THE WISE GROW WISER
(Nuggets from Proverbs 9:9)

WISDOM is not static in nature; it grows and generates more WISDOM. 

Verse 10a highlights the true source and origin of this WISDOM:
 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:"

This shows clearly that the WISE in our context are THOSE WHO FEAR THE LORD, THE RIGHTEOUS, THOSE WHO ABHOR SIN.

The WISE/RIGHTEOUS are those who RECEIVE INSTRUCTION WITH HUMILITY and GRATITUDE, and turn it into PROGRESSIVE GROWTH.

WISDOM has no COMPLETION because it is not a DESTINATION but a LIFE-LONG JOURNEY.

WISDOM is dynamic in nature and you can never have it all at once.
A genuinely wise person is characterized by HUMILITY and an eagerness to LEARN even the minutest details irrespective of who the teacher is.

To the WISE, age is nothing. They are willing to learn from even children.

WISDOM is also displayed in the willingness of an individual to accept CORRECTION and REBUKE. You won't see a WISE PERSON shifting blame or justifying their actions even when they are right or innocent.
The WISE person sees every REBUKE or SCOLDING as a profitable opportunity to GROW

This is the opposite of PRIDE. 
A PROUD person is self-sufficient and will NEVER see the need to LEARN, IMPROVE, or GET BETTER.
Proud people feel they have arrived at their destination already and there's nothing else you tcan ell them that would be more relevant than what they know; unfortunately, the little they think know can be summed up as FOLLY.

"he will be yet wiser"... 
This shows that GROWTH is INEVITABLE for anyone who is oriented toward wisdom. Their appetite and quest for learning is INSATIABLE. 

"Teach the righteous".. 
The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 119 verse 33:
" Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; And I shall keep it unto the end."

 The righteous are ALWAYS APT TO LEARN because they are TEACHABLE. 

Most importantly, they always want to know God's statutes, not for the sake of HEAD KNOWLEDGE, but for APPLICATION in real-life situations. 

This desire to KNOW MORE OF GOD makes them to increase in learning and they never get bored or tired of hearing about God. 
 

CHOOSE THE PATH OF WISDOM AND YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THE GROWTH IN ALL FACETS OF LIFE AND ULTIMATELY DWELL WITH GOD IN ETERNITY.
