(Nuggets from Jude 1:19)
This was an exhortation from Jude who was a half-brother of our Lord Jesus Christ. He warned against FALSE TEACHERS, UNBELIEF, SINS OF THE FLESH, APOSTASY, UNGODLINESS and EVIL SPEAKING.
He further reminded us of the words of the Apostles of our Lord Jesus and warned that we should not be carried away in these last days and that we should avoid those who DO THINGS THAT ARE CONTRARY TO THE WILL OF GOD; but how do you IDENTIFY such people?
- They never associate with God or anything that pertains to God or His son, Jesus Christ; they don't regard the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary, and they SEPARATE THEMSELVES and NEVER IDENTIFY WITH CHRIST.
- They are SENSUAL; always given to the SINS OF THE FLESH. They have not mortified their flesh and as a result, they engage in all acts of immorality and consistently defile the flesh.
Your body should be the TEMPLE OF GOD, but for such people, they go about bragging that it is their choice to do whatever they want to do with their body. AVOID SUCH PEOPLE!
Such people who do not associate with God do not have the Spirit of God and can never receive God's attention. They are not ADOPTED INTO SONSHIP either because "as many who have received the SPIRIT OF GOD are called the SONS OF GOD." This means that such people have NO PEDIGREE.
Don't be a men-pleaser, don't join the bandwagon, don't follow multitudes to do evil.
ASSOCIATING WITH THOSE WHO DON'T ASSOCIATE WITH GOD IS TANTAMOUNT TO SEPARATING YOURSELF FROM GOD!
