WHAT A PRIVILEGE!
(Nuggets from Galatians 1:4)

Jesus Christ gave Himself up as a sacrifice on the cross of Calvary in order to salvage us from our sins. Jesus died and rose again, showing that sin, death and evil have been defeated already! 

This means your sin and guilt has been taken by Jesus Christ and has been wiped out forever. Jesus died so as to deliver us from the stranglehold that this present world system has over us. It is an evil influence, whether we recognize it or not. It is headed and masterminded by none other than satan himself. 

The enemy doesn’t want you to enjoy the BLISS in Heaven which He has LOST FOREVER. He wants you to be a rebel like him, and put yourself in harms way, to constitute a nuisance in this world by influencing what you do, and controlling the way you live your life, he is happy and satisfied so long as God is not in the picture. 

But to succeed, he must blind you and make you IGNORANT, and keep you constantly ‘under his thumb’. Only Jesus Christ, the Son of God can rescue you from that terrible servitude.

All these happened because it was the Father’s desire and intention. He planned it all. He has sent His Son so that you might be forgiven and that you might be freed from the power and influence of this godless world in which we live. 

What a fabulous thing to be forgiven our sins by God the Father! Jesus became the PROPITIATION for our sins.

When we are joined to Him by FAITH, our sins are covered by the spilling of His blood, so we are no longer judged guilty, and His perfect obedience is counted as our own, so we are now declared righteous.

Without His blood, our UNRIGHTEOUSNESS would remain UNADDRESSED. With His blood, we can stand and boldly say that we are THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST. 

JESUS' BLOOD SHED ON THE CROSS JUSTIFIES US (AS MANY WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT).

Ephesians 1:7 says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses.”

Jesus purchased our TRUE FREEDOM. True freedom is not the ability to do whatever you like with reckless abandon.

TRUE FREEDOM is total deliverance from the shackles of satan, which man willingly yielded to by the disobedience in the Garden of Eden.

Jesus Christ REDEEMED us, bought us back, and secured our FREEDOM, putting an end to our bondage.

Because of our sins, we all were (and many continue to be) in spiritual captivity. The devil had power over us because of our violations of God’s law. But in Christ, by the shedding of his blood, God purchased our freedom from the penalty demanded by justice and from the power of satan.

“Having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands.” 
(Colossians 2:13-14)

We have this GREAT PRIVILEGE because of God the Father, and one thing we can do in return is to LIVE OUR LIVES FOR HIM in appreciation, and vow to NEVER TAKE HIS LOVE AND MERCY FOR GRANTED.

WHERE DO YOU BELONG?
(Nuggets from 1 John 5:19)

Whosoever is born of God DOES NOT COMMIT SIN. This is one major proof of your identity.
If you are born of God, sin will be loathsome to you, because God abhors it. Anyone who commits sin is representing the devil because he is the father of sin and the grand ancestor of all sinners.

"The whole world lies in wickedness.."
What does this expression mean? 
It means that THE WHOLE WORLD IS INUNDATED WITH SIN and anyone who identifies with sin is a rebel and a representative of the devil.

Since man caused his own crash by his rebellion against God, God could have allowed him to plunge on in darkness and destruction by virtue of His HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS. However, this other great attribute of God, His LOVE, would not allow Him to DESTROY MANKIND for their sins at the very moment they fell in the Garden. God had a plan for man’s DELIVERANCE, REDEMPTION and RECONCILIATION - to SACRIFICE His only begotten son so that anyone who believes in Him would not PERISH, but have ETERNAL LIFE. 

ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE RECEIVED JESUS AND BELIEVED IN HIM UNTO SALVATION ARE TRULY OF GOD.

They are not party to INIQUITY and WICKEDNESS in this world. Disobeying God and living a life of rebellion is sheer WICKEDNESS and INGRATITUDE because it simply means you don't rate God or place any value on the DEATH OF JESUS on the cross.

There are two camps in this world:
1). The camp of the Children of the Kingdom.
2). The camp of satan

The former are pilgrims who know their worth and are always relying on God's grace to sustain them and keep them from free and unscathed from all evil going on in this world today. They have GOD'S SEAL OF OWNERSHIP, and they are CALLED BY HIS NAME. 

The latter are the emissaries of satan, helping him to fulfill his mission on earth, disobeying God, daring Him as it were, and luring others to do the same. They are marked for eternal doom with their master - the devil, at the end of time.

The big question is:

WHERE DO YOU BELONG? 

THERE IS OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO SWITCH CAMPS TODAY, AND COME OVER TO THE LORD'S SIDE.

THE LIGHT THAT SHINES OUT OF DARKNESS (DAY 27 OF 365)

THE LIGHT THAT SHINES OUT OF DARKNESS
(Nuggets from 2 Corinthians 4:6)

In the beginning, GOD COMMANDED LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS.
Before this time, the world was in utter darkness, but at His command, DARKNESS PRODUCED LIGHT.

What does this tell you?

GOD CREATES SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING.

That thing you wrote off as NOTHING is a RAW MATERIAL in the hands of God. God never writes off anyone or anything, no matter how bad or useless it seems in the sight of men.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This word is Jesus Christ, the word of God who came into this world in the form of a man.
In Jesus dwells LIFE and this LIFE is the LIGHT OF MEN.

"And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:5.

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Shineth” is, ‘phainō’ which means, “TO BRING FORTH INTO THE LIGHT, CAUSE TO SHINE, SHED LIGHT.” 

You were sent by God to let His Light shine through you in dark places. Choose to let God’s Light radiate in everything that you both say and do. Let His Light shine through your countenance and communication. Let His Light be revealed in how you lead and handle others. Let His Light be revealed through your work and through your character. Let the Light of God shine through your relationships, both PERSONAL and PROFESSIONAL. Choose to be a VESSEL used by God and let others see His Light shine through your DAILY INTERACTIONS. 

You were designed to be light. You were chosen to be light. You were created to be light. Choose to surrender to God and let His Light shine through you even in dark environments. 

God sends light where He wants to reveal His Love, Way, and Character. Maybe, you were sent to be the “Difference Maker”. When darkness surrounds you, choose to be light. Choose to reflect Christ. Stay submitted to His Word and let His Light shine through you. Let His Light reveal your love for others. Let His Light display the character and quality of your heart. Choose to let God’s Light shine through your actions. 

In places that lack INTEGRITY, choose to reflect God’s Light and His CHARACTER. Submit to His WILL and His Way of doing things. 

Lead others through your example. Submit to His Word and Counsel. In environments that lack faith, choose to let God’s Light display your measure of FAITH. 

Be the EXAMPLE. Be a Christ-like EXAMPLE. 
Be FAITHFUL and OBEDIENT, always ready to SUBMIT to God’s Word. 

Shine His Light in the marketplace. Shine His Light in the classroom. Reflect His Light when you're on the bus, at the mall or an event.

Don’t let the darkness in our world today derail your focus and vision or  silence your voice. Don’t allow the darkness to muffle your FAITH.

SHINE IN THAT LITTLE CORNER WHERE YOU ARE, LET'S LIGHT UP THIS WORLD TOGETHER.

CHRIST EXISTED BEFORE THE BEGINNING
(Nuggets from Colossians 1:17)

Jesus Christ existed before all things, not only in dignity, being preferable to Angels and men in his nature, names, offices, and works, and worthy of more honor than all creatures; but He was before them in existence, as He must needs be, since they were all made by Him and are all made by Him; He was not only before John the Baptist, his forerunner, before Abraham who saw His day and was glad, before the Adam was made, but before the Angels came into being, the Heavens and the earth, or any creature were formed; and this therefore means that He must be God, who is from everlasting to everlasting, and by him all things consist.

Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead, He embodies the God the Father as well as the Holy Ghost, and when the Holy Spirit comes into your life, Jesus dwells there and God dwells within you at the same time too.

Jesus upholds all things by the word of His power; the heavens have their stability and continuance from Him.

The Angels in Heaven are confirmed in their estate by Him, and have their standing and security in Him, and all mankind live, move, and have their being in Him; the whole frame of nature would burst asunder and break in pieces, were they not held together by Him; every created being has its support from Him, and its consistence in Him; and all the affairs of Providence relating to all creatures are governed, directed, and managed by him, in conjunction with the Father and the blessed Holy Spirit.

Today, God reminds us that Jesus is the ONLY WAY, TRUTH and LIFE; and no one can come to God except through Him. 

You and I cannot do without Jesus because He is the reason we are alive today, and the reason we can call God our Father. Jesus is the bridge that connects you to God and the only LIFELINE you need to be with God in eternity.

YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS SHOULD NOT BE PLATONIC; GET SERIOUS WITH HIM TODAY AND YOU WILL BE THE BEST FOR IT.

THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS (DAY 25 OF 365)

THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS
(Nuggets from 1 Timothy 3:16)

The MYSTERY OF GODLINESS is JESUS CHRIST. He is God, who was made flesh, and was manifest in the flesh. God was pleased to manifest Himself to mortal men, by His own Son taking the nature of man.

Though REPROACHED as a sinner, and put to death as a malefactor, Christ was raised again by the Spirit, and so was JUSTIFIED from all the false charges with which he was loaded. Angels ministered to Him, for He is the Lord of ALL. 

The GOSPEL was REJECTED by the Jews but WELCOMED by the GENTILES; their denial paved the way for the SALVATION of the GENTILES. 

Let us remember that God was manifest in the flesh, to take away our sins, to redeem us from all iniquity, and to purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These doctrines must be shown forth by the FRUIT of the Spirit in your life as a child of God.

Christianity is a mystery, a mystery that could not have been found out by reason or the light of nature, and which cannot be comprehended by human reason. It is a mystery, not of philosophy or speculation; but of GODLINESS, designed to promote HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS. 
Christianity is a revealed mystery, not shut up and sealed; and it does not cease to be a mystery because it is revealed in part for now; we shall understand it better by and by.

There are six things about JESUS CHRIST that make up the MYSTERY OF GODLINESS:

1). Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh: God was manifest in the flesh. This proves that He is God, the eternal Word, that was made flesh and was manifest in the flesh. When God was to be manifested to man He was pleased to manifest himself through His own Son - HIS WORD PERSONIFIED: The Word was made flesh, John 1:14 

2). Jesus Christ was JUSTIFIED in the SPIRIT. Whereas He was reproached as a sinner, and put to death as a malefactor, He was raised again by the Spirit, and so was justified from all the calumnies with which he was loaded. He was made sin for us, and was delivered for our offences; but, being raised again, He was justified in the Spirit because His sacrifice was accepted, and so he rose again for our justification, as he was delivered for our offenses.
Romans 4:25. 

He was put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit, 
1 Peter 3:18

3). Jesus Christ was seen of Angels. They literally worshiped Him - Hebrews 1:6.

They attended to Him after His TEMPTATION, they strengthened Him during His AGONY in the Garden of Gethsemane, they witnessed His CRUCIFIXION and DEATH, they witnessed His RESURRECTION as they rolled the stone away, they ANNOUNCE His RESURRECTION to Mary Magdalene as she visited the sepulcher early in the morning of the third day after Jesus' death, and also confirmed His RESURRECTION to the witnesses. The Angels were also actively involved in His ASCENSION; 
All these show His MAJESTY.

4). Jesus Christ was PREACHED unto the GENTILES. This is a GREAT part of the MYSTERY OF GODLINESS, that Christ was offered to the Gentiles a Redeemer and Savior; that whereas, before, salvation was of the Jews, the wall of partition was now taken down, and the Gentiles were taken in. 
Jesus became a light of the Gentiles, Acts 13:47, the GENTILES accepted the GOSPEL MESSAGE and salvation became their lot because they BELIEVED.

5). Jesus Christ was believed on in the world; He was not preached about in vain. Many of the Gentiles welcomed the gospel which the Jews rejected. 

6). Jesus was received up into glory, during His ascension. 

These six things prove beyond reasonable doubt that Jesus Christ is the Mystery of Godliness, not concealed but evidently made known to all, even though in part for now.

In essence, Jesus Christ is the mystery of Godliness because He is the revealed secret of how God bridged the gap to the sinful human race which paves a way and enables GENUINE GODLINESS and HOLINESS in the life of anyone who TRULY BELIEVES IN HIM.

As the MYSTERY OF GODLINESS, Jesus' death and sacrifice has made it clear to you and I that our GODLINESS or RIGHTEOUSNESS is not achieved by our effort but through FAITH IN CHRIST and the finished work at CALVARY which produces REAL TRANSFORMATION. 

JESUS' LIFE, BIRTH, AGONY, CRUCIFIXION, DEATH, RESURRECTION AND ASCENSION IS THE SOURCE AND REASON BEHIND OUR GODLINESS.

DON'T LET THEM SLIP (DAY 24 OF 365)

DON'T LET THEM SLIP
(Nuggets from Hebrews 2:1)

"Therefore we ought to give the more diligent heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."

You can never repay God commensurately for the love He showed to you by sending His only begotten son to die on the cross, but you can express your *GRATITUDE* and show God how much you appreciate and ESTEEM THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST, BY PUTTING PREMIUM ON GOD'S WORD.

Regrettably, the Body of Christ has lost her savour as the salt of the earth, and lost direction, because the individuals who should constitute the UNIVERSAL CHURCH are all chasing after INCONSEQUENTIAL/MUNDANE things.

It should be your UTMOST PRIORITY to give the most EARNEST HEED to all MESSAGES, SERMONS, ADMONITIONS, WARNINGS, TEACHINGS, PREACHINGS and every SOUND DOCTRINE you have ever heard or read about.

This calls for FREQUENT LISTENING, READING, STUDYING, MEDITATION, and ACTION, by way of putting into practice all you have read or heard. Embrace God's word, cherish them, retain them in your memory and subconscious realm and allow them to REGULATE YOUR LIFE.

It is RISKY to hear God's word without putting them into practice. It could be likened to a farmer who just had a bumper harvest from his farm but instead of preserving the perishables, storing them properly or selling them off at once, he dumps them carelessly, waiting for a convenient time that will never come. 

What will eventually happen to that bumper harvest?

HE WILL INCUR MAXIMUM LOSSES.

The adversary is bent on eroding all you have heard, meaning that you are in danger of letting them slip if you don't apply caution. 

The subtlety of satan makes it easy for him to steals God's word from your heart. On the other hand, the ENTANGLEMENTS and SNARES of this world pose threats to your CHRISTIAN FAITH like the thorns that CHOKE the GOOD SEED. 

God expects ATTENTION and RETENTION. Living a RIGHTEOUS LIFE is a PRACTICAL thing and it is only the word of God you RETAIN that will SUSTAIN you to stand the test of time.

BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD, NOT FORGETFUL HEARERS.

📹 DON'T LET THEM SLIP 

AVOID UNHOLY CONVERSATIONS (DAY 23 OF 365)

AVOID CONVERSATIONS THAT LEAD TO DISPUTES
(Nuggets from 2 Timothy 2:23)

Today's verse cautions against every form of TRIFLING, FOOLISH ARGUMENT or CONVERSATION, because such do not edify but lead to CONTENTIONS and DISPUTES. 

TRUE BELIEVERS and FOLLOWERS OF JESUS should not be found engaging in VAIN and IMPERTINENT DISCUSSIONS, IDLE, FRUITLESS CONVERSATIONS THAT DO NOT EDIFY, or ARGUMENTS that will only lead to STRIFE and UNGODLINESS.

Whether you are ministering to a mammoth crowd of listeners or having a PRIVATE CONVERSATION, KEEP IT CLEAN! 

There are certain questions that you may be asked by crafty people and scorners of the Christian Faith, not with the intention of getting an answer from you, but in a bid to RIDICULE the name of the Lord; when such questions are brought before you: refuse to discuss them. 

Excuse yourself, walk away and don't try to be diplomatic about it. 

Always make your stand known wherever you are; let everyone know your values and principles as a child of God. Our words not only affect our circumstances, they affect those around us. It is of extreme importance to genuinely speak words that EDIFY, ENCOURAGE, and RESPECT others. We must keep our hearts aligned with what is acceptable in God’s sight and guard our mouths CONTINUOUSLY.

God is a SILENT LISTENER and hears everything we say: UNHOLY CONVERSATIONS, JESTING, CARELESS TALKS, MOCKERY, COMPLAINTS, LIES, AND ARGUMENTS. Be careful to guard your mouth and not say anything that contradicts God’s will for you and expectations from you.  

CHANNEL YOUR ENERGY TO THINKING ABOUT GOD'S GOODNESS, THANKING HIM FOR HIS MERCIES, TALKING ABOUT JESUS ALL THE TIME.

Engage in conversations that will EDIFY and not DEFILE YOU. 

Always ask yourself if God would be proud to hear you say what you're about to say, or if He would be proud to see you in the midst of people who mock Him.

CHOOSE THE CONVERSATIONS YOU ENGAGE IN TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

📹 AVOID UNHOLY CONVERSATIONS

DECEIVERS AND ANTICHRISTS ARE HERE (DAY 22 OF 365)

DECEIVERS AND ANTICHRISTS ARE HERE
(Nuggets from 2 John 7)

In the book of 1 John 4:1, Apostle John, the Beloved wrote:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

He urges us to make sure we don't put faith in every spirit, but instead,  prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God or not. The devil knows he has limited time to operate in this world, and as the day of RAPTURE is fast approaching, this is INJURY TIME for him; he is working so hard to DECEIVE and LURE many CARELESS CHRISTIANS into sin, thereby making them UNQUALIFIED FOR THE RAPTURE and UNFIT FOR HEAVEN AT LAST.

The devil does not operate alone. He has FALSE PROPHETS strategically positioned in the world today, on a mission to DECEIVE even the very elect.

These DECEIVERS know the TRUTH, and they know that it is only IGNORANT CHRISTIANS who will fall prey and they will stop at nothing till their mission is accomplished.

John the Apostle gave us a clue on how to identify the DECEIVERS and their DECEIT - They do not confess or preach that Jesus Christ came into this world in the flesh, instead, they propagate errors concerning the person of the Lord Jesus, that He is not the anointed of God, that He is not the Messiah promised of old for the redemption of Israel, or that the promised Messiah and Redeemer who is to come in the flesh is not the same Jesus who died on the cross.

Isn't it Strange that after such evidence and INVALUABLE SACRIFICE on the cross of Calvary, many still deny and oppose the FACT that the Lord Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of the world?

To worsen the situation, such DECEIVERS and ANTICHRISTS are delusional, and they go about deluding souls, undermining the GLORY and KINGDOM of our Lord Jesus Christ. You shouldn't be surprised, though; do you think that satan who has lost his place in Heaven would normally remain nonchalant in this world and allow anyone to go and enjoy what he has missed forever?

PAUSE AND HAVE A RETHINK!

Satan is an impostor, a wilful deceiver, after the GOSPEL LIGHT has shone all over the world with the message of SALVATION FROM SIN and REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS traveling to the ends of the earth, after all the evidence that Jesus Christ has given concerning Himself, and the attestation God has given concerning His Son, many IGNORANT CHRISTIANS still fall for his DECEIT.

Let us not think it strange that there are DECEIVERS and OPPOSERS of the Lord Jesus in the world today, because there were such people in days of old, even in the Apostle's times, so there is NO NEW AGENDA, there are NO NEW AGENTS OF DARKNESS or ANTICHRISTS, they are the same set of instruments used by the devil, the only thing that has changed is their STRATEGY.

As days go by, they study the trend, they make predictions and plan ahead of time to tailor their strategy based on the DEMANDS of our time and the DEPRAVITY THAT IS PREVALENT in this generation. 

Satan's STRATEGY is simple: FORCE MORTALS TO BELIEVE EVERY LIE YOU SELL TO THEM. 

It worked for him in the Garden of Eden; his strategy was to DESTROY the HARMONY that kept God, Adam, and Eve in perfect union. He attacked the trust that cemented their relationship; he deceived Eve by suggesting that trust in God’s Word and God's integrity was not crucial. The moment Adam and Eve doubted the truthfulness of God’s words, the flow of His divine life to His human creation was obstructed.

Satan’s deception led to what we call the FALL OF MANKIND. It was this deception that plunged humanity into the gloom and darkness of death. This insidious infection contaminated the entire human race through the NAIVETY of Adam and Eve, BUT THANK GOD FOR CALVARY.

The GOSPEL OF REDEMPTION produces ASSURANCE in the believer’s PERSONAL VALUE to God, KNOWLEDGE of God, RELATIONSHIP with God, POWER and AUTHORITY over satan, and DIVINE PURPOSE IN GOD'S KINGDOM.

The gospel of redemption is the good news that everyone can believe in Jesus Christ as Redeemer and Lord and begin living His victorious lifestyle. For all who believe, redemption is a PRESENT REALITY, and Satan is already DEFEATED. 

THE VICTORY OF JESUS CHRIST IS OUR VICTORY AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOW OURS, AND HE WILL KEEP YOU FROM ALL DECEIVERS AND ANTICHRISTS IF YOU CLING TO THE CROSS TILL THE END.

WITHDRAW FROM THE DISORDERLY (DAY 21 OF 365)

WITHDRAW FROM THE DISORDERLY
(Nuggets from 2 Thessalonians 3:6)

I heard the story of a Briton who raised a pet snake. The snake grew stronger, bigger, and longer. 
One day, this eight-foot-long python killed the man who raised it.

Sin is also like this python. If you ENTERTAIN SIN in your life, one day it will destroy you. A person’s sinful behavior within the church is likened to a leaven; It spreads to other church members too. 

On an individual level, you as a Christian MUST DEAL WITH SIN RADICALLY when it begins as a little leaven, otherwise, it will corrupt your whole being and lead to destruction ultimately.

This is the reason for today's verse:

WITHDRAW YOURSELF FROM EVERY BROTHER OR SISTER WHO WALKS DISORDERLY, AND GOES AGAINST THE TRADITION/PATTERN OF OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH AND GOD'S DEMANDS.

This information is coming to you because you are an integral part of the BODY OF CHRIST, and if one part of the body is compromised, every other part is affected too.

This is an EARNEST PLEA to everyone who is JEALOUS OF GOD and wants to protect and uphold SANITY AND SANCTITY in the Body of Christ. 

You should have no company with any such person, whether brother or sister, evangelist, clergy or laity, Miracle-worker, philanthropist, deliverance minister, music minister or co-worker in the house of God in any department; IF YOU OBSERVE THAT THE PERSON IS BEHAVING UNSEEMLY, or doing anything contrary to God's word that you know will HAMPER, POLLUTE, and DESTROY the body of Christ, WITHDRAW YOURSELF from them IMMEDIATELY.

These DISORDERLY FOLKS in the Body of Christ are the likes of ACHAN who introduce ACCURSED THINGS into the house of God, making way for God's wrath.

If you hesitate to withdraw from such persons, you will gradually learn their evil ways; "he/she that follows vain and idle persons, and keeps company with such, is in danger of becoming like them."

(Nuggets from Romans 16:17)

Apostle Paul as a closing remark in his epistle to the church in Rome, saw the need to give them instructions about the false teachers, who had been the orchestrators of all the division and chaos in the church.

This was more like an entreaty, beseeching them in love to TAKE NOTE OF ALL THOSE WHO CAUSE DIVISIONS AND OFFENSES, contrary to what he has taught and admonished them and all they had learnt from him.

He was signalling them to see the danger that looms ahead, and be on the lookout for such evil people who are not just outside the church, but wrecking havoc from within, on a mission to CAUSE DIVISIONS AND OFFENSES just to destabilize the body of Christ.

The instruction was clear: IDENTIFY SUCH PEOPLE, MARK THEM AND AVOID THEM!

Our Lord Jesus Christ had foretold His disciples that divisions and offences would come, but he proclaimed a woe on those by whom they come (Matthew 18:7).
 Apostle Paul in today's verse, cautioned the church in Rome, and by extension is CAUTIONING YOU AND I TODAY - MARK THEM AND AVOID THEM. 

A DANGER DISCOVERED IS HALF PREVENTED.

To AVOID THEM means to SHUN EVERY FORM OF COMMUNICATION OR RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM, lest you get infected by them.

Mark all those who cause DIVISIONS, DISSENSIONS and CREATE FACTIONS in the house of God, and AVOID THEM.
SCHISM, SEGREGATION, PARTISANSHIP and any other act that would promote HATRED should not be seen in the house of God or propagated by anyone who professes to love the Lord.

For the sake of SANITY and HEALTH of the body of Christ, it is expedient that anyone who is part and parcel of the BODY OF CHRIST should be a BUILDER, not a DESTROYER.

MARK ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DESTROY THE BODY OF CHRIST AND AVOID THEM, GIVE THEM NO CHANCE.

INHERITING THE KINGDOM AT LAST

A day is coming, when all nations will gather before God, waiting for the final sentence to be pronounced upon everyone by Him.

Jesus Christ our Lord and the FINAL JUDGE will separate the SHEEP from the GOAT at the WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT where everyone will be rewarded according to their deeds during their lifetime.

John 5:22 KJV
"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:" 

Apostle Paul also mentioned it in the book of Acts 17:31 KJV:
"Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised him from the dead."

Jesus did not only die for our sins, He was predestined to be the judge of the entire earth for whom He died on the cross.

The JUDGMENT will be in two phases and between two categories. The phases are:

1. Judgment unto JUSTIFICATION
2. Judgment unto CONDEMNATION

The two categories of people that will be judged are:

1. The SHEEP
2. The GOAT

The SHEEP will be positioned on the RIGHT HAND of Jesus, the JUDGE. They are the CHOSEN, REDEEMED, and CALLED of God. They are those who obeyed the voice of the SHEPHERD in their lifetime, they upheld RIGHTEOUSNESS and they trusted God as the GOOD SHEPHERD, recognized His voice and followed His lead.

On the other hand, the GOAT are those who RESISTED the Shepherd’s call and dedicated their lives to SERVING THE DEVIL by engaging in sinful acts, thus positioning themselves as REBELS before God.

Matthew 25:41 identifies them as “cursed,” and destined “for the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his rebellious angels.”

Their works reveal an unregenerate heart; they heard about Jesus, they knew the commandments of God, they knew that Jesus had died to atone for the sins of mankind, and that the Blood of Jesus has the potency and power to wash away and cleanse every sin, irrespective of the magnitude, BUT THEY NEVER TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE CROSS TILL THEY DIED IN SIN.

It is not God's desire that anyone should PERISH, but because of His NATURE OF JUSTICE, "THE SOUL THAT SINS SHALL DIE." This death is not physical death, but ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD. 

Whilst THE RIGHTEOUS ARE JUSTIFIED AND REWARDED FOR THEIR FAITHFULNESS, the UNRIGHTEOUS will be CONDEMNED FOR THEIR REBELLION AND DISOBEDIENCE.

INHERITING THE KINGDOM OF GOD AT LAST should be your driving force as long as you live in this world, but it comes with a PRICE TAG.

PAY THE PRICE (OF HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS), and AVOID SIN BY ALL MEANS IF YOU MUST WIN THE PRIZE OF INHERITING THE KINGDOM AT LAST.

A GENERATION OF SEDUCERS, DECEIVERS AND HYPOCRITES
(Nuggets from 2 Timothy 3:13)

These are the very LAST DAYS our Lord Jesus and Apostle Paul talked about. You and I are practically LIVING at the TAIL END of the church age. 

TheEV ENTS and the kind of people that will characterize the END TIMES were elaborated in Matthew 24 by our Lord Jesus and also in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 by Apostle Paul. 

The WIND OF THE LAST DAYS is CURRENTLY BLOWING, and the targets are GENUINE CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM. The devil is racing against time because he knows he has limited time to execute his plans, and he is busy exploring all available options to meet up with and exceed his target.

Many GENUINE CHILDREN OF GOD will eventually fall prey as the Bible predicted, EVEN THE VERY ELECT. This should cause some shivers down your spine and make you have a rethink about your walk with God. 

Apostle Paul in 2nd Timothy 3:5 gave us a clue on the CATEGORIES OF CHRISTIANS who will end up being SEDUCED and DECEIVED in these last days:

"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof"... 

Who are those CHRISTIANS who HAVE A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENY THE POWER THEREOF?
All those who have an OUTWARD FORM OF GODLINESS (always looking religious, going to church, pretending to be children of God but living in secret sins, backbiting, propagating hatred, keeping malice) but DENYING THE POWER OF GODLINESS (not allowing the HOLY SPIRIT TO TRANSFORM THEM leading to GENUINE INNER CHANGE and fostering an INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.)

SEDUCERS in this context has a dual meaning: those who are positioned by the devil to lure an unwary Christian into sin of IMMORTALITY, just like Samson was mesmerized by Delilah, and Potiphar's wife who lured Joseph but failed in her mission.

The other aspect of SEDUCERS are those who CONFUSE genuine Christians and lead them astray through WORLDLY PHILOSOPHIES, HERESIES and TWIST the word of God in such a way that would CONVINCE and lead them into BLASPHEMY.

You and I are commanded as BELIEVERS to "turn away from such people". Today's verse warns against HYPOCRISY - professing to be a child of God, acting piously but living contrary to God's injunctions; focusing more on RELIGION and SERVICE to God, prioritizing WORKING FOR GOD, but outrightly refusing to WALK WITH GOD. 

One of the MAJOR HERESIES these DECEIVERS propagate is the DOCTRINE OF ETERNAL SECURITY - THAT ONCE YOU'RE SAVED, YOU'RE FOREVER SAVED.
This is a doctrine from the pit of hell. 

These DECEIVERS go about preaching that once you have given your life to Christ, you are covered; that even if you commit any sin, it is the flesh that committed it and that it doesn't affect the Spirit, therefore if the person dies in that state of sin, that the spirit is in right terms with God because the flesh that committed the sin will be lowered down to mother earth while the Spirit that got born again will ascend to Heaven. 

WHAT A TERRIBLE LIE!!!

If you ever believed this, you're doing so at your own PERIL! 

After being BORN AGAIN, YOU MUST PROTECT YOUR SALVATION by working it out with FEAR & TREMBLING.  The SALVATION in this context is not INTERIM SALVATION (BEING BORN AGAIN), it refers to ETERNAL SALVATION, being QUALIFIED to SPEND THE REST OF ETERNITY WITH GOD AT LAST. 

HYPOCRITES abound in the body of Christ today - like a SQUARE PEG IN A ROUND HOLE. They are FAKE CHRISTIANS, PRETENTIOUS, SLANDEROUS and MISFITS in the Kingdom of God because they are PUBLIC SAINTS but SECRET SINNERS.

So, are you currently under some SPELL of SEDUCTION, DECEIT or HYPOCRISY? Check yourself and so some self-assessment.

DON'T GET CAUGHT IN THE WEB OF SIN AND ALWAYS ASK GOD TO HELP YOU TO DISCERN ARIGHT AND EXPOSE ALL SEDUCERS, DECEIVERS AMD HYPOCRITES AROUND YOU.

DANGERS OF UNBELIEF (DAY 17 OF 365)

DANGERS OF UNBELIEF
(Nuggets from Romans 11:20)

"Well, because of UNBELIEF, they were BROKEN OFF, and thou standest by FAITH, Be not high-minded, but fear." 

Apostle Paul wrote an instructive letter to the church in Rome because as GENTILES, they wouldn't have originally had a RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. He needed to let them know that the only reason they now had a COVENANT RELATIONSHIP with God was simply through FAITH.

It was their FAITH IN CHRIST whom the Jews rejected that they now had ACCESS TO SALVATION. The reason the Israelites were cut off from the OLIVE TREE was because of UNBELIEF. 

Jesus is the OLIVE TREE.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were the ROOT, the origin of the covenant God had with the nation ISRAEL.  

The Jews were the NATURAL BRANCHES that sprang forth from the TREE.

The GENTILES were the WILD SHOOTS that were GRAFTED INTO THE TREE.  The Jews rejected Jesus (due to unbelief), and as a result, they paid the price - by being "broken off" from the TREE. The GENTILES took their place as WILD SHOOTS and were GRAFTED IN because God's SALVATION PLAN for mankind wouldn't be stalled.

Apostle Paul needed to remind them (THE CHURCH IN ROME) that they were GRAFTED IN, and they needed to be HUMBLE and not too CONFIDENT in their own strength and standing.

A HOLY and REVERENTIAL FEAR is an EXCELLENT PRESERVATIVE against HIGH-MINDEDNESS. 

HAPPY and BLESSED is the man, woman, boy, or girl that thus FEARS GOD, and TREMBLES AT HIS WORD ALWAYS.

The evils that befell others in the scriptures and in this present dispensation should be warnings to you as an individual. Learn from their MISTAKES and LIVE WITH CAUTION, lest you repeat the same mistakes that brought them down and suffer the same consequences they suffered.

It is POSSIBLE for churches and/or individuals that have long stood by FAITH to fall into a state of INFIDELITY. That you are standing today doesn't mean you have the power to keep yourself standing forever.

1 Corinthians 10:12
"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." 

NO MATTER THE EXPLOITS GOD IS DOING WITH YOU CURRENTLY, BE HUMBLE AND DON'T BOAST, BECAUSE PRIDE GOES BEFORE A FALL.

THE GOODNESS OF GOD
(Nuggets from Psalm 31:19)

If you want to understand the EXTENT, SCOPE, and DIMENSIONS of GOD'S GOODNESS, think about the CROSS OF CALVARY.

God's Goodness is manifested in His LOVE for mankind, UNIVERSAL, UNEQUIVOCAL and BEYOND HUMAN COMPREHENSION. 

When you think about all the amazing things God does for you and you ask, ‘Why would God do that for me?’, so often the answer is simply, ‘Because He loves you!’

But when you do some retrospection and further introspection and ask, ‘But why does God love me this much?’, your mind would be left hanging and groping for an answer. 

King David expressed it this way in Psalm 139:6 -

"Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it," 

You can't fathom the depth of God's love, you can never know or understand it perfectly well.

As humans, we change our clothes, we change our minds, we change directions, we change schools, we change our jobs, we change cars, and we change moods in an instant, we even SHIFT OUR LOYALTY to God in the face of troubles and trials of life and pledge allegiance to the devil instead, because we feel GOD HAS FAILED US; How UNSTABLE and UNGRATEFUL we can be.

Despite our flaws, denials, betrayal, and rejection, GOD REMAINS GOD, UNCHANGING, STABLE, CONSISTENT and TRUSTWORTHY.

In a world where CONSISTENCY is a RARE COMMODITY, GOD REMAINS DEPENDABLE. 

In a world where PUBLIC OPINION changes with the wind, GOD REMAINS CONSTANT.
Due to IMPATIENCE, you may have developed this tendency of concluding so fast that GOD'S TIMING IS SLOW simply because you think that God's timing is all about you. 

Surprisingly, God’s plans are much bigger than you can see right now. It involves people you haven’t even met and He is thinking years down the track; One day you’ll understand it better.

God had already laid up His Goodness for all that FEAR HIM, not His UNIVERSAL GOODNESS this time around, but CUSTOMIZED GOODNESS, EXCLUSIVELY PRESERVED FOR HIS FAITHFUL CHILDREN. 

WE ARE NOT ALL EQUAL! 

WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME!

You don't expect God's Goodness to be evenly distributed across the world.

GOD IS NOT PRODIGAL WITH HIS BLESSINGS, YOU MUST EARN IT.

In God’s goodness, He has given us Jesus. In Jesus, we have been set free from sin and death, and given a new life in Him.

This is the HERITAGE of all who TRUST IN GOD; His GOODNESS will be showcased in their lives before the eyes of men.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE (DAY 15 OF 365)

YOU ARE NOT ALONE
(Nuggets from Isaiah 64:4)

Since the beginning of the world, men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither have their eyes seen the things God has in store for those who wait on Him and Love Him.

Apostle Paul has cited this passage in 1 Corinthians 2:9 -

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, Neither have entered into the heart of man, The things which God hath prepared for them that love Him."

God has great plans for everyone who loves Him SINCERELY. 
God has a BLUEPRINT for everyone, unique, different and individual-based.

This point was buttressed in Jeremiah 29:11 -

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord."

God chose for you to be here in this world at this point in time. There is a SPECIFIC REASON you were not born 100 years ago; God knew before you were formed in your mother's womb that there's an ASSIGNMENT He has for you, a PROBLEM YOU WERE CREATED TO SOLVE.

God does not send  watching over your life with love. He’s sending others to encourage you. Even now he’s working out his good plan for your life; Everything that lies ahead of you can never be a surprise to God.

On the days when life is hard, God will give you strength;

In the middle of what seems ordinary, God will do extraordinary things.

The hairs on your head are all numbered. The cares in your heart are all known. You will never be alone. 

If you ever feel otherwise, please, come back to these words, meditate on, and personalize them. 

There are three certain things about your future:

1. God will be right there.

2. You will be loved by God.

3. Nothing will be too much for you and Jesus to overcome together, because He has got you covered.

You may not know exactly what’s ahead of you, but you can be certain of who is with you. Always remember that you are not a RANDOM PILGRIM, nameless and unknown in the crowd of humanity. The one who travels with you isn’t afraid of your tears, He isn't overwhelmed by your struggles, or hesitant about seeing you through every step of the way.

Your DUTY/RESPONSIBILITY is to remain a beloved child of the God who breathed life into your lungs and who numbers every hair on your head.

There is nothing you will face today that’s bigger than God. 
No problem, no struggle, no opposition can question His authority. He can’t be defeated, and therefore you can’t be defeated either. 

Yes, there may be some tough battles, you may even be wounded in the process, but you will not be overcome.

God was right there in the hospital room when you received the test results that shook you to your foundation; He’s there in the middle of it all, standing with you on the battlefield, promising you that the war isn’t over, and that the enemy will not win in the end.

It’s okay to let the tears stream down your face, to pound your fists against your pillow, to feel tired, sad or confused. In the middle of it all, hold tightly to what’s true and refuse to let anyone or anything take it from you.

 So, stand tall with this confidence that all things are possible and that, in the end, all will be made right.

OBEY THE LORD, AND PASS IT ON
(Nuggets from Deuteronomy 4:9)

Moses reminded the people of Israel to be LOYAL TO GOD and ensure they are very strict and careful in their observance of the law.

Taking heed goes beyond religious practices or rendering some services to God. It entails ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE to God's instructions, because God is more interested in OBEDIENCE than any SACRIFICE.

Most CHRISTIANS feel that they can appease God for their wrong deeds by rendering help to the needy or by doing some humanitarian or philanthropic work, but NO!

GOD CANNOT BE BRIBED WITH YOUR GOOD DEEDS!

You have to be CAREFUL and live life  CAUTIOUSLY, walk circumspectly always as long as you live.

Considering the TEMPTATIONS we are compassed about with in the world at this close of age, and the evil tendencies and inclinations lurking around, there is an URGENT NEED to live your life with the CONSCIOUSNESS OF ETERNITY in view at all times.

This is not a time to give room for any form of POLLUTION or CONTAMINATION. You can't afford to have your GARMENT SOILED at this point in time.

Talking about GARMENTS, what is the status of your garment currently?
Is it SPARKLING AS WHITE AS SNOW? Or is it GREASED WITH SIN BEYOND REDEMPTION?

 As Moses admonished the Israelites, God is admonishing you and I today with these same words:

"Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;"

Always put these words in remembrance, keep them close to your soul, ENGRAVE THEM IN YOUR HEART and RUMINATE on them everyday, chewing the cud daily; MEDITATE on them, ASSIMILATE, and PERSONALIZE God's words and instructions and hold it so dear as your ONLY LIFELINE. 

Furthermore, God is enjoining us through this verse to not just OBEY HIS WORD for ourselves alone, but to leave a LIFELONG LEGACY by PASSING IT ON to our progeny and unborn generations to come. 

LIKE A MARATHON, THE RACE AIN'T ENDING WITH YOU, PASS THE BATON ON AND LET THIS LEGACY STAND THE TEST OF TIME.

Pass it on, not just to your progeny, but to everyone around you, your neighbors, friends, business associates, colleagues, class mates, course mates, relatives and everyone you know. 

THIS IS ONE DUTY YOU AND I OWE THE LORD, AND THE ONUS LIES WITH US TO FULFILL OUR INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE MINISTRIES, FOR THIS IS THE MAJOR REASON WE WERE CREATED.

THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH (DAY 13 OF 365)

THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH
(Nuggets from John 14:17)

"Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive,".... 

Jesus was referring to the COMFORTER as THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, because TRUTH is one of the attributes of God.
(Deuteronomy 32:4)

"He is the Rock, His work is perfect: For all His ways are judgment: A GOD OF TRUTH, and without iniquity, Just and right is He." 

The COMFORTER whom Jesus promised would come and dwell with His disciples when after His departure from this world is the HOLY SPIRIT, the SPIRIT OF GOD, TRUTH PERSONIFIED.

The HOLY SPIRIT gives BOLDNESS and EMPOWERS the BELIEVER who is qualified to be Gods abode, whose life is VOID OF SIN and FILTH.

"WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE"..

The SPIRIT OF TRUTH cannot be received by the world because the things of the SPIRIT are like FOOLISHNESS to a worldly person. The WORLD here are the CARNALLY-MINDED FOLKS.
They still have the ADAMIC NATURE operational in them. Such natural men can neither receive the Holy Spirit nor understand the things of the Spirit they do not love them, but instead, they despise and hate them:

"because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him;"

The world (carnal people) can neither see Him (The Holy Spirit) with their eyes, because He is a "SPIRIT"; nor know him with their understanding, because He is the "Spirit of truth", which they are ignorant of, because their eyes of understanding are not enlightened.

"But ye know him;", referring to those who are SPIRITUALLY-MINDED, they know the Holy Spirit as a spirit of ILLUMINATION, REGENERATION, and CONVERSION: THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH who shows them the way and directs them through to eternal life.

"For He dwelleth with you" ; He (THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH ) is an INHABITANT in your heart, He has taken up his residence in you as His temple. What an honor it is to have the SPIRIT OF GOD dwell in you.

"And shall be in you;".. As a Comforter, Jesus told His disciples that when He was finally gone, the HOLY SPIRIT would guide them into all truth, stand by them and assist them in preaching the gospel and at the same time enable them to win souls and fulfill their ministries individually and collectively. 

COVET THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH TODAY, KEEP YOUR LIFE HOLY AND HE WILL MAKE YOU HIS ABODE.

THE MYSTERY OF GOD'S WILL - DIVINE REVELATION
(Nuggets from Ephesians 1:9)

Apostle Paul appreciated and blessed God for the great privilege which He bestowed on him - DIVINE REVELATION, having the MYSTERY OF GOD'S WILL made known to him.

You have heard it repeatedly that the Lord has a plan for you, and that is to GIVE YOU AN EXPECTED END.

God is instructing you and I today to SEEK HIS WILL, EMBRACE IT, ALIGN WITH IT and LIVE IT. 

GOD'S WILL is the KEY to your future.
God's will remains a MYSTERY to all those who do not make any commitment to Him and LIVE their lives outside His PURPOSE AND WILL.

Many people talk about how frustrated they are in their Christian lives and there are two likely and ultimate reason for this:

1. They don’t understand the nature of the will of God.

2. They have no idea how to find it. 

If you don’t understand these two things, you may feel INSECURE and BEREFT OF DIRECTION in your walk with God. 

When you honor your Savior and stay on track with what He envisions for your life, you will automatically align with His will, He unravels the MYSTERY to you, and what seems impossible or unachievable to many gets to you on a platter of Gold.

More often than not, it’s QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE, FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN, UNCERTAINTY ABOUT TOMORROW, LACK OF CLARITY ABOUT DECISIONS THAT MUST BE MADE, and/or CHALLENGES THAT ARISE WITH NO FORESEEABLE SOLUTION that drive us to our knees before the Father. 

As you move forward in SEEKING TO UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF GOD'S WILL and HOW TO FIND IT, you must remember one important truth - OUR GOD IS A PLANNER. 
He’s not a reactor; He didn’t set this world in motion to be ruled by chance or wild, unchecked forces,  and He didn’t create you to live without HOPE and PURPOSE. 

From before the beginning of time, God had already made plans for you and for me. He created this world with a variety of landscapes, colors, animals, plants, foods, smells, and textures … and He thought of everything to satisfy our needs, stir our imaginations, fascinate our minds, and give joy to our souls as we DISCOVER OUR PURPOSE BY FINDING HIS WILL AND WALKING THEREIN.

God is attentive to all circumstances in your life, and He is observant of the minutest details. He cares about the decisions, directions, problems, burdens, and conflicts that concern you. 

Though the journey of seeking and living out God’s will may not be easy at times, it’s always worthwhile. When you listen to the Father and follow His will for your life, you get His very best. It’s that simple.

To crown it all, SUBMITTING TO GOD'S WILL AVAILS YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE UNIMAGINABLE JOY AND FULFILLMENT BECAUSE YOU WILL LIVE OUT THE VERY PURPOSE FOR WHICH YOU WERE CREATED.

THE SECRETS OF GOD
(Nuggets from Genesis 18:17)

God reveals His secrets to who FEAR, REVERENCE, HONOR and OBEY Him. God gives them a better INSIGHT into what is present, and a better FORESIGHT of what is to come.

The sins of Sodom and Gomorrah had become so extreme and God was about to destroy the city with fire and brimstone, but because of His RELATIONSHIP with Abraham, knowing that his Nephew (Haran's son) Lot and his family dwelt there, God knew that Abraham would feel bad if he suddenly got a news that Sodom and Gomorrah had been destroyed, hence His resolve to open up to Abraham. 

God wouldn't have revealed this secret to Abraham if there was no INTIMACY and MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING between them. 

This happened shortly after Abraham had hosted and entertained ANGELS and gotten a REAFFIRMATION OF HIS DIVINE PROMISE as a result of His HOSPITALITY - a son of His own.

God revealed His INTENTIONS (SECRETS) concerning Sodom and Gomorrah to Abraham for certain reasons:

1. Abraham would surely become a great and mighty nation, and all that concerns humanity would concern him. 

2. In Abraham shall all the nations of the earth be BLESSED, hence, he is personally and directly concerned with all the dealings of MERCY and JUDGMENT among the inhabitants of the earth. 

3. God had made Himself known to Abraham personally and developed an UNWAVERING TRUST in him, which made Him to enter into a COVENANT with him, so God had thought, if He could make a COVENANT with Abraham, there was definitely no need to hide His INTENTIONS/SECRETS from him.

This was why this impending judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah needed to be explained to him, so that he would have knowledge of God's ways and train his household to avoid the sins that doomed the city.

God knew that Abraham would keep His ways and this was one way to prove to not just Abraham but also to the entire generations after him and the whole world at large that GOD HONORS THOSE WHO HONOR HIM.

Abraham paid huge prices before He could win the heart of God and get to the point of having GOD'S SECRETS and INTENTIONS divulged to Him.

BE LIKE ABRAHAM, AND PAY WHATEVER PRICE IT WOULD TAKE TO DRAW GOD'S ATTENTION AND MAKE HIM CONFIDE IN YOU.

A FRIEND OF GOD
(Nuggets from James 2:23)

"And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God."

The scripture was fulfilled in the life of Abraham, the FATHER OF FAITH, because He chose to BELIEVE GOD.

Abraham, the father of all faithful, and the prime example of justification, to whom the Jewish nation had and currently have special regard was justified by works when he had offered Isaac his ONLY son upon the altar.

Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 4:3 that Abraham believed, and it was counted to him for RIGHTEOUSNESS. 

By what Abraham did, it became obvious beyond reasonable doubt that he TRULY BELIEVED GOD. 
Upon this footing and premise, God Himself PERSONALLY pronounced BLESSINGS upon him:

Genesis 22:16,17, "Because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son therefore in blessing I will bless thee."  

The FAITH of Abraham was a WORKING FAITH.

Abraham's Faith produced these works, thus endearing him to God and advanced him to very PECULIAR FAVORS and INTIMACY with God. It was such a GREAT HONOR to Abraham that he was called and counted the friend of God. 

Not everyone in the scripture was referred to as A FRIEND OF GOD.
Only two persons stood out in the Bible and earned themselves this honor of being called FRIENDS OF GOD:

1). Abraham (James 2:23; Isaiah 41:8)
2). Moses (Exodus 33:11)

Abraham faced a DIFFICULT TEST when God commanded him to make an unusual and based on human standards - seemingly nonsensical and cruel sacrifice. God used this test of obedience to see whether or not Abraham trusted Him fully and would, in faith, obediently make everything he had available for God’s use to the point of offering his ONLY son to God. 

WHAT AN ENIGMA!

Before facing this hard test, Abraham had already experienced a dynamic relationship with the living God, who told him to leave his family and go to an entirely new land that he didn't even know of. 

In all circumstances, God always fulfilled His previous promises to Abraham, including giving Abraham and his wife, Sarah, their beloved son, Isaac.

Like Abraham, you have opportunities to believe God, and that includes having FAITH that He will keep His promises and allowing Him to carry out His will for your life. As you trust and obey Him, you will experience His peace and contentment regardless of any perplexing situation you're facing currently.

Today, you have a choice. Will you listen to God’s voice through these nuggets, the Bible, place of prayer, and the wisdom of GODLY PEOPLE?

Don't stop at ONLY seeking God’s will for your life; go a step further by  obeying Him FAITHFULLY, whether or not you know the final outcome.

Won't you love to be regarded as A FRIEND OF GOD in this generation?

FAITH IN GOD GENDERS OBEDIENCE AND LOYALTY TO HIM AND THIS IS WHAT MAKES YOU A FRIEND OF GOD INDEED.

DANGERS OF AN UNBRIDLED TONGUE (DAY 9 OF 365)

DANGERS OF AN UNBRIDLED TONGUE
(Nuggets from Psalm 39:1)

David here remembered the covenants he had made with God to walk circumspectly, and to be very cautious both of what he did and what he said. It was a worthwhile retrospection, one that is not common amongst 'Christians' of our time.

When at any time you are tempted to sin, and in danger of falling into it, you must call to mind the solemn vows you have made against sin, against the particular sin you are upon the brink of.  

BESETTING SINS ARE REAL!

NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS DO NOT END BESETTING SINS.

You know your weaknesses as an individual, those SECRET SINS that haunt you time and again. You know that the SAINT people call you in public is a direct opposite of your TRUE IDENTITY , but should you fold your hands and allow things degenerate beyond redemption?

Why do you think David was called 'a man after God's heart?'

HE WAS A VERY SINCERE MAN.

David never pretended to be a saint or justified his evil actions whenever he was indicted despite being the King of Israel.

David had experienced the DANGER OF AN UNBRIDLED TONGUE when Absalom his son revolted and rebelled against him. He was fleeing his seat of power in Jerusalem and on his way, Shimei confronted him and unleashed insults, curses, abusive and unprintable words on King David, he literally assaulted David so badly, reminding him that he was getting a retribution for being instrumental to the bloodshed in Saul's household (even though David was innocent of these accusations), he called David a BLOOD-THIRSTY MAN, throwing dust and stones at him.

David accepted the curses and even thought it was God who sent Shimei to assault him as a way to pay for his sins.

How did this affect David?
At the heat of this assault, David told Abishai who wanted to kill Shimei to refrain and let him go, but David had this animosity in him and planned a revenge. 

When David returned to power after Absalom's death, Shimei came to plead for mercy and David 'forgave him jokingly', he needed to pay back.

David later on instructed Solomon his son to deal with Shimei and eventually, Shimei was executed during Solomon's reign.

David regretted his actions, seeing that AN UNBRIDLED TONGUE has DIRE CONSEQUENCES, exemplified in the life of Shimei.

HOW HEALTHY IS YOUR TONGUE?
HOW SEASONED ARE YOUR WORDS?

Do you spit out venom like an asp every moment you open your mouth to speak?

Have you led people into depression with your UNBRIDLED TONGUE?

What about the SEEDS OF DISCORD you have sown here and there because you don't know how to talk?

It is very possible you are a CHATTERBOX , even though you claim to be a CHILD OF GOD.

Dear Christian, don't GOSSIP or TALK YOURSELF INTO HELL.

BE CAREFUL! 

TAME YOUR TONGUE!
BRIDLE IT! 

Watch your Words and let them be SEASONED WITH SALT ALWAYS. 

THE STRONGER THE TEMPTATION TO SIN IS, THE STRONGER THE RESOLUTION MUST BE AGAINST IT. 

Let nothing but GRACE exude from your mouth every moment you speak.

TAKE HEED, AND LOVE THE LORD
(Nuggets from Joshua 23:11)

To take heed requires WATCHFULNESS and DILIGENCE.

In this verse, Joshua was directing the Israelites on what to do in order to persevere and remain steadfast in following the Lord and obeying all His instructions.

If we must cleave to the Lord, we must always be on our guard, because many start well but passage of time makes their LOVE AND COMMITMENT TO GOD fade away, primary due to their CARELESSNESS.

If you TRULY Love God, you will not make any attempt or think about leave Him. 

Has God not been FAITHFUL and TRUE to you? 

Our major problem as humans is that we are naturally insatiable and always want God to do this and that for us, but we don't pay as much attention to THE THINGS WE SHOULD BE DOING FOR GOD.

The REAL QUESTION is WHAT HAS GOD NOT DONE FOR YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL? 

Troubles of life may have been severe and long, trials and temptations may have been great and many; but ultimately, God's goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life if only you are WILLING and OBEDIENT enough to TAKE HEED, AND LOVE THE LORD.

ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD...

Romans 8:28 AMPC
"We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose."

God is a partner in your labor, and all things (good or unsavory) work together for good because they are all fitted into God's divine plan for your life.

God is aware of EVERYTHING, and it will end in PRAISES if you remain FAITHFUL to Him.

WATCH and PRAY against TEMPTATIONS, TRUST in God's FAITHFULNESS, LOVE, and POWER; CLEAVE to His COMMANDMENTS , and you shall be happy in this life hereafter in ETERNITY.
