(Nuggets from 1 Peter 1:22)
A PURE HEART is a heart that is clean or purified by fire. It is a heart that loves from the right motives for the right things. It is about loving God solely because He is God and deserves our love.
A PURIFIED HEART IS A PURIFIED SOUL; a heart that has been CIRCUMCISED, SANCTIFIED, REGENERATED, TRANSFORMED, RENEWED, AND REVIVED.
1 John 4:19 tells us God loved us first, and Romans 5:5 tells us that God poured His love into us. Here is what this means: God has given us His love. If you are ever wondering if God loves you, THINK ABOUT THE SACRIFICE HE MADE - OFFERING HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SAKE.
WHAT AN AMAZING LOVE!
You can't manifest PURE LOVE FROM A PURE HEART if you don't love God who loved you first even in your Stubbornness and Rebellion.
Jesus says in Matthew 5:41 that we should go the EXTRA MILE with people. When you develop a PURIFIED SOUL WITH A PURE HEART, you can do this. You can do hard things for others.
PURIFIED SOULS AND PURIFIED HEARTS ARE ALTRUISTIC IN NATURE; they go all out of their way to see that others are happy and comfortable even when things aren't rosy for them.
Today, God is instructing us as believers to love one another not pretentiously not in eye service but with a pure heart, a heart washed in the Blood free, from sin and worldly lust.
Jesus commanded that we LOVE one another as we LOVE ourselves, and because we love ourselves, we can't intentionally hurt ourselves likewise when we love our brethren with a pure heart as the Bible instructs, we will not do things that will hurt others, we'll help one another grow and get rid of things that disrupt love, things like jealousy and hatred and let love lead.
Love is beyond mere confession; Agape love will provoke you to pray for your brethren in the household of Faith, to support when it is needed, to lend a helping hand in times of need and not brag about it.
DO NOT LOVE WITH EVIL INTENTIONS; KEEP YOUR HEART PURE, AND LOVE LIKE JESUS.
