NO CONDEMNATION
(Nuggets from 1 John 3:21)
Have you ever felt condemned, and unworthy of God's love and forgiveness? Condemnation in this context is not referring to sinners who are not yet ready to give their lives to Christ, but BELIEVERS who know the truth, hear the truth and choose to do otherwise.
Apostle Paul in Romans 8 verse 1 wrote:
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT."
The clause here is "WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH"..
This means that not everyone who is in Christ Jesus walks in the Spirit; a vast majority of 'Christians' walk after the flesh, fulfilling the lusts thereof.
CONDEMNATION can occur when a sinner truly repents and it comes in form of whispers from the devil, telling the individual that his or her sins are still unforgiven, as though God did not attend to their plea for mercy, bringing feelings of guilt, shame, and hopelessness, making you believe you're unworthy of His love and forgiveness.
This is not the condemnation in question.. Condemnation in our context today is the pricking of the heart that comes with UNCONFESSED SINS, SECRET SINS, FAKE LIFESTYLE, and all forms of sinful activities that a supposed child of God indulges in.
CONDEMNATION comes with GUILT, and until you get to the point where you are no longer feeling condemned, you cannot approach God with confidence.
So, how can you overcome the hindrance of condemnation? The first step is to remember that God's love and forgiveness are always available. No matter what you've done or how you feel, He is always ready to welcome you back with open arms.
God is calling you to live a life of SINCERITY, avoid every form of HYPOCRISY, be a GENUINE CHRISTIAN in the public spaces and in your secret place, and you will never experience CONDEMNATION.
