BUILD UP AND GROW IN THE SPIRIT (DAY 4 OF 365)

BUILD UP AND GROW IN THE SPIRIT
(Nuggets from Jude 1:20)

The best way to HOLD FAST your PROFESSION as a child of God is to BUILD ON THE FOUNDATION YOU HAVE LAID already, after accepting Jesus Christ into your life as your LORD AND SAVIOR

JESUS CHRIST IS OUR FIRM FOUNDATION and you can always stand secure on Him, having laid your foundation well, by maintaining a SOUND FAITH, and a SINCERE and  UPRIGHT HEART.

Once the foundation of a building is laid, the next thing that follows is to BUILD ON IT

Building on a solid foundation guarantees the STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY and DURABILITY of the house, with no fear of collapse in the near future or even many decades after.

Building on a WRONG FOUNDATION will definitely lead to a FATAL DISASTER in the near future because such a house is already compromised ab initio.

If you REPENTED GENUINELY and resolved not to return to your sinful past, your foundation is SURE, but if your repentance was just a MAKE-BELIEVE, then your foundation is faulty and you cannot stand the test of time.

Growth is a natural phenomenon expected of every living creature. With all things in place, GROWTH IS INEVITABLE.

However, if there is a delay or STUNTED GROWTH, it means that something is fundamentally wrong.

In Agriculture for instance, if a farmer plants seeds and upon inspection after some few days or weeks as the case may be, he realizes that there was no SPROUTING of the radicle and plumule, it means that either THE SEED IS NOT VIABLE or THE SOIL IS NOT FERTILE, or some environmental factors led to the FAILURE.

In this scenario, God is the FARMER, you as a CHILD OF GOD are the SEED , and the world is the SOIL.

You were planted in this world at BIRTH, and it is not God's fault if you FAIL to yield/germinate/sprout in this world.

Not all seeds are viable, same way God does not expect that everyone he allowed to come into this world should be PRODUCTIVE AND USEFUL TO HIM AND THE KINGDOM, as you can see clearly that a vast majority of the world population are rebelling against God.

So the question is WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING ON?

You must be mindful of your FOUNDATION primarily, and also the kind of materials with which you build. (1 Corinthians 3:11-15)

Building up yourself means that you should SEEK GROWTH INTENTIONALLY by not stopping at SALVATION. Go ahead and seek SANCTIFICATION to have the nasty nature of the natural man destroyed and HAVE THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTIVATED in your life and  then seek Holy Ghost Baptism to have the GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT ACTIVATED in your life.

PRAYING IN THE HOLY GHOST is what will SUSTAIN all you have AMASSED and BUILT so far. If you have the FRUIT and GIFTS of the Spirit and fail to pray, you will suddenly quench within a short time.

The Holy Spirit is like the ENGINE OIL that LUBRICATES the engine parts and keeps them performing optimally, which when RENEWED from time to time, prevents knocking, while PRAYER is like the FUEL that POWERS the ENGINE and prevents the engine from internal corrosion, formation of sludge and potential damage.

So you have to BUILD, KEEP BUILDING UP YOURSELF, and also BUILD UP OTHERS too; Strengthen someone else.

Don’t let the circumstances of life harden you and make you a selfish Christian who seeks only his/her growth and cares less about others.

LET'S LOOK OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER AND TOGETHER, WE WILL BUILD UP THE BODY OF CHRIST.

This is HOLINESS CHALLENGE
