THE SOUL THAT LONGS FOR GOD
(Nuggets from Psalm 63:8)
Revelation 4:11 tells us the main purpose of our creation - FOR THE PLEASURE OF GOD. God desires to look at His creation and feel proud that He made them in His image and likeness.
The human soul needs spiritual food to thrive just as the body needs food to survive. But there’s only one energy source that can completely nourish, satisfy, empower, and sustain us: relationship with the living God.
The soul is eternal but dwelling in temporal mortal bodies, and it is designed to be in constant communion with God through worship. Created in God’s image, we long to be connected to the One who made us and knows us best just as children long to be connected to their parents.
In a bid to ensure that your soul longs for God consistently, the more aware you become of your desire to love, serve, and obey God, the more likely you are suffer the consequences of living in a fallen world filled with sinful people.
We say we want closeness with God, but when we have free time, we scroll through our phones endlessly;
We say we want His peace, but we get distracted so easily;
We say we want His presence, but we wait until we’re drained or desperate before we run back to Him;
The truth is that you can't long for God if there is no desire to build intimacy with Him.
INTIMACY WITH GOD IS POSSIBLE.
It’s not reserved for Pastors, Bishops, Prophets or Apostles.
It’s for YOU, and it starts with one thing: INTENTIONALITY.
This is HOLINESS CHALLENGE
