your sins in full, and died to secure your salvation, so, why should you pay for it again with your life?

ONLY JESUS CAN WASH YOUR SINS AWAY AND MAKE YOU WHITER THAN SNOW.

WHY CONTINUE IN SIN WHILE GRACE ABOUNDS? (DAY 143 OF 365)

WHY CONTINUE IN SIN WHILE GRACE ABOUNDS?
(Nuggets from Romans 6:1)

Just because GRACE is greater than sin doesn't mean that the believer has a license to sin. GRACE IS NOT A LICENSE TO SIN. Romans 5:20B states that WHERE SIN ABOUNDED, GRACE DID MUCH MORE ABOUND; meaning that where sin increased, grace super-abounded.

Many Christians feel they can comfortably remain in sin just because they know the GRACE of God is very much available, but that is an error and a risky venture.

Grace is what empowers a child of God to live a RIGHTEOUS LIFE despite being in a CORRUPT WORLD. The RIGHTEOUSNESS we have as children of God is not ours, but imputed by virtue of our acknowledgement of Jesus as our Lord and saviour, so we are taking advantage of His RIGHTEOUSNESS, and this is what makes us the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.

Unfortunately, many so-called Christians ABUSE the GRACE OF GOD simply because they feel they can sin whenever they like and confess afterwards and God will still accept them.

This is OUTRIGHT WICKEDNESS!

Hebrews 10:26 says "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins."

Jesus died on the cross of Calvary once and for all, and if anyone decides to continue in sin after  repentance, it means there was no REPENTANCE in the first place, it was FAKE AND PRETENTIOUS. Eternity is not something anyone should joke with, because GRACE IS NOT ETERNAL; only those who take advantage of the Grace of God while it is still very much available will reap the dividends thereof.

GOD'S GRACE IS GREATER THAN YOUR SINS, but this should not be a ticket to go neck deep into sin because you feel God will answer you when you run back to him to confess your sins.

Going back to sin is like eating vomit and this if anyone who has once been forgiven by God decides to return the quagmire of sin, it means such a person wants to CRUCIFY JESUS ONCE AGAIN.

Jesus Christ has died once and for all, so continuing in sin means you don't cherish or place value on his sacrifice/death on the cross.

GRACE IS NOT A LICENSE TO SIN; IT'S THE VICTORY YOU HAVE OVER SIN; DON'T ABUSE IT.

SEARCH ME AND KNOW ME, LORD (DAY 142 OF 365)

SEARCH ME AND KNOW ME, LORD
(Nuggets from Psalm 139:1)

It took PERFECT SUBMISSION and OBEDIENCE for the Psalmist to acknowledge that God has searched and known him.

As he sets his gaze on the LORD, David realizes he wasn’t scrambling to try to get God’s attention, but rather God’s gaze was already set on him. Our God is never ambivalent, uninterested, or engrossed in something else. He’s on a perpetual and never-ending search and rescue mission, seeking us out even when we’re unaware that we’re lost!

The very word for “search” in this context is tied to DIGGING and EXCAVATING. It’s not a shallow or quick uncovering but a thorough one that goes down to the deepest recesses of our lives. God is the great EXCAVATOR and DIGGER and He's intentionally after something real in us even when we’re unaware of what is underneath the surface of our actions and intentions.

The reason God knows you is because He searches you. There are no boundaries to the knowledge of God. God’s knowledge is LIMITLESS. The psalmist worships the God who knows all things; His knowledge is absolute, including even human thoughts, not limited to external “see-able” behavior. 1 John 3:20 states that God “GOD KNOWS ALL THINGS.” He is the King of the universe who SEES and KNOWS all things. As you lifted your head from your pillow this morning, His eye was upon you. As you go about your day, He sees every step, motive, and attitude. Across planet Earth, there is no crack or crevice or person unknown or unseen.

Today's scripture points us back to the reality that God is truly the omniscient God (He knows everything)!

God knows you. Let that sink in. He knows you; not only does God know all things generally, but He also knows all His creation personally. Often we can keep truths at a distance through broad generalizations but never consider how these great truths affect us practically. One might say, “God loves the world,” but have a much harder time saying, “God loves me.”

Have you ever wondered if God sees and knows you individually? Does He care about you? This psalm resoundingly tells us, “Yes! God knows you.”

God's omniscience is accompanied by great compassion and mercy. We see this compassion primarily in His Son Jesus, who came to earth to rescue and redeem a lost world for Himself.

It was precisely because He was acquainted with all our ways and knew how bad off we really were that He left heaven, took on flesh, and accepted to die in our place.

HAVE YOU SUBMITTED TO GOD AND SURRENDERED YOUR ALL TO HIM TO SEARCH YOU AND KNOW YOU INSIDE OUT?

TO HATE EVERY FALSE WAY (DAY 141 OF 365)

TO HATE EVERY FALSE WAY
(Nuggets from Psalm 119:128)

The Psalmist expresses a high level of regard for God's precepts/words here, showing the INSPIRATION, MORAL PERFECTION, INFALLIBILITY, and AUTHORITY of God's word. He further showcases the word of God as a MORAL TEACHER that begets hostility to evil, planting LOVE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS and HATRED FOR INIQUITY in the life of any genuine child of God.

The essence of God's word is to dispel every form of darkness, illumine the heart, and make it devoid of lies and falsehood.

Lies rarely show up loudly. They slip in quietly through comparison, culture, or the voice in your own head. In the garden, the serpent didn’t begin with an attack; he began with a question: “Did God really say…?” Unfortunately, he still uses this strategy till today; just a whisper of doubt,  a small suggestion that seems safe and normal, evil masked with what appears to be good.

The world feeds us with lies at a very high speed, and these lies settle deep when we don’t question them. Eve didn’t fall because she was weak; she fell because the lie sounded close enough to the truth.

Unlearning lies begins with recognizing them, and how best can you recognize a lie if you do not scan it with the word of God?
The bible exposes every lie and it is your safest and most reliable resort if you are willing to know the truth on any matter. Society or global standards should not be your yardstick of measurement or determinant of what is TRUE OR FALSE. In every instance, look through the lens of God's word to know the next step to take and the right decision to make.

Thoughts are that potent and have the propensity to shape how you see yourself. Without relying on God's word, it becomes very easy to accept a lie as truth and run with it.
Many of the lies we carry didn’t start with us, but they can end with us if we fail to depend on God's word.

To hate every false way is to hate every form of falsehood, every lie, every appearance of evil, every form of deception, and abhor those that propagate them, keeping them at bay.

GOD KNOWS OUR WAYS (DAY 140 OF 365)

GOD KNOWS OUR WAYS
(Nuggets from Proverbs 5:21)

God has records of all our activities in this world. His eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth, carefully observing everything we do, both good and bad.

Every evil conceived in the heart is visible to God, and the thoughts that are yet to be lived out practically are seen by Him; virtually everything we do is clearly seen by Him. What should this mean to a SINCERE CHILD OF GOD?

God wants us to fear Him both in secret and in the open. Most "Christians" are only concerned about the perception men have about them, hence, they pretend in public spaces, deceiving people with their sanctimonious display and piety, like the Pharisees.

The church of today is inundated with such FAKE CHRISTIANS with "HOLIER THAN THOU ATTITUDE", always apt to judge others but never accepting their faults or willing to be corrected.

The fact that God knows our ways should not make any SINCERE CHRISTIAN afraid or panic; it should rather make you live with caution and be more mindful of your actions.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it? Who can perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind? Only God knows the inner workings of your heart, allow Him to guide your moral framework. Only God can transform you from the inside out, heal you and fill every void in your heart.

Let the framework of your heart be shaped by the principles and precepts of His Word, let your moral character be shaped by God's word, and be ready to submit yourself for constant purification.

IF YOU CAN BE SINCERE ENOUGH TO SUBMIT YOUR HEART TO GOD FOR CLEANSING, THERE WILL BE NO ROOM FOR HYPOCRISY OR CORRUPTION.

WHO WILL GOD FIND FAITHFUL? (DAY 139 OF 365)

WHO WILL GOD FIND FAITHFUL?
(Nuggets from Psalm 14:2)

"God 'LOOKED' down from Heaven"..
This is both a past tense, and a future tense. However, in reality, GOD LOOKS DOWN FROM HEAVEN, which is a present-continuous tense, showing that God is always looking down from Heaven to observe the children of men.
But the question is: For what reason exactly?

The Psalmist writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit was addressing the fact that God looks down upon the children of men from His throne, to see if there are any who understand and seek Him.

In times past, God looked down from Heaven to see if there were those who were still holding on and standing tall for Him, and He found Faithfuls like Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Job, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Stephen, The Apostles of the New Testament, etc.

In this generation, God is still looking down from Heaven to see if He will find Enochs, Abrahams, Noahs, Jobs, Daniels, Shadrachs, Meshachs and Abednegos, Stephens, Apostles like Paul, etc. Will God count you among the FAITHFUL in this generation?

When the saints leave this world at the rapture, the tribulation will commence. During the tribulation, the CARELESS CHRISTIANS who missed the rapture and know the consequences of taking the mark of the beast would rather choose to pay with their blood, subjecting themselves to the pain and torture of the antichrist during the second half of his reign.

THIS IS SUCH A RISK NOT WORTH TAKING!

If Christians of our time are struggling with sin and managing to cope and live RIGHTEOUSLY in this world now that the GRACE OF GOD is still very much available, what would be the fate of the CARELESS believers who missed the rapture?

Nevertheless, God will look down from Heaven during the tribulation to know if there are those who will UNDERSTAND the cost of not receiving the mark and choose to seek Him instead.

The SAINTS are still around, and there is still an opportunity to make things right with God.

Will God find you faithful if He looks down from Heaven now?

GOD'S EYES ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR THE FAITHFUL AMONG THE CHILDREN OF MEN ON EARTH.

THE PUBLICAN'S PENITENCE (DAY 138 OF 365)

THE PUBLICAN'S PENITENCE
(Nuggets from Luke 18:13)

This was the parable of the PHARISEE and the PUBLICAN. Jesus spoke this parable for the sake of those who trust themselves - THE SELF-RIGHTEOUS.

These two individuals went to the temple and prayed to God, but only one would be heard; the PUBLICAN who would most definitely not be acceptable to men.

There was a twist here!

The PUBLICAN was a Tax collector, one usually seen by the Israelites as a traitor, someone who by men's standards should not be qualified to access SALVATION.

On the other hand was the PHARISEE, a FUNDAMENTALIST, one who claimed to believe the entire Bible but his life was saying otherwise. Verse 11 shows us the kind of self-righteousness this Pharisee practiced. He stood and prayed thus for himself, meaning that his prayer even though directed to God, was not heard by God. He went further to compare himself with the Publican and said: "God, I thank you that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this Publican". He counted himself more righteous than the publican, he asked God for nothing because he felt he had need of nothing, and that was why he received nothing from God.

But the Publican on his part didn't count himself as worthy to come close to the temple, he stood afar off. He saw himself as a sinner who was unqualified to approach God's presence, and pleaded for forgiveness and acceptance, and ultimately, he got JUSTIFIED.

Today's scripture emphasizes the need to approach God's presence with a HUMBLE DISPOSITION, not coming before him to justify yourself or pretend as though you need no help and all is well with you.

LEARN FROM THE PUBLICAN, BE HUMBLE AND COME TO GOD IN SINCERITY OF HEART AND YOU WILL BE JUSTIFIED.

THE CHURCH IN SARDIS - LIVING BUT DEAD (DAY 137 OF 365)

THE CHURCH IN SARDIS - LIVING BUT DEAD
(Nuggets from Revelation 3:1)

John the Beloved wrote a letter to the seven churches in Asia Minor under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit on the Island of Patmos, and their case was such a critical one.

The reputation of the church of Sardis was that it appeared to be alive, but unfortunately, that did not match its true condition. In other words, their case was that of HYPOCRISY and PRETENCE. They were living and relying on the past glory, which means that they were once vibrant and spiritually sound, but over time, they degenerated into a state of complacency and comatose.

Revelation 3:1-4 gives us a sneak peek of the categories of people in the church of Sardis:
- The Dead
- The Ready to Die
- The ALIVE and UNDEFILED

These same categories of Christians are in the different Christian communities and congregations today.

If Jesus Christ our Lord were to write a letter to the Church of today, what kind of messages would we be receiving?

We have the DEAD in the congregations today, though physically alive, but SPIRITUALLY DEAD; they are those Christians who pay more attention to the flesh and satisfy the lusts thereof, they are BACKSLIDERS and SECRET SINNERS, POTENTIAL REPROBATES.

There are those who are READY TO DIE, they are the UNINTENTIONAL CHRISTIANS, CARELESS, INDIFFERENT and INCORRIGIBLE. They know they have problems, they know their hearts are not right with God, but they pretend as though all is well. These are likened to the five FOOLISH VIRGINS; What a risky state!

The next category of Christians in Sardis were the ALIVE and UNDEFILED. These are likened to the five WISE VIRGINS, the RIGHTEOUS, HOLY, SPOTLESS, BLAMELESS and FAULTLESS Christians, TRUE AMBASSADORS of Christ; they are the RAPTURE-READY and HEAVEN-BOUND.

Our Lord Jesus warned the Church in Sardis through John the Beloved to wake up and live out the faith they professed. If not, He would come at an unexpected time to hold them to account.

Their Faith was a NOMINAL kind of faith and just as it was with the Church in Sardis, so many Christians today are practicing NOMINAL CHRISTIANITY, and this is a serious threat to the universal body of Christ. Many profess the name of Christ, but their lives reveal that they are enemies of Christ.

The root of the problem of these Christians in Sardis was they had gotten so self-sufficient in their own minds that they didn’t feel they needed the Holy Spirit anymore. They felt they had arrived and therefore could do everything on their own, which is a very dangerous place to be.

This warning applies to us in this era - THE MODERN DAY CHURCH.

If the church in Sardis could have such issues, how much more the church of this present day?

WHAT CATEGORY ARE YOU IN THE CHURCH OF TODAY? DEAD, READY TO DIE OR ALIVE AND UNDEFILED?

FREE FROM THE LAW OF SIN & DEATH (DAY 136 OF 365)

FREE FROM THE LAW OF SIN & DEATH
(Nuggets from Romans 8:2)

God, in His omniscience, knew He would create man, man would fall, and man would be redeemed by Jesus Christ going to the cross. God knew this before the universe was created, and this makes the cross the foundation of man's redemption.

The LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST is the doctrine of SUPERNATURAL GRACE in the GOSPEL, accompanied with the QUICKENING POWER, and INFLUENCE of the Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul testified that this latter law was what made him free from the law of SIN and DEATH, the former law, referring to the Mosaic laws and Jewish laws, an era of ATONEMENT that offered no form of JUSTIFICATION, but instead left men in CONDEMNATION and GUILT.

SIN has an ultimate consequence which is ETERNAL DEATH and this was what Apostle Paul was delivered from, hence this Epistle.

In other words, The Spirit of Christ, giving him a new life, was another law that freed him from the motions and power of sin, to which he was subject while under the Mosaic laws and the Jewish laws.

This new law, the law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST freed him from the death to which that former law subjected him.

Prior to his CONVERSION and SALVATION, Apostle Paul was under both the MOSAIC LAW and the JEWISH LAW, an ardent observer of the laws and traditions, and a typical Pharisee whose life was governed by this law in question.

Paul observed the Mosaic Laws which were the written commandments of God given to Moses, otherwise known as the Torah, classified under moral, civil, and ceremonial laws.

In Philippians 3:6, Apostle Paul wrote:
"As to my zeal, I was a persecutor of the church, and by the Law's standard of righteousness (supposed justice, uprightness, and right standing with God) I was proven to be blameless and no fault was found with me." His RIGHTEOUSNESS before encountering Christ was based on his religious observation of these laws.

The LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST is the VICTORY you have over SIN AND DEATH. Because Jesus died on the cross, His divine power has given you everything you need for LIFE and GODLINESS.

The measure of victory that you get over sin in your life is not owing to your own power, but owing to the work of the Spirit of God in you.

TO SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST (DAY 135 OF 365)

TO SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST
(Nuggets from Luke 19:10)

SEEKING takes a lot of effort, and it is not just a mere quest but an active one. The quest for dying souls is such that Jesus had to sacrifice His life for, a search that took Him to the cross of Calvary.

The lost in this context are not those who are physically lost and cannot find their way anymore, but the SPIRITUALLY LOST, who can't find their way to the cross.

What does it really mean to be lost? It means to be disconnected from God and not having a personal encounter with Jesus Christ His only son who is the ONLY WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE.

Being SPIRITUALLY LOST is such a tragedy and a precursor to being LOST FOREVER. It means to be alienated from a life with God, living outside of God’s design; falling short of His will for your life, fulfilling fleshly desires, walking under the influence of the power of sin, being a chronic evil-doer, being blind and not having ones eyes of understanding enlightened, being a slave to the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life, and all these makes the victim subject to the wrath that sin brings.

Jesus Christ came to this world with a PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT - to SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST, those who acknowledge that they can't find their way anymore, the blind, the maimed, and helpless.

It is one thing to be LOST and another TO KNOW YOU ARE LOST. So many people feel comfortable in their precarious situations and don't mind remaining there, just like the Israelites who were delivered from the servitude in Egypt but because they couldn't bear little inconvenience in the wilderness, they started missing the Cucumber and Garlic, preferring the pain inflicted on them by their taskmasters to the transient discomfort of journeying through the wilderness to get to the promised land.

To all those who acknowledge that they are lost and need to find their way back, the GOOD NEWS is that Jesus came to SEEK AND SAVE the LOST.

Jesus is on a rescue mission for YOU, because you are that IMPORTANT to Him; IF YOU ARE LOST, YOU CAN STILL BE FOUND.

THE SOUL THAT LONGS FOR GOD (DAY 134 OF 365)

THE SOUL THAT LONGS FOR GOD
(Nuggets from Psalm 63:8)

Revelation 4:11 tells us the main purpose of our creation - FOR THE PLEASURE OF GOD. God desires to look at His creation and feel proud that He made them in His image and likeness.

The human soul needs spiritual food to thrive just as the body needs food to survive. But there’s only one energy source that can completely nourish, satisfy, empower, and sustain us: relationship with the living God.

The soul is eternal but dwelling in temporal mortal bodies, and it is designed to be in constant communion with God through worship. Created in God’s image, we long to be connected to the One who made us and knows us best just as children long to be connected to their parents.

In a bid to ensure that your soul longs for God consistently, the more aware you become of your desire to love, serve, and obey God, the more likely you are suffer the consequences of living in a fallen world filled with sinful people.

We say we want closeness with God, but when we have free time, we scroll through our phones endlessly;

We say we want His peace, but we get distracted so easily;

We say we want His presence, but we wait until we’re drained or desperate before we run back to Him;

The truth is that you can't long for God if there is no desire to build intimacy with Him.

INTIMACY WITH GOD IS POSSIBLE.

It’s not reserved for Pastors, Bishops, Prophets or Apostles.
It’s for YOU, and it starts with one thing: INTENTIONALITY.

THE JOY OF A LOST SOUL COMING HOME (DAY 133 OF 365)

THE JOY OF A LOST SOUL COMING HOME
(Nuggets from Luke 15:24)

One beautiful thing about the GRACE OF GOD that brings SALVATION is that it is all-inclusive.
No matter how deep your sins are, or how dirty your past is, EVERY LOST SOUL HAS A CHANCE TO COME HOME, WHILE THE OFFER OF GRACE LASTS.

Every sin has a beginning. On the front end, sin always looks ENTICING, FUN, SATISFYING and PLEASURABLE, but sin will always take you to places you never envisaged or intended to go.

In his dire situation, the prodigal son came to his senses and decided to return to his father, admitting his wrongs and seeking forgiveness.
He got tired of his folly and decided to repent. REPENTANCE is a powerful step towards HEALING and RESTORATION. Acknowledging your mistakes and seeking forgiveness opens the door to RENEWAL and RECONCILIATION. It shows the importance of humility and the courage to admit when you have gone astray.

The father, seeing his son from a distance, ran to him, embraced him, and celebrated his return with a grand feast, despite the son’s previous actions. The father’s response exemplifies UNCONDITIONAL LOVE and FORGIVENESS. It teaches us about the boundless grace of God, who welcomes us back with open arms, no matter how far we have strayed. It also challenges us to extend forgiveness and love to others, mirroring the father’s example.

The parable of the prodigal son typifies God's EXPRESSION towards a LOST SINNER who was eventually FOUND by God's GRACE, and the REACTION that ensues in Heaven amongst the Angels. This joy is inexplicable because the worth of a soul is INESTIMABLE, and one soul delivered from the paws of satan is a win for the Kingdom of God, hence the jubilation.

Just like the father of the prodigal son, who didn't recount the rascal life of his repentant son, God will not recount or remember your sins anymore because HE FORGIVES AND FORGETS, provided you ACKNOWLEDGE your sins, REPENT, CONFESS and FORSAKE THEM.

SPREAD THE MESSAGE FAR AND WIDE, THE ARMS OF GOD ARE WIDE OPEN TO RECEIVE EVERY REPENTANT SINNER; JUBILATION AWAITS YOU.

THE PRODIGAL RETURNS (DAY 132 OF 365)

THE PRODIGAL RETURNS
(Nuggets from Luke 15:18)

The prodigal son was VERY CONSCIOUS and knew what he was doing when he went to his father and asked for his own portion of the family inheritance. However, the devil does not need you to be aware of what you are doing before he pushes you far away from home while you successfully drift from your maker.

It is VERY POSSIBLE to drift UNAWARE. This drifting doesn’t happen all at once but over time, and those SMALL DRIFT in your day-to-day actions can produce GREAT SHIFTS you would never imagine.

As Solomon wrote, it’s the little foxes that spoil the vine. Those unresolved issues, unconfessed sins, secret sins are the things that undermine your relationship with God, including those things you might not notice, that seem small, invisible, undetected.

It is important to ask some pertinent questions like these about your RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD:

- Have I stopped pursuing God and started deprioritizing my time with Him?

- Have I stopped consuming God’s Word and started living off leftovers?

- Have I stopped responding to the Holy Spirit at once and started delaying?

- Have I stopped caring and started growing callous about His convictions?

- Have I stopped praying and started trusting myself to figure things out on my own?

- Have I stopped seeking more of Him?

"I WILL ARISE AND GO TO MY FATHER"
is the first step for the penitent soul, and until that step is taken, until that need to return home is realized, every PRODIGAL SON/DAUGHTER in this category must realize that DELAY IS DANGEROUS.

GOD SEES AND KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU (DAY 131 OF 365)

GOD SEES AND KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU
(Nuggets from Hebrews 4:13)

God is OMNIPRESENT - He is everywhere at the same time;
God is OMNISCIENT - He knows everything. From eternity past till this present day, till the future and eternity to come, nothing has ever happened without His knowledge, nothing is happening currently without His knowledge and nothing will ever happen without God's knowledge.

The Psalmist wrote:
"My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them." - Psalm 139:15-16.

The thoughts of your heart, both past, present and future are all before His eyes. He sees the silent meditations and musings, the ponderings of your heart that no one else sees are all BEFORE THE SIGHT OF GOD. There is no creature that is not manifest in His sight, both SPIRIT BEINGS and HUMANS.

All the 'SECRETS' of men are naked and opened unto the eyes of God with whom we have to do. This should not be a problem to a SINCERE CHILD OF GOD who lives a TRANSPARENT LIFE void of any form of INIQUITY.

Men see the outward appearance and display of piety but God sees and knows THE REAL YOU that is BEHIND THE MASK OF HYPOCRISY.
God hates HYPOCRISY, and anyone who calls on the name of the Lord must avoid HYPOCRISY by all means.

It is an irony that humans are afraid of their fellow mortals and pretend to be nice just to get commendations that have no eternal consequence, or lie to escape trouble or punishment that ends here, while abusing the GRACE OF GOD and despising our CREATOR whose RECOMMENDATION is all that matters to the HUMAN SOUL, and by so doing, preparing themselves for an ETERNAL PUNISHMENT that never ends.

OPEN UP YOUR HEART TO GOD TODAY, CONFESS EVERY SECRET SIN, AND ELECT TO REMAIN TRANSPARENT, TRUTHFUL AND FAITHFUL TO GOD TILL THE END, HIDING NOTHING FROM HIM.

NOT MOVED BY AFFLICTIONS (DAY 130 OF 365)

NOT MOVED BY AFFLICTIONS
(Nuggets from 1 Thessalonians 3:3)

Apostle Paul was perturbed about the spiritual condition of the church in Thessalonica and he sent Timothy to go and establish the brethren over there, because they needed more teachings and admonition to comfort and encourage them.

His message to them through Timothy was that they should never be moved by the afflictions they were facing, because every follower of Christ has been DESTINED or APPOINTED to go through afflictions as part of our suffering and identification with Christ.

GENUINE BELIEVERS
share something in common -  THE FIGHT AGAINST SIN and THE OPPOSITION FROM THE WORLD.

It is a privilege for a CHRISTIAN to suffer for the cause of Christ: “It has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him” (Philippians 1:29). Christians should not be surprised at the painful trials they suffer but should rejoice that they “participate in the sufferings of Christ”. This sense of privilege in suffering is what we should count worthy because it shows how committed we are to the calling.

Most Christians are tempted to rage against God and cast blame on Him for allowing them to suffer so harshly for so long, forgetting that carrying the cross and following Jesus isn't an easy task.

When you endure trials, you must resist the temptation to play the blame game. These lines of thinking are natural and reactive and usually cannot be avoided in the midst of such trials. Anytime something goes wrong or we suffer a loss, we’re likely to wonder why.

Your trials can become opportunities for God’s light to shine through the cracks of your brokenness.

If you want to TRANSITION from SURVIVING to THRIVING, you must be willing to see by FAITH and not by SIGHT.

ONE THING THOU LACKEST (DAY 129 OF 365)

ONE THING THOU LACKEST
(Nuggets from Mark 10:21)

The rich young ruler ran to Jesus for SPIRITUAL HELP, asking the master what he should do to inherit eternal life; he never knew that ETERNAL LIFE cannot be acquired by INHERITANCE.

ETERNAL LIFE IS A FREE GIFT that one receives with the acceptance of Christ.

The rich young ruler was not only sincere but also practically perfect in his observance of Jewish law. However, Jesus pointed out “one thing” the man lacked: he didn’t want to let go of his love of money in order to fully serve and follow God.

What is the one thing that may be lacking in your walk with Christ? What is the one thing you have difficulty walking away from, in order to wholeheartedly follow Jesus? If you are truly missing one thing, would you want Jesus to point it out to you and fix it for you?

Jesus reminded the rich young man of the Ten Commandments, and the man declared, “Teacher, all these I have kept since I was a boy” (Mark 10:20). Then Jesus said, “One thing you lack…Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

The Bible says, “At this, the man’s face fell. He went away sad because he had great wealth.”

This interesting exchange challenges us to take an honest inventory of our hearts. Jesus Christ is inviting you to examine what your number-one priority really is.
Are you striving for perfection through an endless religious to-do list while overlooking an unhealthy attachment to temporary, worldly things, or are you wholeheartedly committed to Chris and ready to drop and give up all excesses?

Take some time today to pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you that “one thing” you need to surrender to Him. There’s no need to walk away sad like the rich young ruler because there is so much joy and satisfaction awaiting you when you get rid of your idols and make Jesus your first priority!

WHAT DOES THE SUFFERING OF CHRIST MEAN TO YOU? (DAY 128 OF 365)

WHAT DOES THE SUFFERING OF CHRIST MEAN TO YOU?
(Nuggets from 1 Peter 4:1)

Jesus Christ our Lord suffered in the flesh, He went through all the pain: the agony in the Garden, the ridicule and contempt by the Roman soldiers, the crucifixion, and ultimate death on the cross. Understanding the EXTENT and ESSENCE of the SUFFERING of Jesus Christ whilst in the flesh, should ARM ANY TRUE BELIEVER, and give you confidence that your VICTORY OVER THE FLESH IS POSSIBLE.

Jesus died to destroy sin; and though he cheerfully submitted to the worst of sufferings, yet he never gave way to sin, no matter how insignificant it seemed. He was TEMPTED, but TEMPTATION could not prevail.

As a TRUE CHRISTIAN, your primary duty should be to SAFEGUARD YOUR SALVATION by keeping away from and AVOIDING anything that  has the propensity of leading you to sin.

1st Peter 3:18 tells us that "Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit." This means that the suffering of Christ on the cross was but for one purpose - FOR THE SINS OF HUMANITY. However any Christian who chooses to continue in sin will suffer for the sins they indulge in.

A SINNER is not a CHRISTIAN and a Christian is not a sinner. You can't be both at the same time, and today's scripture has made it clear that since Jesus had already suffered in the FLESH, you as a child of God should automatically be entitled to freedom from sin.

You don't have to atone for those sins you have confessed, forsaken, and rejected; the blood of Jesus Christ will atone for you, provides you TRULY REPENTED.

In summary, God expects you to be CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST, reckon yourself as dead with Christ and raised with Him in Newness of life, a life VOID OF SIN.

LIVE WITH THIS CONSCIOUSNESS AND ENJOY A VICTORIOUS NEW LIFE IN CHRIST.

DON'T BE A SELF-SEEKER (DAY 127 OF 365)

DON'T BE A SELF-SEEKER
(Nuggets from Philippians 2:21)

Humans have this natural instinct of SELF-SEEKING, paying attention to things that pertain to them first before they think of whether to consider others or not. SELF-SEEKERS abound in our world today, and this is one of the major reasons evil keeps thriving by the day.

Self-seekers are selfish and narcissistic in nature, with no iota of empathy in them; they go all out to please themselves at the expense or detriment of others.

We fall victim to arrogance when we focus primarily on ourselves, becoming self-important and self-centred. Over time, Pride builds up and gradually leads to destruction and prevents such people from submitting to God's purpose for their lives.

God hates pride and ruthless, selfish ambition. Instead, He wants us to be humble, and become empathetic to others. With humility comes the ability to know, seek, and serve God with all our hearts. Philippians 2:3-4 says it best, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

When you continually place yourself in the spotlight, there would be no room for God to shine! If you want to be beneficial to God's kingdom, you must become altruistic.

To become more God-centered, you have to LET GO YOUR EGO. When you become less egocentric and ask God to give you a humble spirit and rely on His strength, He can do unimaginable things in your life.

Don't get it twisted, it's not wrong to have great self-esteem and a sense of self-worth. In fact, those are essential qualities, but you have to be careful not to compromise your values simply to be held in high regard.

In John the Baptist, we see a good example of the willingness to decrease in importance. As more and more people started following Jesus and were being baptized by Him instead of John, John's disciples became disturbed. They unknowingly put John into a position of competing against Jesus. But John, knowing that God had given him the task of pointing people to Jesus as the forerunner, he said, "He must become greater; I must become less." (John 3:30). Those words express GREAT HUMILITY!

However, the most remarkable and essential example of humility is Jesus Christ our Lord Himself. Born in a stable, He did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many; Humbly taking the sins of this world upon Himself and dying on the cross, He saved us from eternal death.

JESUS DID NOT SEEK HIS OWN PLEASURE; HE WAS AN EPITOME OF HUMILITY AND SELFLESSNESS; YOU TOO CAN BE LIKE HIM.

GOD SEES AND KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU (DAY 126 OF 365)

GOD SEES AND KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU
(Nuggets from Job 31:4)

The knowledge of this truth should make everyone pause, cross-check, refrain, and retrace their steps. God sees and knows everything about you. He SEES EVERY ACTIONKNOWS EVERY INTENTION, and READS THE THOUGHTS IN YOUR MIND.

Job’s statement was made out of a deeper understanding and conviction that God is all-knowing, so why should he pretend?

If only humans could understand that our “secrets” are open before God, then we would devote our time  to living in RIGHTEOUSNESS and refrain from Hypocrisy.

Don’t be deceived into believing that after conceiving evil in your heart and purposely committing it, God would readily pardon you anytime you come to Him and ask for forgiveness.

THE GRACE OF GOD IS NOT A LICENSE TO KEEP COMMITTING SIN.

When people commit sin willfully just because they feel the Blood of Jesus would avail for them, it is an ABUSE OF PRIVILEGE and the GRACE OF GOD cannot speak for such HYPOCRITES.

Today, like Job, the question you should ask yourself is:

Does He not see my ways? Isn’t He the one who counts my steps?

Your prayer today should be:
"Lord, I refuse to pretend before You anymore. I have decided to keep it real with you, no more hypocrisy, no more lip service, no more religiosity. I surrender to you totally without any reservations, help me Lord.

If men don’t see you, God does, and He is the Judge, so why pretend? Why play smart when there is an all-seeing Eye watching from above?

There is no need trying to hide from God, because He sees all your faults. Live transparently before God, feel free to confess your sins and ask Him for forgiveness. He knows you thoroughly anyway.

WHEN YOU HAVE REVERENTIAL FEAR FOR GOD, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT TRANSPARENCY IS A NON-NEGOTIABLE DEMAND.

LIVING IN PLEASURE - THE LIVING-DEAD (DAY 125 OF 365)

LIVING IN PLEASURE - THE LIVING-DEAD
(Nuggets from 1 Timothy 5:6)

Today's scripture addresses PLEASURE-SEEKERS, not gender-specific as the verse portrayed, but all males and females who are supposedly known as BELIEVERS but want to blend with the world and prioritize PLEASURE over PURITY of life.

Many so-called Christians still derived joy in PLAYING WITH SIN, they seek PLEASURE uncontrollably, satisfying the flesh and starving the Spirit man.

PLEASURE-SEEKERS are those who are given to:
- LUST OF THE FLESH
- LUST OF THE EYES
- PRIDE OF LIFE

These three are summed up in one word: PLEASURE.

Any thought or opinion that does not align with the Word of God is not from God. Regardless of the situation or what you feel is the right thing to do, what God says and your obedience in doing it matters. Your flesh will always want to do what’s contradictory to the Word of God. In knowing that, we shouldn’t be surprised when we have thoughts that don’t sound like our own, especially if they don’t sound as if they’re from God and His Word. This is why being in God’s Word daily is so important. Yes, I mean every day, not just on fellowship days, or during your family morning devotion.

There are way too many Christians recklessly bowing to sin because they lack the knowledge of God’s Word and experiential knowledge of who God is. With the average person having over 6,000 thoughts daily, we can agree that not every thought you have is from God. However, when you’re rooted in God’s Word, you can identify which thoughts are from God and which are not.

If you aren’t in God’s Word daily, you base your opinions and decisions on what you feel is right instead of what is right, which is always revealed in God’s Word. It’s time to stop following your feelings. It’s time to pick up God’s Word and let that be the uncompromising foundation of your life for answering all questions and making any decisions. In doing so, you will cast down every thought in opposition to God’s Word, making your mind obedient to Christ.

The WORLD is a difficult foe, It is a fortified wall around you. The FLESH is even MORE DANGEROUS because it is entrenched inside of you. However, as you gain victory over THE FOE OUTSIDE, you begin to understand the ENEMY WITHIN - THE FLESH.

Those who are constantly LIVING IN PLEASURE are otherwise known as THE LIVING DEAD, and how do you identify them?

- They OVERESTIMATE themselves.

- They UNDERESTIMATE the enemy within.

- They ASSUME God is still with them even though they play with sin; they abuse the GRACE OF GOD and the Blood of Jesus.

- They are BLIND to their INNER WEAKNESSES (they make light of the besetting sins that have ruined them already, still pretending to be following).

These actions of theirs lead to IGNORANCE and UNREPENTANCE of HIDDEN/SECRET SINS.

RIGHTEOUSNESS keeps you alive, but sin makes you a LIVING-DEAD person. The fact that you are breathing and your heart is still beating is not enough to conclude that you are alive.

THE REAL LIFE IS A LIFE THAT STEMS FROM RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS AND SPOTLESS, BLAMELESS, AND FAULTLESS PURITY.

DO NOT HARBOUR INIQUITY IN YOUR HEART (DAY 124 OF 365)

DO NOT HARBOUR INIQUITY IN YOUR HEART
(Nuggets from Psalm 66:18)

The Psalmist wrote this Scripture from a place of EXPERIENCE, knowing the damage sin had done to him as King of Israel.

The Kingdom of God is measured by RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS. To love RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLY LIVING is to value what God values. To HATE INIQUITY is to REJECT anything that distorts the truth of God's word.

INIQUITY is deliberate wrongdoing. It happens when you know what is right but choose otherwise. As a child of God, it is abnormal to entertain, practice or normalize iniquity. When you spend time studying God's word, you will have no spare time for INIQUITY.

INIQUITY IS SIN and vice versa.

To Harbour INIQUITY is to treat or handle sin with kids gloves, taking sin as a norm and practicing it without any fear or condemnation.
God is calling His true children to be like the BEREAN BELIEVERS who fact-checked every teaching (Acts 17:11).

Many Christians today are just interested in CHARISMA and display of the GIFTS of the Spirit but unfortunately pay little or no attention to acquiring the FRUIT of the Spirit.

Don't follow charisma; follow character. Study the Word, test the spirits, and stand firm in truth. Righteousness is the atmosphere where God’s anointing flows; it's not an optional virtue.

If you desire the oil of gladness, you must create an environment where HOLINESS thrives. You must be ready to LOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS, and HATE INIQUITY, and you will see God’s presence evident in your life.

God hears those who do not harbour iniquity in their heart but understand that as children of God, We are not called to fit into the world’s patterns but to reflect heaven’s values on earth.

The Apostle Peter reminds us:
“Be holy, for I am holy”
(1 Peter 1:16).

Holiness is not just seeking perfection; it is alignment with God's will, and choosing God’s way when culture offers convenience. Today, many believers are losing sight of this standard, especially on social media. The pressure to blend in has silenced conviction. But the Church must remember: we are pilgrims, not settlers.

Let righteousness become your measure. Let Scripture, not trends, define your values. Heaven’s throne is built on righteousness. When you love righteousness and hate iniquity, God anoints you with gladness above your peers.

This is HOLINESS CHALLENGE
