THE LORD'S COMMENDATION (DAY 84 OF 365)

THE LORD'S COMMENDATION
(Nuggets from 2 Corinthians 10:18)

God has a standard of approval which invalidates any form of approval of men. It is a futile effort to bank on human validation and approval, because when all is said and done, GOD'S STANDARD REMAINS THE ONLY YARDSTICK.
When you render any service to God or to men, do not wait for anyone to come and give you accolades or praise you.

God is the one who calls the shots and has the final say. He passes judgment in accordance with His estimate of your character, and not according to your own estimate.
Anyone God approves will be saved; if He does not approve you, all the empty boasting, fame, wealth, and status would be in vain.

No one can save whoever God does not commend from facing condemnation at last.

Eternal life cannot be purchased or acquired with money. Any wise child of God would intentionally do away with all disposition for vain glory, self-confidence, reliance on talents, attainments, or accomplishments and CHERISH THE INVALUABLE SALVATION THEY HAVE RECEIVED AT NO COST.

ZERO TOLERANCE FOR SIN AND SINNERS (DAY 83 OF 365)

ZERO TOLERANCE FOR SIN AND SINNERS
(Nuggets from Romans 1:32)

Today's scripture addresses those who DARE GOD BY REMAINING OBSTINATE IN SIN - THE REPROBATE.

When you are in Christ, sin does not have to rule over you or overtake you. When Christ is your Lord, He gives you the power to overthrow the enemy in every area of your life. When Christ lives in you, sin has to bow.

Sin gives the devil LEGAL RIGHT, UNRESTRICTED ACCESS and FOOTHOLD in your life.

When you were in the world, you had no choice but to surrender to the power of the enemy and the world’s way of doing things, sin was your master and ruled your actions; but  now, in Christ, you have been set free from the power of sin and its chokehold.

Unfortunately, FAMILIARITY with God's word, CARELESSNESS, HYPOCRISY and INSINCERITY are the little foxes that are harboured by unwary "Christians" which over time would make them degenerate to the point of REPROBACY.

There is a point at which God will stop pursuing a person. It comes after the person continuously rejects God’s reaching out to them. God cannot strive with man, and the fact that His mercies endure forever should not overrule the fact that His long-suffering and patience has limits.

When an individual develops a REPROBATE MIND, it leads to ZERO REGARD, DISDAIN and INSENSITIVITY to the things of God.

Such a person may have been vibrant in the house of God, fully committed, having knowledge of the scriptures and possibly a role model to others in the household of Faith, but with passage of time, sin, vices and properties of satan crept in and out of CARELESSNESS, they feel relaxed in sin. Initially, they observe some penance for their wrong deeds and feel they can make up for their sins by being more religious and zealous, doing more service for God.

Suddenly, "IT DOESN'T MATTER" becomes their case. At this stage, they become numb to the pricking and nudge of the conscience and gradually, the voice of the conscience dies, leading them into
developing a debased, foolish, corrupted, and depraved mind.

The reason behind this is TOLERANCE FOR SIN. When as a child of God, you feel comfortable to commit sin and cover it up in HYPOCRISY and PRETENCE, that is a time bomb ticking, the person has positioned him/herself in a SELF-DESTRUCT MODE.

When you notice any sin in your life, don't take it lightly; repent and forsake them, cry out, scream and run to the cross for cleansing.

KILL THAT SIN BEFORE IT KILLS YOU!

It could be a habit or addiction like pornography, masturbation, lusting or some nasty manifestations of the flesh. You can't call yourself a child of God and harbor these in your life.

GOD DEMANDS ZERO TOLERANCE FOR SIN AND SINNERS FROM ANYONE WHO IDENTIFIES WITH HIM.

Zero Tolerance for sin will save you from degenerating or falling into REPROBACY; this should be your life-long goal.

ZERO TOLERANCE FOR SIN AND SINNERS WILL HELP YOU TO LIVE AN IMPECCABLE CHRISTIAN LIFE AND REPRESENT GOD AS YOU SOJOURN IN THIS WORLD.

YOUR MISSION IN THIS WORLD IS TO SAVE SINNERS FROM THE IMPENDING DANGER OF ETERNAL DAMNATION, AND NOT TO JOIN THEM.

UNITED IN LABOUR (DAY 82 OF 365)

UNITED IN LABOUR
(Nuggets from 1 Corinthians 3:8)

Apostle Paul here used an agricultural analogy to show that the success of a farming venture does not lie in the hands of just one person.

Even before the planting proper, the farm land needs to be cleared, the grasses need to be burnt, and ridges need to be made. There is DIVISION OF LABOUR for maximum efficiency, ease of work and ultimate productivity.

If the farmer decides to do all these tasks on his own without involving anyone else, he will definitely get weary, worn out and possibly break down to the point that he wouldn't be able to embark on the cultivation proper.

In this analogy by Apostle Paul, the PLANTER and the WATERER are one in that they are both working for the same cause. However, he added that “EVERY MAN shall receive his own REWARD (from God, not from man), according to his labour.”
There is an INDIVIDUALITY as well as a UNITY in the work of the MINISTRY. This is, however, not a thing to be noticed by men, but it will be recognised by the CHIEF HUSBANDMAN who owns the vineyard - GOD HIMSELF.

As workers and ministers in God's vineyard, we should see only ourselves as instruments used by God, don't put yourself into the place of God. He that planteth and he that watereth are one, employed by one Master, trusted with the same work, and engaged in one design. We have our different gifts from one and the same Spirit, for the very same purposes; and should carry on the same design heartily. Those who are most faithful shall have the greatest reward.

As you prioritize God's work in the SALVATION of PRECIOUS SOULS, God who knows and sees the work you are doing will take care of you and ensure that you do not labour in vain.

The HARVEST is PLENTEOUS but the LABOURERS are FEW.

Are you among the few labourers?

GOD WILL NOT FORGET YOUR LABOR OF LOVE, AND HE WILL REWARD YOU HERE ON EARTH AND ALSO IN ETERNITY TO COME.

THE FINAL REWARD (DAY 81 OF 365)

THE FINAL REWARD
(Nuggets from 2 John 1:8)

Starting something new is always exciting, even though you may initially have fears. Every idea for a new project, venture, or journey breeds deep excitement in the soul. In life we all love to start, we all look forward to the beginning of something new because it always sounds and feels magical in our minds. We get a feeling of euphoria which we hope will never disappear. Starting is infused with positives only, and our thoughts may roam the expanse of possibilities, and the results always end well in our minds. Starting is terrific, but there is something more powerful than STARTING; It is FINISHING.

The apostle Paul loved using metaphors to describe the Christian life. Among his favorites were a soldier, a boxer, and a runner. His use of each would be specific to a point in the making, but they each carried with them a common theme: COMMITMENT. The soldier must be committed to the battle, the boxer to their training, and the athlete to preparations for the race. There is one way, however, that a runner is different: “Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”(Hebrews 12:1).

While the boxer and soldier may have weight training included in their preparations, the runner does not. Extra weight slows a runner, and the same is true for the spiritual application in Hebrews 12:1. Running a race with the weight of sin saps our endurance. The race that was once a joy becomes a burden when we become ensnared by other things.

In 1 Corinthians 9:24, the apostle Paul wrote, “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it”.

To win the final reward, do not burden yourself with the weight of sins.

As we near the end of the race, the enemy will put many hurdles and obstacles in our way, and running through or jumping over them requires that we lay aside the things that hinder our ability to run.

We have all seen long‑distance sprinters who save an extra kick for the end of the race, and we are at that stage in ours. So, it's time to lay aside the endurance‑robbing distractions of this life and run strong as we near the finish line to win the FINAL REWARD -  an IMPERISHABLE CROWN that awaits us.
