A BETTER HOPE
(Nuggets from Hebrews 7:19)

The writer of Hebrews declares in Hebrews 7:19, "For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God." This verse shines a spotlight on the unshakeable hope we have in Jesus Christ, a hope that anchors us in the midst of life's uncertainties, a hope that enables us to draw near to God with CONFIDENCE and BOLDNESS.

This hope is rooted in Jesus' finished work on the cross, where He paid the price from our sins, and gave us a new life in Him. Through this hope, we're empowered to live a life that's pleasing to God, walking in obedience, and surrender to His word.

Jesus has inaugurated a new and living way, giving us direct access to God's presence, and empowering us to live a life that's unshaken and unmoved by the world's turbulence. This hope is not a fragile or fleeting emotion, but a ROCK-SOLID foundation that undergirds our existence.

As we stand on the promises of God's Word, we're reminded that our worthiness isn't based on our own merits, but one Jesus' finished work on the cross. We can approach God with confidence knowing that  we're accepted and loved by Him. 

In Him, we have boldness and access with confidence by the Faith of Him. We have a newfound confidence in our relationship with God.

As we grow in our understanding of this better hope, we'll become more like Christ, and our lives will reflect His glory, making us a beacon of hope in a world that's increasingly dark.

Let's fix our eyes on Jesus, the source of our hope, and allow His Word to anchor us in the midst of life's storms.
