WHO GETS GOD'S ATTENTION? (DAY 123 OF 365)

WHO GETS GOD'S ATTENTION?
(Nuggets from John 9:31)

Today's scripture tells us about the people God gives His attention - HIS WORSHIPERS.

Worshiping God is different from calling on Him in prayer. Singing worship songs to God is not what worship is all about, neither is praying and exalting Him all that worship entails. You worship God in TRUTH AND IN SPIRIT.

OBEYING GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS
is an act of WORSHIP and reverence to God. Before you call on Him, you must be sure that there is no iota of sin in your life, because GOD DOES NOT HEAR SINNERS.

All of mankind after Adam and Eve were and are and will be born as SINNERS, but God made a provision for us to reconcile us to Himself, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ His only begotten son on the cross of Calvary.

God does not hear sinners, but He hears those who repent and call on Him in the name of Jesus, because the blood of Jesus shed on the cross of Calvary was not for saints, but for sinners.

God does not hear the prayer of sinners who willfully remain in sin, but he will hear the prayer of anyone who is repentant and believes in His son Jesus, only such people will enjoy the dividends of the transaction that took place at Calvary.

There are people who are only interested in going to church and bearing the title 'CHRISTIAN' but remain adamant in sin; sin reigns in such people. Those are the people God can never give His attention to.

But if any man be a worshiper of God; fears the Lord, and worships Him in spirit and in truth, both with internal and external worship; and does His will; then will He hear and answer them.

God is not interested in people that draw near to Him with their lips but whose hearts are far away from Him.

Prophet Isaiah wrote in chapter 59, verses 1 and 2:

"Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

Sin is the only thing that demarcates and builds a wall of partition between us and God, and no sinner deserves His attention, but all those who resolve to live Holily and fear God in their secret place, in their hearts continuously will have God's attention at all times.

HEARING is a present continuous tense, meaning that God will always give such people UNDIVIDED ATTENTION.

WHAT AN HONOR, PRIVILEGE AND BLESSING IT IS TO HAVE GOD'S ATTENTION ALWAYS!
