(Nuggets from Revelation 19:8)
"And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white;"
Who is John the Beloved referring to here?
Let's take a look at the preceding verse:
Revelation 19:7 AMPC
"Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself." [Ps. 118:24.]
The female character portrayed in today's verse is THE CHURCH, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST.
There is a MARRIAGE SUPPER underway; between the BRIDEGROOM - Jesus Christ our Lord, and His bride - THE CHURCH.
When you hear 'THE CHURCH', please, do not misconstrue it for the physical structure where people gather to worship God.
Don't get it twisted either by thinking that 'THE CHURCH' here refers to the name of your religious organization.
These are misconceptions that have over the decades and centuries made ignorant people to bastardize the word 'CHURCH', making it lose it's real ESSENCE and VALUE as BODY OF CHRIST.
Anyone who has been CONVERTED, REGENERATED and RECONCILED with God, having accepted Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and personal savior and living a HOLY LIFE everyday, is an INTEGRAL PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST and can be classified as THE BRIDE OF CHRIST.
The FINE LINEN of the BRIDE is the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the SAINTS, not GOOD WORKS.
GOOD WORKS or SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS cannot RECOMMEND or JUSTIFY you before God, that is why you need to have a PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS CHRIST.
The scripture says that "our RIGHTEOUSNESS is like FILTHY RAGS before God."
Any regenerated child of God is the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST and Christ's righteousness can be likened to FINE LINEN, CLEAN and WHITE because of its SPOTLESS PURITY.
ANYONE ARRAYED IN THIS FINE LINEN, CLEAN AND WHITE, STANDS BEFORE GOD BLAMELESS, WITHOUT SPOT AND BLEMISH, FAULTLESS BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD.
THIS SHOULD BE YOUR RESOLVE GOING FORWARD.
