(Nuggets from Hebrews 10:19)
Prior to the death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary, sins were atoned for by the animal sacrifices which only COVERED the sins temporarily.
The fact that the sins were only COVERED was WORRISOME to God and DETRIMENTAL to man because such a SACRIFICE was not SUSTAINABLE.
Bulls, oxen, heifer and cattle would have gone extinct way long before Jesus Christ came into this world.
This was why God in His INFINITE LOVE made an INVALUABLE PROVISION, a SUSTAINABLE SACRIFICE - ONCE AND FOR ALL.
The VALUE of something is determined by the price in which someone would pay for it, and God paid the ultimate price FOR YOU!
Why would God pay that high a price for something He didn’t value?
He wouldn’t.
So, the BLOOD OF JESUS shed on the cross of Calvary is proof of the worth and value He places on you.
He paid the greatest price so that you would never have to question His love. He paid for you with His blood to bring you to Him, and now NOTHING can separate you from His Love.
(Ephesians 2:13, Romans 8:38-39)
The BLOOD of Jesus has brought you right into the presence of God, and into a close, intimate fellowship with God the Father.
In the old testament, the high priest would enter the HOLY OF HOLIES to offer a sacrifice ONCE A YEAR, on the DAY OF ATONEMENT. He would need to pass through the veil which was a thick partition that separated men from the HOLY and SACRED PRESENCE OF GOD.
The High Priest in the old testament didn't have direct access to the Tabernacle unless it was time for atonement, and his legs were tied with a rope and a bell hanging on the helm of his garment to signal the people as to whether he was still alive or dead. In the event where the high priest enters the Tabernacle with sin, God would strike him dead, and the rope would be used to drag him out.
IMAGINE THE TECHNICALITIES AND BOTTLENECKS THEY HAD TO PASS THROUGH TO ACCESS GOD'S PRESENCE!
But THANK GOD FOR CALVARY!
Jesus died and immediately, the wall of partition was broken; the veil that separated us from God's presence was abolished, because the BLOOD OF JESUS, a SPOTLESS BLOOD was shed.
This is why you can now have an UNHINDERED and UNBROKEN fellowship with God. The sin that separated us from Him has been completely paid for, removed, and washed away!
The Blood gives you UNRESTRICTED ACCESS to the throne of His grace, to the Holy of Holies, to the very presence of God, at any time and in your time of need, by His blood.
YOU CAN NOW APPROACH THE PRESENCE OF GOD WITH BOLDNESS BECAUSE THE BLOOD OF JESUS AVAILS FOR YOU, AND EVERY BARRIER HAS BEEN REMOVED PERMANENTLY!
THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD!
