WHAT DOES THE SUFFERING OF CHRIST MEAN TO YOU? (DAY 128 OF 365)

WHAT DOES THE SUFFERING OF CHRIST MEAN TO YOU?
(Nuggets from 1 Peter 4:1)

Jesus Christ our Lord suffered in the flesh, He went through all the pain: the agony in the Garden, the ridicule and contempt by the Roman soldiers, the crucifixion, and ultimate death on the cross. Understanding the EXTENT and ESSENCE of the SUFFERING of Jesus Christ whilst in the flesh, should ARM ANY TRUE BELIEVER, and give you confidence that your VICTORY OVER THE FLESH IS POSSIBLE.

Jesus died to destroy sin; and though he cheerfully submitted to the worst of sufferings, yet he never gave way to sin, no matter how insignificant it seemed. He was TEMPTED, but TEMPTATION could not prevail.

As a TRUE CHRISTIAN, your primary duty should be to SAFEGUARD YOUR SALVATION by keeping away from and AVOIDING anything that  has the propensity of leading you to sin.

1st Peter 3:18 tells us that "Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit." This means that the suffering of Christ on the cross was but for one purpose - FOR THE SINS OF HUMANITY. However any Christian who chooses to continue in sin will suffer for the sins they indulge in.

A SINNER is not a CHRISTIAN and a Christian is not a sinner. You can't be both at the same time, and today's scripture has made it clear that since Jesus had already suffered in the FLESH, you as a child of God should automatically be entitled to freedom from sin.

You don't have to atone for those sins you have confessed, forsaken, and rejected; the blood of Jesus Christ will atone for you, provides you TRULY REPENTED.

In summary, God expects you to be CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST, reckon yourself as dead with Christ and raised with Him in Newness of life, a life VOID OF SIN.

LIVE WITH THIS CONSCIOUSNESS AND ENJOY A VICTORIOUS NEW LIFE IN CHRIST.
