(Nuggets from Galatians 6:10)
Doing good to all men is an OPPORTUNITY and a CHOICE.
The opportunity you have to touch lives is the period of your earthly existence, while you are still alive.
In your lifetime, how many lives have you touched?
God urges you today to choose to do good unto all men. Let His Light shine through your words, deeds and actions. Let His Love flow through your heart. Show others the Love of Christ by showing mercy to those who have done you wrong.
Choose to love and forgive freely. When you have the opportunity to do good, choose to do good.
The Amplified version rendering says, “So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God's family with you, the believers].”
Be mindful to do good to others. Choose to be a SPIRITUAL and NATURAL blessing to others. When it’s in your power to do good, go ahead and do it without reservation.
Your interest should be not just their PHYSICAL or MATERIAL well-being; their ETERNAL well-being should also be prioritized.
Of what use is your material kindness when the soul is far away from God? Strike a balance as you reach out to people to touch their lives. Even though Apostle Paul recommended that the Galatian brethren focus on hospitality within the household of Faith - the body of Christ (the church), God loves inclusion.
Your generosity must cut across all ages, colours, races and religious persuasions. This is a viable tool for Evangelism too, who knows if this could be a hook God wants to use to draw them out of darkness and show them the light.
Extend to them the Lovingkindness of God through your actions. Let your life stand as a living example of God’s faithfulness, gentleness, and loving kindness.
Choose SELFLESSNESS over GREED and AVARICE; be mindful of others.
Jesus went about doing good while he was in this world, and as His followers, you should do the same too.
