CALLED FROM THE WOMB - Nuggets from Isaiah 49:5

CALLED FROM THE WOMB
(Nuggets from Isaiah 49:5)

This passage clearly shows how Jesus Christ our Lord was CALLED FROM THE WOMB, and that far greater triumphs would await the Redeemer of Israel and this would outweigh the recovery of the scattered tribes.

Jesus was called to be a LIGHT TO THE WHOLE GENTILE WORLD; to be "a means of SALVATION to the uttermost part of the earth."

Jesus Christ is God's SHARP SWORD and POLISHED ARROW, as seen clearly in Isaiah 49 verse 2: -

"And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand has He hid me and made me a polished arrow; in His quiver has He kept me close and concealed me."

Jesus Christ is the "POLISHED ARROW" because He was divinely prepared, concealed by God in His "QUIVER" (referring to the hidden years in Nazareth), and perfectly crafted for a DIVINE, PRECISE, POWERFUL and UNIVERSAL MISSION of SALVATION, ready to be deployed at God's perfect time to bring TRUTH into the world, shine forth as a LIGHT and defeat all forms of spiritual darkness.

This TRUE MISSION that hitherto looked small turned out into one that is very much larger, widening, deepening and all-inclusive.

Let's take a look at the SCOPE OF HIS MISSION:

I. IN THE WORK OF THE LORD JESUS HIMSELF: As Jesus "grew in wisdom," He realized that "His Father's business" involved more than appeared to Him when He was just twelve years old. There was a time when He instructed His disciples to "go not into any way of the Gentiles:" and when He said, "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
(Matthew 10:5-6; Matthew 15:24).

But later on, He not only recognized for Himself that His work was to as vast and wide for all humanity and to embrace those furthest away from truth and from God, but He commanded His disciples to "baptize all nations," to "go into all the world," etc.

Under His Holy hand, His great mission grew, and it became that one which, for the vastness of its proportions and the beneficence of its aim, leaves every human enterprise immeasurably behind, showing the divine nature of His choice and calling, far beyond human comprehension.

II. IN THE WORK OF THE APOSTLES OF OUR LORD: James and John, when they were asked by their Master whether they could drink of His cup, answered with sure confidence, "We can", but little did they know what were the contents of that cup; they had no clue how great and stupendous the task which their Lord would leave in their hands was.

III. IN THE WORK OF MEN IN THIS DISPENSATION: At different times, men have presented themselves to some work of necessary reformation. They supposed that they could measure the extent of their task; but they found that as they proceeded it enlarged, and what they first attempted proved to be "a light thing" in comparison with all that they ultimately accomplished.

A). MARTIN LUTHER
He contributed greatly to the gospel mission by championing the radical reorientation of Christian faith back to the core message of SALVATION THROUGH GOD'S GRACE ALONE, received by faith alone, as found in Scripture alone. His work, catalyzed the Protestant Reformation, challenged the ideologies of the papacy during his time and fundamentally changed how Christians understood their relationship with God and the church's role. He founded the Lutheran church. Martin Luther nailed 95 theses thinking he was fixing a few corrupt practices. He woke up and discovered he had birthed the Protestant Reformation.

B). JOHN KNOX
He was a GREAT SCOTTISH REVIVALIST who cried to God endlessly saying: "GIVE ME SCOTLAND, OR I DIE."
He prayed for the religious reformation and conversion of Scotland, expressing his deep commitment to seeing His country turned to Protestantism, and he got the revival he sought. He founded the Presbyterian church of Scotland.

C). JOHN WESLEY
He was a preacher who emphasized on Personal Faith and Holiness,  stressing that God's grace was available to all and that Christians could achieve "entire sanctification" or "Christian perfection." He founded the Methodist Church.

His conviction in God and his desire for the salvation of his country (Scotland) at the expense of His own life showed how selfless and passionate he was for the sake of the gospel mission. John Wesley wanted to reform the Church of England — he ended up igniting a holiness movement that circles the globe till today.

Before your mother felt the first kick…

Before the ultrasound technician said “It’s a boy!” or “It’s a girl!”…

Before your father even knew your name, God had already signed your mission papers, stamped them with blood, and  commissioned you for this assignment.

Jesus was formed, so were you; The same hands that knitted the galaxies knitted you in secret. You were not an accident looking for a purpose, You were a purpose looking for a body.

Jesus was hidden, so were you;

Those seasons when nobody clapped for you, nobody posted you, nobody knew your name? That was your quiver time; Stop despising your hidden years; that is where God polishes the arrow so it flies straight and pierces deep.

What looks like “only my village” in God’s hands becomes nations. What looks like “only my workplace” becomes revival fire. What looks like “only my small business” becomes generational wealth that funds the gospel. Never measure your assignment by its current size; measure it by the size of the God who gave it.

Your obedience today is bigger than you think.

That WhatsApp message you’re scared to forward, that offering you’re ashamed to give, that apology you’re delaying, that gospel tract in your bible you are hesitating to share;

Heaven is watching.

The angels are leaning over, waiting for you to take that BOLD STEP today, because what feels small to you is a CATALYST God needs to bring about that game-changing moment that will lead to a massive harvest of souls.

Our Lord Jesus has handed over this mission to all TRUE BELIEVERS and to accomplish it, you should do so in the spirit of pure devotion, seeing yourself as God's servant, ever ready to obey the master's command.

You Are God's POLISHED ARROW.

An 'unpolished arrow' wobbles and misses the target, but a polished arrow flies clean.

You are God's SHARP SWORD

A dull sword bounces off the enemy’s armor, but a sharp sword divides the soul and spirit.

Every trial you’ve survived was God polishing you.

Every betrayal was removing rough edges.

Every night you cried alone was God sharpening the sword.

You are not broken; you are being made a threat to the kingdom of darkness.

As Jesus Christ was called from the womb, so were you. You should see yourself in that light as a vessel through whom Jacob will be reconciled with God.

WHAT IS THE CONDITION?

TOTAL SURRENDER

Jesus said, “I will not speak on my own authority, I seek only the glory of Him who sent me.”

The moment personal ambition enters, the arrow bends.

The moment pride enters, the sword gets blunt.

Die to self daily, and the souls of nations will become your inheritance.

As you go in this might, God will be your strength and He will surely provide you with all you need to accomplish this noble mission.

WHAT IS THE PROMISE?

In Jesus' sufferings, God was His strength, seeing Him through the agony, God sent Him an angel from Heaven to strengthen Him.

God's promise to you is “My God Shall be my strength”.

He never calls and then ghosts you.

In Gethsemane an Angel strengthened Him; On the cross, God, the Father sustained Him;

In the tomb the Holy Spirit raised Him; and right now, that same power of resurrection is in YOU.

You will not collapse halfway, you will not run out of grace, you will finish strong and hear “Well done!”

Stop sleeping on your calling. Stop chasing titles while souls are perishing. Stop polishing your CV when God wants you to polish your character. Stop building personal empires while the MASTER'S house is leaking.

Dear Child of God,

Wake up!

The world is waiting for polished arrows who know they were formed in the womb for such a time as this.

Lift your hands wherever you are and shout:

“I was called from the womb! I am God’s servant! I am His sharp sword! I am His polished arrow! The Gentiles are my inheritance! Salvation will reach the ends of the earth through my life! My God shall be my strength, and I will not fail!”

Now go in this might! Preach in the office, school, market place, mall, cafe Pray over the souls languishing in sin, give for the sake of this course until it hurts; Forgive all your offenders, fund that missionary, adopt that orphan;

The quiver is opening. God, the Archer is pulling back the string, about to launch you!

This is HOLINESS CHALLENGE
