JESUS, THE SOURCE OF ETERNAL LIFE (DAY 80 OF 365)

JESUS, THE SOURCE OF ETERNAL LIFE
(Nuggets from 1 John 5:12)

 THE HUMAN SOUL NEVER DIES.

It exists both in the INTERIM and also in ETERNITY. There are two destinations in ETERNITY:
- Heaven
- Hell Fire

Every individual who has reached the age of accountability is responsible for his/her final destination in eternity, because what you do with the life you have currently determines where you will be in eternity.

When Jesus told Nicodemus, “You must be born again,” He wasn’t talking about a physical rebirth but a spiritual one. The truth is, without this second birth, you cannot experience the fullness of life God intends for you.

The big question is: HAVE YOU TRULY REPENTED, AND ARE YOU TRULY BORN AGAIN?

The life God gives is ETERNAL because it is rooted in what can never die: His Word. When you become born again, you receive a life that outlasts the grave. This is the foundation of ETERNAL LIFE: you live in the resurrection power every day, having access to ABUNDANT LIFE here on earth.

As you turn away from your old patterns and surrender to His Spirit, this IMPERISHABLE LIFE OF CHRIST grows in you, producing faith, hope, and obedience that reflect His glory.

If you have not received Jesus Christ into your life, you cannot have access to this ETERNAL LIFE; it begins with a bold step to surrender your physical life and entire being to Him. You must be ready to SACRIFICE your life to Him and in return, He will give you ABUNDANT LIFE here on earth and prepare you for ETERNITY WITH GOD.

ETERNAL LIFE IS NOT A ONE-OFF GIFT!

You don't give your life to Christ and proceed to live a CARELESS LIFE. You must GUARD IT JEALOUSLY because ONCE SAVED IS NOT FOREVER SAVED. So, while you breathe, live CAUTIOUSLY because your adversary, the devil has not given up on you and would stop at nothing to see that he hunts you down and makes you an accomplice and a partaker of his eternal doom.

GIVE JESUS A CHANCE INTO YOUR LIFE TODAY, AND GUARD YOUR SALVATION TILL YOU BREATHE YOUR LAST OR TILL HE COMES AGAIN TO TAKE HIS CHURCH.

WALKING IN CHRIST (DAY 79 OF 365)

WALKING IN CHRIST
(Nuggets from Colossians 2:6)

At SALVATION, an erstwhile sinner is rescued from the entanglement of sin, the burden of guilt and gets freed from any CONDEMNATION.

Your new life in Christ is truly a gift from God. He’s saved you from the wages of sin and now He’s given you the blessing of a fresh start!

Just as a young child learns to take their first steps under the watchful, loving and encouraging eyes of their parents, your loving Heavenly Father encourages you to take your first steps of faith and to keep on growing. This can be achieved by WALKING IN CHRIST JESUS.

One of the biggest hindrances to walking in the new life in Christ Jesus is trying to hang on to your old life by walking in the same ways you used to walk. To successfully walk in your new life in Christ, you have to continually choose to put off your old self and put on the new one. God is in the business of transforming lives through the power of His Holy Spirit and as you seek Him, He will help you every step of the way. Together you will create new habits to walk more effectively in Him.

He brings newness, and having cleansed the individual, they're qualified to be called children of God. This happens when one says, 'Lord, I believe you, come be my Lord and Savior. I reject sin and its grip.'

After cleansing, reconciliation, and restoration, note that your journey is just beginning. Now, you have to yield to walking in RIGHTEOUSNESS with Him, yearning for SANCTIFICATION, living by His Word daily, choosing His will over yours, and living to please Him.

The moment you decide to WALK IN JESUS, EXPECT PERSECUTIONS.
Having chosen this path, you must make up your mind to follow through and never relent or throw in the towel along the line.

If you want to truly walk in Christ then you need to be a person of God’s Word by abiding in and studying it for yourself. As you regularly study, you will grow in the wisdom and knowledge of Him and He’ll help you navigate life along the way!

Allow the WORD OF GOD to permeate your life knowing He will faithfully transform and renew you through the process.

One acronym for the B.I.B.L.E. is:

Basic
Instructions
Before
Leaving
Earth

To WALK IN JESUS CHRIST successfully, it is imperative to ABIDE IN HIS WORD, do not joke with the BIBLE, not reading it like literature, but studying it to get insight and revelation knowledge from God.

The WORD OF GOD is the most vital key to your discipleship, life, and successful walk in Him. You cannot grow in your walk with Christ without the instructions found in God’s Word!

In addition, you need to WALK BY FAITH, be DEEPLY ROOTED in Christ, be a GOOD SHEEP who is ever-ready to listen to the voice of the GOOD SHEPHERD, and FOLLOW HIS LEAD, RELY on the Holy Spirit to guide you as you navigate through every obstacle, commit yourself to regular prayer and devotion to God, and most importantly, REMAIN IN THE FOLD of God's children as an integral part of the Body of Christ.

IF YOU TAKE THESE STEPS, YOUR WALK WITH CHRIST WILL LEAD YOU INTO A BLISSFUL ETERNITY WITH HIM AT THE END OF YOUR PILGRIMAGE HERE ON EARTH.

THE POTENCY OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS (DAY 78 OF 365)

THE POTENCY OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS
(Nuggets from Hebrews 9:22)

A blood sacrifice resonates profoundly because it is tied to life. The higher the being/life, the more impactful the sacrifice becomes. Before Christ, sacrifices were made to atone for sacrileges/sins.

These sacrifices involved goats, rams, heifers for special situations, oxen, and similar offerings. They served as the blood for atonement back then; their purpose was to cover the sins temporarily. In that era, every sin demanded a sacrifice. Though the sacrifices spoke on their behalf, they could not lead to remission of their sins.

Now, a purer, costlier, and faultless blood was needed. Jesus' blood. His death, bloodshed, and burden bearing occurred once. This blood made us whole, removing the world's sins, carrying its sorrows, and lifting every burden. Till today, Jesus' blood is the ONLY blood that washes, cleanses, and grants absolute remission of sins.

Hence, any other sacrifice aimed at cleansing or purification is unacceptable. Christ Jesus has paid the price, making other sacrifices null and void.

Without shedding of the SPOTLESS BLOOD OF JESUS, there would be NO REMISSION OF SINS.

THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL PROSPER (DAY 77 OF 365)

THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL PROSPER
(Nuggets from Isaiah 3:10)

What do the words righteous and rich have in common?

As we dig into scripture we come across a passage in the book of Psalms that gives us some powerful insight into the life of the righteous. Let’s take a look at some verses in Psalm 112:

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments! His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever; For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries. He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor.

This poetic passage of scripture gives us several key characteristics of a person whose life is marked by RIGHTEOUSNESS. The word righteousness means, “to be upright, in right standing with God and in the eyes of God.” These verses reveal how RIGHTEOUSNESS opens the door for BLESSINGS, legacy, peace of heart, victory in adversity, and riches.

This is where the world gets it wrong, and as children of God we need to get it right. We should understand that our lifestyle of riches should first be stamped or marked by our righteousness. Riches without righteousness will lead to sinful behavior because there will be an aim to please self rather than God.

Now take a closer look at verse three, which says, “Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.”

Here is where we see these words wonderfully woven together in the form of both provision and a promise. However, righteousness remains the greater reward, not riches. God wants us to know that the two can exist together, but they must remain in their proper order, an order He ordained where He will remain the Lord of our hearts.

PROSPERITY OF THE RIGHTEOUS IS SACROSANCT.

Though trials come their way, the assurance is that THEY WILL PROSPER, EXCEL AND SCALE THROUGH UNHURT.

SALVATION is the chiefest of all BLESSINGS that the righteous receives from God, and this is what paves the way for other BLESSINGS:
PROSPERITY, RICHES, HEALTH, WEALTH, PROVISION, PROTECTION, HEALING, DELIVERANCE, and many more.

THE BLESSINGS OF THE RIGHTEOUS ARE INEXHAUSTIBLE but the greatest of them all is ETERNITY WITH GOD AT LAST.

So, seek first the Kingdom of God and His RIGHTEOUSNESS, and all these BLESSINGS will be yours now and in eternity.

DO NOT AIM FOR THE EARTHLY BLESSINGS; FOCUS ON LIVING A RIGHTEOUS LIFE, AND THEY WILL NATURALLY COME.

CERTIFIED AS A CHILD OF GOD (DAY 76 OF 365)

CERTIFIED AS A CHILD OF GOD
(Nuggets from Galatians 3:26)

All through Scripture, one truth stands out with quiet consistency: the Father has always loved us; not loudly, not desperately, not conditionally, But INTENTIONALLY.

From Genesis to Revelation, God keeps finding ways to reveal His heart toward man. Sometimes through COVENANT, sometimes through MERCY, sometimes through PATIENCE, and ultimately, through Jesus Christ, His only begotten son.

Jesus did not come as a backup plan, He came as the express image of God, the clearest picture of what the Father has always felt about us. God wrapped His love in flesh so that man could finally understand that His love is not distant, abstract, or unreachable. He wanted us to see it, touch it, and experience it.

God’s love for you is not the reward for good behavior, it is not the result of spiritual discipline, sacrifice, or consistency.

The Scripture is very clear: “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Not when we had repented perfectly, not when we had learned how to pray properly, not when we finally “got it right.” While we were still broken, still confused, still far, He loved us.

Being His child is enough.
You do not have to compete for His attention.
You do not have to earn His affection.
You do not have to prove that you are worth keeping.

The moment you begin to measure God’s love by the standard of human love, you will misunderstand it. Earthly fathers, even the most loving ones, are limited by wounds, emotions, expectations, and imperfections. They may love, but they can also withdraw. They may care, but they can also fail.

God is not a man, yes He has EMOTIONS but He is not moody; He is not inconsistent, He is not trying to figure you out, He is perfect in all His ways, and His love flows from who He is, not from what you do.

One of the clearest pictures of this love is seen in the parable of the prodigal son. When the son left, squandered his inheritance, and lost everything, the father was not rehearsing punishment; He was not waiting with folded arms and a list of offenses. The scripture says that while the son was still far off, the father saw him, was moved with compassion, and ran to meet him. Before the boy could finish his apology, a robe was placed on him, a ring was given, and a feast was prepared.

THAT IS THE FATHER'S HEART!

Have you ever thought of what it means to be CERTIFIED AS A CHILD OF GOD?

Man underrates the love of God so much and takes it for granted, this is why many don't value the precious sacrifice He made on the behalf of a sinful race.

God’s love does not change when you fail; His posture toward you does not shift when you fall short.
He hates sin because it harms you, but He has never stopped loving you.

You can only take advantage of this offer and get CERTIFIED AS A CHILD OF GOD by your FAITH in CHRIST JESUS. If you believe that Jesus is the only son of God who died for the remission of your sins, you get INSTANT ACCESS.

God is not angry with you; He is not tired of you; He is not waiting for you to clean yourself up before He welcomes you. His love is secure, steady, and unchanging.

Today, I challenge you to reaffirm your love for God, not from fear, not from guilt, not from obligation, but from ASSURANCE. Let your love be a response, not a performance. Let it flow from the confidence that you are already accepted and CERTIFIED AS HIS OWN CHILD!

RECEIVING AND BELIEVING JESUS (DAY 75 OF 365)

RECEIVING AND BELIEVING JESUS
(Nuggets from John 1:12)

2nd Corinthians 5:17 tells us that “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Your identity completely changes in Christ. You aren’t who you used to be anymore; you become an entirely NEW CREATION! Your old self has been crucified with Christ, nailed to the cross, and done away with. Now, you literally identify with Christ, as a child of God.

Not everyone is wise enough to receive Jesus Christ into their lives.
God. The devil has blindfolded multitudes, deceiving them to believe that there are better alternatives other than Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ our Lord told us in the scriptures that HE IS THE WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE, and that NO ONE CAN COME TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM.

God created us all but not all are identified as SONS OF GOD.
God alone has the exclusive right to induct anyone into SONSHIP, and the only ones He will give the POWER TO BECOME SONS are those who have RECEIVED JESUS into their lives, and BELIEVE IN THE NAME OF JESUS, the very name that is ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME.

IT TAKES FAITH TO RECEIVE AND BELIEVE IN JESUS.

This is a clarion call to everyone out there who is still halting between two opinions to make haste and choose Jesus today.

TRUE FOLLOWERS WANTED (DAY 74 OF 365)

TRUE FOLLOWERS WANTED
(Nuggets from Ephesians 5:1)

To follow Jesus, you have to know Him. Acknowledge that you have sinned and derailed, and by Faith , believe that Jesus took the punishment for your sins upon Himself.

Next, confess and believe that Jesus is Lord. This means Jesus now has the permission to control and order your life according to His divine purpose and will. When you declare that Jesus is Lord, you’re putting yourself under His authority. You’re giving up on doing what you think is right and instead committing to doing what Jesus says is right. You’re putting your trust in Him and acknowledging that His way of living is better.

Following Jesus is an invitation to a life of transformation and total surrender. Jesus is calling you today to deny yourself, which means putting your personal desires and wants second to God's will. Taking up the cross is a symbol of sacrifice and commitment. Jesus carried His cross to Calvary, and by asking you to TAKE UP YOUR CROSS, He calls you to gear up and FACE all CHALLENGES and SUFFERINGS with FAITH and PERSEVERANCE.

FOLLOWING JESUS is not just a momentary decision but a DAILY COMMITMENT to living according to His teachings. This involves loving others, forgiving those who wrong you, serving others with humility, and seeking justice and peace. It's a journey of spiritual growth where you learn to trust God more, rely on His grace, and let the Holy Spirit guide you.

FOLLOWING JESUS TRULY
launches you into a continuous process of SANCTIFICATION, as you'd always seek to become more like Jesus each day.

Following Jesus makes you draw near to God. Drawing near to God is an invitation to a deep and intimate relationship with the creator. God desires to be close to you as an individual, and when you take the first step towards Him, He approaches you with love and grace.

Just like every child would naturally love to be close to his or her parents, it is your duty as a CHILD OF GOD to seek absolute intimacy with God. You can achieve this through PRAYER and PERSONAL BIBLE STUDY.

Through prayer, you converse with God, express your needs, and listen to His voice, and studying the Bible reveals who God is and guides you on how to live according to His will.

Another way to draw near to God is through PRAISE and WORSHIP. When you praise God, your mind and heart are lifted, and you connect with His presence easily.

OBEDIENCE to God's Word and PRACTICING His COMMANDMENTS will bring you closer to Him and make you dwell in His presence.

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A MUST (DAY 73 OF 365)

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A MUST
(Nuggets from 1 John 3:10)

RIGHTEOUSNESS is one of the attributes of God, and as His child, you are expected to be like Him.
Every child has characteristic traits of their parents, and in like manner, every child of God should have the characteristic traits of God evident in their lives.

RIGHTEOUSNESS DEMANDS EXCELLENCE AND ABHORS MEDIOCRITY.

RIGHTEOUSNESS is not MORALITY, it is all about SPIRITUAL OBEDIENCE. It does not glorify God when we IGNORE His commands and settle for REBELLION.

When you feel you should do the right thing, and you do it because the right thing is what would meet God’s standard, that is called RIGHTEOUSNESS.

When you decide to live a FAIR, HONEST, and PURE life and  standard because it will glorify God, that’s called RIGHTEOUSNESS.

When you change your NEGATIVE ATTITUDE or approach towards something or someone because you desire a CLEAN HEART, that’s called RIGHTEOUSNESS.

When you submit and suspend your own SELFISH DESIRES while you could have held onto being ARROGANT and STUBBORN, that’s called RIGHTEOUSNESS.

If RIGHTEOUSNESS means OBEYING GOD, LETTING GO of a FALSE STANDARD, RELINQUISHING YOUR PAST, ADMITTING when you're WRONG, and in exchange, you get to walk forward in FREEDOM, DELIVERANCE, and PROSPERITY, then RIGHTEOUSNESS must be what is best for you.

RIGHTEOUSNESS is a PROOF that you are truly a CHILD OF GOD, just the same way whosoever commits SIN is of the DEVIL.

RIGHTEOUSNESS is not GENUINE without LOVE. It is ironic to see "CHRISTIANS" claiming to be RIGHTEOUS when there is no TRUE LOVE for one another.

Love the Lord, Love His commandments, Obey them, Love your neighbours, Love your offenders, just the same way Christ loved the sinful world and gave His life for all even though we didn't deserve it.

IF YOU MUST SEE GOD AT THE END OF THIS LIFE AND BE WITH HIM FOR THE REST OF ETERNITY, RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A MUST.

NOAH, THE PERFECT MAN (DAY 72 OF 365)

NOAH, THE PERFECT MAN
(Nuggets from Genesis 6:9)

Noah was a JUST AND PERFECT MAN in his generation. At a time when there was NO PREACHER, NO PASTOR or PRIEST, he chose to be a RADICAL EVANGELIST, despite the ridicule, he kept on building the ark.

In a world that’s loud with conflict and contradiction, figuring out how to reflect the heart of God can feel anything but simple.

The story of Noah teaches us how to live the life we were created for. Noah was called “RIGHTEOUS,” and PERFECT; this was because NOAH was FAITHFUL and LOYAL to God, in spite of the fact that he wasn't seeing God and had no knowledge of when the flood would happen.

NOAH TRUSTED GOD BLINDLY!

In a world where every other heart had turned to evil, Noah stood out. His heart was turned towards God. He worshiped God, He walked with God, He followed God, He obeyed God, He believed God.

That’s what made him different.

The rest of humanity?
Scripture says every intention of their hearts was evil; and evil, at its root, is the rejection of what God calls good. They were already making their own flood; one not of water, but of blood. Violence, the legacy of Cain, had become the order of the day.

It broke God’s heart. He could not watch His good creation destroy the world and themselves without consequences.

The way we’re meant to live isn’t just about checking moral boxes or making good decisions. On our own, we might manage moments of behavioral goodness. But to truly lean into God’s perfect intent for humanity? That takes surrender. Daily, Actively, and Intentionally.

Noah practiced this.

We do this by soaking in His Word, spending time in prayer, being with others who are chasing after His heart, reaching out to those who don’t, and constantly choosing His way over our own.

In this generation marked by doubt and destruction, may we be found FAITHFUL; may we be called RIGHTEOUS, and LIVE the way God expects us to.

JOB, THE UPRIGHT MAN (DAY 71 OF 365)

JOB, THE UPRIGHT MAN
(Nuggets from Job 1:8)

God said to Satan, “Have you seen my servant Job? He is a righteous (perfect and upright) man, he loves (fears) me and rejects (eschews) evil.”

God emphatically stated that there was no one like Job in the earth. This was not vague or false, IT WAS A STATEMENT OF FACT.

If you strive to put God first in your life, God will surely put a hedge of protection around you.

That doesn’t mean your life will be safe and comfortable all the way through. There will be trials and hurdles along the way, but God will make them stepping stones to take you to greater heights.

Hundreds of years after Job, King David seconds those ideas in Psalm 125.

David says that God is your fortress and your protection. So, when you don’t feel like God is surrounding you like the mountains surround Jerusalem, you won’t be the first person to ever feel that way; remember He is always with you.

Rather than wandering away from God’s protection and taking stuff on your own shoulders, you can ask God what He’s doing in and through you, and how you can become a part of what He’s doing in the situation.

One striking thing that kept Job going was his UNFLINCHING CONFIDENCE, UNWAVERING FAITH and UNPARALLELED RESILIENCE.

Job didn't allow the circumstances that bedeviled him to lead him into compromise; he eschewed evil before his dilemma and when he was at the peak of his trauma, he still eschewed evil regardless.

BE CHALLENGED BY THE LIFE AND STORY OF JOB AND NEVER FAIL ANY TEST GOD PRESENTS TO YOU.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SOUL (DAY 70 OF 365)

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SOUL
(Nuggets from Ezekiel 14:20)

Noah was a notable hero of Faith who existed in a generation where the people scorned him and spurned the warnings he gave them about the impending doom that would soon befall them - THE FLOOD. Noah warned, but they failed to Hearken, and unfortunately, they had to pay with their lives as they all got wiped away for their stubbornness. Noah did the Lord's work regardless, and even though the flood destroyed all the adamant, he was saved and his household were also saved not because he forced them to enter the ark, but becsuse they made their individual choices.

Had Noah's wife and sons (Shem, Ham and Japheth) with their wives made a wrong choice, they would have missed entering the ark and risked destruction in the deluge.

Daniel was a eunuch, he was taken into captivity and wasn't bothered about the fact that he would never have a family of his own, no wife or children. He didn't let these unsavoury conditions affect his devotion and commitment to God.
Daniel did the Lord's work, prayed unapologetically, trained the three Hebrew boys who were also in exile with him and they stood out in their generation.

They never allowed their servitude in the Babylonian empire to make them abandon the God of their Father. Daniel was thrown into a lion's den for his refusal to pray when the king passed the decree, and God came to his rescue, HE CAME OUT UNHURT.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow to the image of the Babylonian King and they were thrown into a fiery furnace, but the execution was aborted as the FOURTH MAN stepped into the fire and delivered them.

Job was a just man in His generation and when God boasted about him, it was personalized; God didn't boast about Job's wife or children. Job was buffeted but he did not allow the trials make him give up on God.

HEAVENLY RACE IS A PERSONAL RACE!

Your soul has an inestimable value, and that was why God sent His one and only begotten son, Jesus to come and die for humanity.

Jesus has died once and for all, it is now left for you and I to run our race and finish well. Salvation is personal and there are no proxies. No one can die for you, Jesus has done that already.

This is the reason Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippian church to WORK OUT THEIR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.

Your SALVATION is your RESPONSIBILITY.

Live your life with this consciousness that your ETERNAL SALVATION lies right in your hands; others have run this race and completed it successfully, you too can do this.

THE PATIENCE OF JOB (DAY 69 OF 365)

THE PATIENCE OF JOB
(Nuggets from James 5:11)

The story of Job is that of an innocent, moral, and upright man who had a large family and a massive wealth (Job 1:2-3). Job was careful not only to obey God, but also continually sacrifice for the potential sins of his children (Job 1:5).

Then there came a heavenly council meeting and satan, the Accuser was present. God praised Job’s INNOCENCE and INTEGRITY, but the satan alleged that Job was being moral only because he was after God’s rewards (Job 1:10)

The further accused God of mismanaging His universe; He believes God’s policy of rewarding good behavior means that Job’s morality is purely TRANSACTIONAL, implying that the only reason Job obeyed God was just to get God’s Favour. (Job 1:9-10)

So God allowed satan to take away everything good Job had been given, his children, his assets, all gone in one day, with his health dilapidated so badly, but despite the Accuser’s predictions, Job refuses to curse God. Instead, Job blesses Him and recognizes that integrity and innocence don’t always guarantee blessing.

The fact that Job understood God can both give and take away didn't diminish the painfulness of his suffering or make him feel any better. Job wailed and wished he had never been born, showing that he was human like you and I.

Whenever the innocent suffer, there are always people who offer quick explanations. They say things like “he/s deserves it” and “it serves him/her right.”

It wasn't Job's fault that God decided to boast with him. Even though Job had no idea that his trials were just a test that God was permitted to prove a point to satan, he never disappointed God, and God in return REWARDED HIS PATIENCE and showed him mercy, not in terms of PITY but as a matter of REWARD for his faithfulness.

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE AND A FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT; IT IS WHAT KEEPS YOU CALM IN THE WAITING PERIOD AND PREPARES YOU FOR GOD'S BEST.

THE FAITH OF ABEL (DAY 68 OF 365)

THE FAITH OF ABEL
(Nuggets from Hebrews 11:4)

In Genesis 4, we see that Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain, who became a farmer, and Abel, who became a shepherd. Both brought gifts to God from their work. Cain brought produce, but Abel brought “fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock.” When Cain saw that God liked Abel’s offering but not his, he got incredibly upset with Abel. God warned him, but instead of listening to God, Cain killed Abel! God punished Cain for murdering his brother by kicking him out of his family and giving him hard labor; making him a vagabond and wanderer.

Sometimes, when we follow God, we end up following rules instead of doing what pleases God. We are careful not to say bad words or smoke, and we are careful to attend church every week, but sometimes, we do it because we care about what other Christians think of us. Jesus said that it shows we do not believe, if we accept praise from each other but do not seek to please God (John 5:44).

God asks us in Mark 12:30 to love Him with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our strength (also Deuteronomy 6:5, Luke 10:27).

It was through FAITH that Abel gave God a WORTHY and BEFITTING sacrifice and also gave Him his heart because he loved God so much; he gave God the best of everything he had.

Do not give anything so you get something in return.

Abel was the first martyr, and He died for the sake of RIGHTEOUSNESS, he died because he pleased the Lord, and God counted it as RIGHTEOUSNESS for him. The sacrifice of Abel rose as a monument unto God and still speaks till date.

The blood of Abel speaks VENGEANCE but the Blood of Jesus speaks MERCY. However, the BLOOD OF ABEL still speaks and testifies of the place of RIGHTEOUS WORSHIP, REVERENCE, AND SACRIFICE to God.

Abel is no more, but we are still challenged by his life and legacy, and we are urged to follow suit and offer not just tangible sacrifices but most importantly, offer our lives to God unreservedly like Abel.

THE NATION THAT FEARS THE LORD (DAY 67 OF 365)

THE NATION THAT FEARS THE LORD
(Nuggets from Acts 10:35)

The fear of the Lord is not a popular message in today’s culture, but it is a foundational truth that determines the trajectory of a genuine believer’s life. Too often, we associate fear with dread, punishment, and anxiety. Yet in Scripture, the fear of the Lord is a reverential awe that draws us near to Him, rather than pushes us away. It is the moral compass by which WISDOM operates.

Biblical fear encompasses REVERENCE, MORALITY, and a HOLY DREAD that acknowledges God's greatness.

True fear of the Lord is not about being scared of God but about HONORING HIM as the SOVEREIGN JUDGE and CREATOR who holds our lives in His hands.

WHEN THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS ABSENT, LAWLESSNESS INCREASES.

A NATION THAT FAILS TO FEAR THE LORD IS A LAWLESS AND FAILED NATION; nothing works in such a nation because the foundation is already compromised.

Every nation, kingdom, tribe, across the world needs Jesus; the whole world needs Jesus. If only the whole world knew Jesus, it would have been blissful down here.

The nation that fears the Lord is ACCEPTED by Him, but any nation or individual who refuses to fear the Lord will be REJECTED by the Lord.

As seen in 2 Thessalonians, the spirit of lawlessness is already at work, preparing the way for the man of lawlessness. But what restrains Him is the presence of the Holy Spirit within the Church.

The fear of the Lord equips us to be that restraining force, resisting evil through RIGHTEOUS LIVING and GODLY DECISIONS.

Wisdom is not measured by degrees or accolades; It is evidenced by one’s ability to choose God’s way over the way of the world. A wise person doesn’t just avoid sin because of fear of punishment but avoids it because they understand the lasting consequences. The fear of the Lord cultivates foresight, discernment, and the ability to see beyond temporary gratification.

LAWLESSNESS arises when people reject the moral boundaries God has set. When we choose our 'own way' and disregard God’s instruction, we forfeit wisdom and open doors to destruction. A reverent fear keeps us aligned with God's heart and restrains the schemes of the enemy from operating unchecked in our homes and communities.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning, not the end. It sets the stage for everything else; knowledge, wisdom, instruction, and discipline flow from it.

Without this FOUNDATIONAL FEAR, all our learning and striving amount to nothing of eternal value. It's time to return to a posture of HOLY FEAR; one that bows before God in awe, trust, and obedience.

Wisdom, then, is not simply knowing what is right, but choosing what is right because we honor God.

This kind of fear will ul timately produce decisions that preserve your unborn generations, reshape your destiny, and align you with the will of God.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS ARE FOR EDIFICATION (DAY 66 OF 365)

SPIRITUAL GIFTS ARE FOR EDIFICATION
(Nuggets from 1 Corinthians 14:12)

God formed you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), intentionally and with a purpose. Part of His DIVINE PURPOSE for you is the SPIRITUAL GIFTS and TALENTS that He has bestowed you with in order to glorify Himself and bless others.

You don’t need to wait for a burning bush to learn how God has spiritually gifted you; prayerfully discover the gifts God has blessed you with, and vow never to allow your TALENT remain LATENT.

A LATENT TALENT IS A WASTE OF TIME IN THIS WORLD.

A SPIRITUAL GIFT is a SPECIAL and SUPERNATURAL ability that God gives to each of His children, so that together they can advance Kingdom purposes here on earth.

The nature of a GIFT is to give it away. SPIRITUAL GIFTS are no different. You receive SPIRITUAL GIFTS in order to share them with others. The Bible says that spiritual gifts are given to us by the Spirit for the purpose of building others up and strengthening their faith.

The reason God gives you a SPIRITUAL GIFT is to give it away, not hoard it. This doesn’t mean that you won’t benefit from them, you will. But spiritual gifts are for the benefit of those whom God places in your paths in the course of your lifetime, and He equally positions others to use their gifts to EDIFY you.

EDIFICATION OF THE CHURCH is essential because it BUILDS the body of Christ, INSTRUCTS and IMPROVES the mind in KNOWLEDGE OF GOD and keeps it SPIRITUALLY HEALTHY.

DISCOVER YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS, HARNESS THEM, AND USE THEM TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE EDIFICATION OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.

DISCIPLINE THE CHILDREN (DAY 65 OF 365)

DISCIPLINE THE CHILDREN
(Nuggets from Proverbs 19:18)

The place of DISCIPLINE in raising children cannot be overemphasized.
Any parent or guardian who fails to train up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord will end up regretting it for the rest of their lives.

A CHILD RAISED WITHOUT DISCIPLINE WILL END UP AS A NUISANCE TO THE SOCIETY.

The WORLD may call it HARSH;
CULTURE may call it OUTDATED;
But God still calls it THE ANCIENT LAND MARK.

Discipline is not about control, It's about correction; it's about training your child in RIGHTEOUSNESS when the world is unapologetically indoctrinating them into REBELLION.

Discipline is not punishment fueled by frustration. It is protection fueled by love.

When you discipline, you are not just managing behavior, you are shaping destiny, you are teaching your child that there are boundaries, that there is order, and that there is a God who requires obedience. Without DISCIPLINE, children grow wild and become a threat to the society.

Hebrews 12:11 tells us, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

Discipline is not always immediate in its results, but it is powerful in its impact. As a parent or guardian, for instance, If your home feels out of order, if rebellion feels like it’s rising, it may be time to stop parenting by emotion and start parenting with SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY.

As an older sibling, discipline from your end should be in form of RESPONSIBLE AND EXEMPLARY LIFESTYLE that your younger ones should emulate, and correcting every error you observe them exhibit. Don't overlook it and say "oh, he's a child or she's a child", scold them as they manifest those vices.

You don’t need to YELL LOUDER; You need to LEAD CLEARER, SHOW THEM THE WAY!

Listen to what God said concerning Abraham,

"For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him."  - Gen.18:19

There was a special way Abraham brought up his children that God was so sure that even after Abraham might have long left the scene, his children, and I add, children's children... will still continue in it. Prov. 22:6 becomes clearer in this light.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it - Prov. 22:6

IT IS YOUR DUTY AS A PARENT/GUARDIAN, OLDER SIBLING, UNCLE OR AUNT TO ENGRAVE GOODLY AND GODLY VALUES IN YOUR CHILDREN, NEPHEWS AND NIECES THAT WILL BE INDELIBLE IN THEM.

ENDURING THE TRIALS OF THIS WORLD (DAY 64 OF 365)

ENDURING THE TRIALS OF THIS WORLD
(Nuggets from Hebrews 12:11)

To be very honest, TRIALS are no fun. They are threatening, frustrating, depressing, and they seem to pave the way for anxiety that ends up destabilizing your heart. They can even make you question things that you once believed.

TRIALS can make you ask such questions as:
Is God good?
Does God still love me?
Does God truly have a specific plan for me?
Does God really care about me?

Of course, He does!
God is GOOD, God still LOVES you, God has a SPECIFIC PLAN for you, and God really cares about you as a person.

The problem is that most believers are only focused on what God has to offer them but pay little or no attention to the things they are willing to offer and go through for the sake of Christ.

Going through discipline, hard times, and trials of life as a child of God is not easy, and it doesn't mean that God has abandoned you; it is God simply training you and passing you through the fire to refine you and bring out the BEST in you.

Regardless of whatever situations may come your way, you should learn to be COMMITTED TO YOUR FAITH and God will help you scale through every mountain that stands in your way.

Never let your commitment to God to be dictated by your circumstances. God never promises that we will live a trial-free life, but He does promise to be with you and never forsake you, even through the trials.

God has INCREDIBLE PLANS for you. Your trials are part of the path that leads to God’s promises, and if you must be used by God in incredible ways, He must see that you are committed even on the bad days.

Not every trial sends God's children to rock bottom, but sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom for Jesus to show you HE IS THE ROCK at the bottom.

He wants to prove to you that He is the CORNERSTONE, and FIRM FOUNDATION of your life.

GOD IS USING THE GRIEF OF TODAY TO PREPARE YOU FOR THE GLORY OF TOMORROW.

If you go through the CROSS, you are QUALIFIED for the CROWN.

The TRIALS OF THIS WORLD will strengthen you and afterwards, yield ETERNAL DIVIDENDS if you go through it without MURMURING.

FOCUS ON LEARNING THE LESSONS THAT COME WITH TRIALS, AND IN NO TIME, YOU WILL SCALE THROUGH.

OCCUPYING TILL JESUS COMES (DAY 63 OF 365)

OCCUPYING TILL JESUS COMES
(Nuggets from Luke 19:13)

In the parable of the Talents, we see that God entrusts us with resources according to our individual abilities. Let's focus on recognizing the level of TRUST God has for you as a person, and your responsibility to manage His given resources wisely.

As a steward, you're called to faithfully manage and grow what God has entrusted you with. Being a good steward means investing wisely and multiplying, just as the servants did in the parable.

Recall that one of the servants who buried what he had was led by FEAR to REMAIN INDOLENT, while the other two servants were led by FAITH to MULTIPLY.

The Master in this parable represents GOD, the one who gives us all we have.

The Servants represent BELIEVERS and their VARYING LEVELS of FAITHFULNESS.

The TALENTS stand for our GOD-GIVEN RESOURCES, GIFTS, and OPPORTUNITIES.

The Master went on a journey and entrusted his property to his servants. Two of the servants invested and doubled the money they were given, while the third servant buried his talent in the ground.

To OCCUPY till Jesus comes, you must be a GOOD STEWARD.
STEWARDSHIP entails taking care  of what you've been given in a responsible manner.

One sure way to take care of the resources, talents, and gifts God has given you is through Investment - growing what you've been entrusted with.

While you OCCUPY and wait for the coming of our Jesus,  ACCOUNTABILITY is what will keep you on your toes as you live with the understanding that you will be held responsible for how you use our resources.

In a world that promotes self-centered gain, the Parable of the Talents pushes back by focusing on investment for Kingdom Growth. What are you doing to expand God's Kingdom?

God has endowed you with lots of talents, resources, and gifts, not for your personal use only, but for general good. He expects you to use them to draw souls to Him.

AN ETERNAL REWARD AWAITS ALL FAITHFUL SERVANTS WHO HARNESS THEIR GOD-GIVEN RESOURCES HERE ON EARTH.

HONEST IN THE SIGHT OF GOD AND MEN (DAY 62 OF 365)

HONEST IN THE SIGHT OF GOD AND MEN
(Nuggets from 2 Corinthians 8:21)

Psalm 139:1-3 tells us that God has searched us and knows us. He knows when we sit down and when we rise, He perceives all our thoughts from afar, He discerns our going out, coming in, and our lying down. He’s familiar with all our ways. He searches the heart and tries the reins.

God knows you. The question is: Do you know Him?

God created you to be in a relationship with Him, He wants you to come to Him and show your true self. He desires that you come as you are and bring to Him your MESS so He can turn your life around for the BEST.

GOD DEMANDS HONESTY FROM YOU, HE WANTS ABSOLUTE SINCERITY IN ALL YOU DO!

God is not interested in DOUBLE AGENTS, HYPOCRITES and PRETENDERS who live a dual life.
Does your SECRET PLACE correspond with your PUBLIC LIFE?

Honesty is one major characteristic feature of a GENUINE BELIEVER. Jesus was HONEST in His lifetime here on earth, and if you must be a true follower of His, you can't afford to live below His standards.

God demands HONESTY in your daily interactions with people, at school, your workplace, your business place, your conversations, your actions, your intentions and everything you do.

HONESTY IS INTEGRITY!

HONESTY IS ACCOUNTABILITY!

HONESTY IS RESPONSIBILITY!

You must be ready to own up and accept your faults, wrong doings and mistakes, not shifting blame like Adam and Eve.

HONESTY IS AN EVIDENCE OF TRUE SALVATION!

Honesty is what will make you say the truth as it is, no matter the cost.
Honesty will help you avoid any form of compromise and  stand your ground, come what may.

HONESTY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS GOD FOR YOUR ETERNAL WELL-BEING AND TOWARDS MEN, TO DRAW THEM TO GOD.

LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD (DAY 61 OF 365)

LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD
(Nuggets from Romans 8:14)

The distinguishing factor that separates you as an individual from every other creature of God on this planet earth is SONSHIP.

In the sight of God, not everyone has a pedigree linking to Him. Billions are walking around in this world without having an ancestry traceable to God, because they have not surrendered to Jesus as their Lord and saviour.

ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE SURRENDERED TO JESUS AND IDENTIFIED WITH HIM AT SALVATION CAN BOAST OF BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, AND THESE ARE THE TRUE SONS OF GOD.

Hearing God speak is a vital component to living a victorious life. We have been designed to hear Him speak. In other words, man has the capacity to hear God and respond accordingly.

The deepest desire of a TRUE BELIEVER is that hearing God would become the most natural way of life for them. Being led by the Spirit of God should be as natural as learning and expressing yourself in your home language.

Every GENUINE BELIEVER on planet earth has a deep desire to know God’s will for their life. The Garden of Eden tells the story of mankind walking in unbroken fellowship with God in perfect union. What a privilege, right!? This beautiful partnership was God’s intention for mankind from the very beginning; having access to His heart and mind 24/7 was the original design for every human being.

The REBELLION and STUBBORNNESS of Adam and Eve changed that for all of us, and ushered in the reality of life without God.

Adam and Eve chose to do life without God. They chose to rely on their own understanding rather than God’s wisdom. The result of choosing a life without God led to pain, shame and guilt not just for them alone, but for the entire human race.

The first coming of Jesus into this world brought hope to mankind as His birth, death, resurrection and ascension linked us up with God once again, adopting us into SONSHIP with God, for all who believe in the sacrifice on Calvary.

At Salvation, God deposits the earnest of His Spirit into a believer, which serves as His seal of ownership or a receipt showing that you have been adopted by Him, making you a SON, not a STRANGER.

Such are those who are LED BY HIS SPIRIT. This means that if the Spirit of God is not resident in you, you cannot be led by Him.

THERE IS NO ASSET OR TREASURE IN THIS WORLD THAT IS AS INVALUABLE AS THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

WHO IS LEADING YOU?
WHAT SPIRIT DWELLS IN YOU?
ARE YOU A SON OR A STRANGER?

Being led by the Spirit of God would save you from danger, mistakes, confusion, sin, temptations, and you are sure to never miss your way because He can never lead you astray.

THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD (DAY 60 OF 365)

THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD
(Nuggets from Isaiah 11:2)

The Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of God manifests in seven ways, signifying PERFECTION IN OPERATION.

These seven attributes of the Holy Spirit have been evident in Jesus as the word of God PERSONIFIED, the second person in the TRINITY, they also rested upon Jesus Christ, the Messiah in His earthly ministry, and they continue to be His attributes till the time He will come back to in His GLORIOUS MILLENNIAL REIGN.

The seven Spirits in this context do not imply that God has seven Spirits;  He has one Spirit with 7 manifestations.

They are as follows:

1. The Spirit of the Lord
2. The Spirit of Wisdom
3. The Spirit of Understanding
4. The Spirit of Counsel
5. The Spirit of Might
6. The Spirit of Knowledge
7. The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord

THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD is the first manifestation which was released upon Jesus on the day of Baptism as a dove descended on Him. That signified an ENDOWMENT and SANCTIFICATION of His mortal body/human nature, to prepare Him for a GLORIOUS ministry on earth.

- THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM is another manifestation of the Spirit of God which is a HEAVENLY kind of wisdom that supercedes HUMAN or DEVILISH Wisdom. This was the kind of WISDOM God Bezaleel, Aholiab, the sons of Issachar, Solomon, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego with, to make them exceptional. This buttresses the FACT that the Holy Spirit is an INTELLIGIBLE BEING.

- THE SPIRIT OF UNDERSTANDING is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit that is responsible for DISCERNMENT.

- THE SPIRIT OF COUNSEL is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit that helps to guide you in your day-to-day activities, helping you in decision-making.

- THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit that gives you STRENGTH to stand firm in the face of opposition and also do exploits for God.

- THE SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE is responsible for REVELATION KNOWLEDGE, such that transcends human knowledge. It is this attribute that helps you to have a DEEPER INSIGHT into God's ways.

- THE SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD is the operation of the Holy Spirit responsible for an Intrinsic reverential fear of God; it genders and empowers you to live a HOLY LIFE.

As these seven-fold operations of the Holy Spirit were manifested in Jesus' life and ministry, so it is with everyone who is filled with the Holy Spirit in this dispensation.

TO FULFILL YOUR MINISTRY AND CALLING AS A BELIEVER, YOU NEED THESE SEVEN-FOLD OPERATIONS ACTIVE IN YOUR LIFE.

HOLINESS WILL HELP YOU RETAIN THE HOLY SPIRIT, BUT SIN WILL MAKE YOU LOSE HIM; ONCE YOU HAVE HIM, BE CAREFUL AND LIVE CAUTIOUSLY.

JESUS WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD (DAY 59 OF 365)

JESUS WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD
(Nuggets from Acts 10:38)

If you read about the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ as captured in the gospel accounts, you’ll discover that He spent a lot of time traveling, preaching, healing, and praying.

Jesus also spent a lot of time accepting invitations from the people He met along the way.
He visited friends like Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, and even promised Zacchaeus a visit to his house.
Jesus also wanted to dine with people who disagreed with Him, going so far as to eat in the homes of Pharisees like Simon (Luke 7).

Jesus didn't find it awkward meeting with PUBLICANS and SINNERS, after all, He didn't come for the RIGHTEOUS, He came for the Lost.

Jesus fed multitudes at several occasions, and for Him, breaking bread was not only about spending time with people He had a lot in common with, He also modeled how true relationship is about crossing boundaries and making time for all, including His enemies.

Jesus knew that a simple act of HOSPITALITY would create the perfect platform for emotional, relational, and spiritual transactions.

God anointed Him for this purpose with the Holy Ghost and Power, as His son, to help Him fulfil His ministry on earth. Jesus knew what He carried within Him; He didn't want to keep it to Himself.

Jesus knew He had a brief ministry and that He would die early, having just 3 ½ years to touch lives, and He maximized the time so well.

He went about doing good, touching lives, transforming individuals, delivering the oppressed and possessed who had been mesmerized by devils, not because He wanted to do some theatrical performance, but because this was His mission and He understood it so well and left no stone unturned.

Jesus fulfilled His ministry on earth, the consummation being the vicarious death on the cross of Calvary; and now He has handed over the baton to you and I.

HOW FAR HAVE YOU GONE WITH THE CALLING AND MINISTRY GOOD PLACED IN YOUR HANDS?

HOW MANY LIVES HAVE YOU TOUCHED?

HOW MANY SOULS HAVE YOU SAVED AND WON FOR THE KINGDOM?

THE TASK IS ENORMOUS AND URGENT, DO ALL YOU CAN TO TOUCH LIVES WHILE YOU ARE STILL HERE; LIKE JESUS, LET YOUR LIFE BE A CHANNEL OF BLESSING TO OTHERS.

TELL OF HIS WONDROUS WORKS (DAY 58 OF 365)

TELL OF HIS WONDROUS WORKS
(Nuggets from Psalm 26:7)

This was the desire of the Psalmist, King David - To publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell others about all the wondrous works of the Lord.

Literally, he meant "that I may cause to be heard;" he couldn't keep it to himself, he saw the need to talk to people about the wonderful works of God upon his life, peradventure some would get to see the awesomeness of God and hallow Him. The idea is, that he would make known to others what he had learned from God; or that He would make known to them the delights of His service, and seek to win them to His worship. This he would do with a thankful remembrance of the favors which he had enjoyed personally, or as an expression of his gratitude for the mercies which had been conferred on him by God.

King David enjoyed the SURE MERCIES OF GOD on several occasions, and this was a way to show gratitude to God for all His GOODNESS, MERCIES, and PARDON he had received from God.

As an expression of his gratitude to God, he would endeavor to win others also to His service. This should be the disposition of any true child of God who has experienced God's mercies.

Can you count the wonderful things God has done in your life?
Think about it, from the time you were still in your mother's womb, till you were birthed, all through infancy, till you attained the age of accountability, up until this point in your life.

The big question is: WHAT HAS GOD NOT DONE FOR YOU?

David was deeply impressed with the greatness of God's works, and he desired to make the divine actions known as far as possible in the world. This is always one of the evidences of true piety.

If God has shown you mercy, be bold to talk about it, let your story inspire others to acknowledge the greatness of God and worship Him.

WHEN THE ENEMY COMES IN LIKE A FLOOD (DAY 57 OF 365)

WHEN THE ENEMY COMES IN LIKE A FLOOD
(Nuggets from Isaiah 59:19)

When the enemy tries to come into your life, choose to let the Lord raise up His Standard.

Standard here is a reinforced embankment, a fortified wall and protective cover. Whenever the enemy rises like a flood to drown who exactly?

God does not lift up His standard of protection against the enemy on behalf of SINNERS OR THE UNGODLY/UNRIGHTEOUS. God has no business with a sinner, He only looks out for those that fear Him.

Living a RIGHTEOUS LIFE qualifies you for God's protection; He will always be there right on time to drive away your enemy hastily.

God knows the end from the beginning and He is ALWAYS AHEAD OF YOUR ADVERSARIES; He knows their plots and will always checkmate them right before they think of making any sinister move to execute their plans.

Floods may come, storms may rise, but God’s Standard will remain your backup.

God is not promising you that you won't see the storms or raging tempest; if they don't arise, how will His supremacy be proven?

God uses the challenges that come our way to prove a point that He is FULLY IN CHARGE, and that HE CALLS THE SHOTS.

DON'T BE LIKE THE FRETTING DISCIPLES WHO LOST SIGHT OF THE MASTER AT THE RAGING TEMPEST; REMAIN CALM AND WATCH THE PRINCE OF PEACE CALM THE STORMS AND SILENCE YOUR ENEMIES.

THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER (DAY 56 OF 365)

THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER

(Nuggets from Luke 24:49)

When Jesus spoke to his disciples the night before He died on the cross, He knew they would be facing dark days. For three and a half years, these men had followed him, believing He was going to save Israel from the oppression of Rome, not fully understanding that He had come to save us all from our sins. His death was going to leave them staggering and in distress, He knew this clearly; So, as He shared a last meal with them, He promised that another comforter would come in His stead.

This COMFORTER is the HOLY SPIRIT.

He would help them, He would stay with them forever, not just for a moment or even a season, but always. Not only would He be with them, He would live inside them.

Prior to this time, the Israelites in the old testament, prophets of old, and a few others in the new testament had felt the impact of the Holy Spirit for a short time. However, Jesus promised them, that this time, it would be different.
The Holy Spirit was coming to dwell with them now PERMANENTLY, no more a temporary deed.

On the day of Pentecost, the promise was fulfilled. The Holy Spirit came down to live in every believer on that day.

After the Pentecost, the Holy Spirit has been baptizing BELIEVERS from all works of life who yearn for His presence and today, once you are born again and SANCTIFIED, you can receive the Holy Ghost Baptism. He is an INTELLIGIBLE BEING, not an object .

IF YOU DESIRE HIS PRESENCE, YOU CAN HAVE IT, BUT HOLINESS IS A PREREQUISITE AND TO RETAIN HIM IN YOUR LIFE, REMAIN HOLY.
