THE NATION THAT FAILS TO SERVE THE LORD - Nuggets from Isaiah 60:12

ISAIAH 60:12

In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to NEVER REJECT GOD'S SERVICE; DEVOTE YOURSELF AND SERVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT, STRENGTH AND ENTIRE BEING IN YOUR LIFETIME.

The first 11 verses of the Book of Isaiah chapter 60 proclaimed BLESSINGS, but verse 12 happens to be a sharp contrast to the previous verses. God proclaimed BLESSINGS to the erstwhile apostate Israel who returned to God after being obstinate for a while. They returned to the God of their Fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and through Prophet Isaiah, God made known His promises to them.

However, God needed to also show them the other side of the coin by giving a stern warning to everyone who decides not to SERVE Him, and by extension, this warning goes out to everyone in our generation today.

Serving God in this context is not just about getting involved in some work or service in God's house (the church/christian community). The BEST SERVICE you can render to God is HONOUR HIM by OBEYING HIS COMMANDMENTS, AVOIDING EVERY FORM OF SIN, and FOSTERING A LIFE OF HOLINESS & RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Remember what Samuel the Prophet told Saul in 1 Samuel 15:22, from the NLT Translation:
"But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams."

God is not interested in those services you are rendering in His house if you are not ready to OBEY HIM and live a HOLY LIFE.

Any service you render to God in disobedience and rebellion is a disservice to yourself because God will never acknowledge such

Align your LIFE, PASSIONS, PURSUITS and ASPIRATIONS with God's will and you will NEVER regret it both now and in eternity.

FAITHFULNESS AND OBEDIENCE TO GOD BRINGS BLESSINGS, WHILE DISOBEDIENCE AND REBELLION BRINGS REJECTION FROM GOD AND ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION IN ETERNITY.

WILL JESUS FIND YOU WITHOUT SPOT OR BLEMISH? - Nuggets from 2 Peter 3:14

2 PETER 3:14

In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO SEE THAT CHRIST JESUS FINDS YOU WITHOUT SPOT OR BLEMISH WHEN HE RETURNS TO TAKE HIS CHURCH.

MANY are CALLED, but FEW are CHOSEN.

Not every 'CHRISTIAN' is anticipating the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today's scripture addresses every TRUE BELIEVER who is anticipating the second coming of our Lord Jesus and looking forward to experience the NEW HEAVEN and the NEW EARTH, when Christ will come and set up His Kingdom with all Saints reigning with Him.

What a glorious moment it will be!

To be found in PEACE means that you have a PEACEFUL RELATIONSHIP with God and men.
You don't keep malice or hold grudges against people, you forgive readily and you have no ENEMIES.

You can't be at PEACE with God when you have your fellow brothers or sisters as ENEMIES.
Be an Agent of Peace and a Peacemaker, not a sower of discord amongst brethren.

"Follow PEACE with ALL men, and HOLINESS, without which, no man shall see the Lord."

This is a command, not a plea.
Only those who obey this injunction are qualified to see Him.

Just like the old testament era, God gave specific instructions in the Book of Leviticus about the kind of sacrifices the High Priest would offer to Him in the temple, the animals for sacrifice must be such that have no blemish or fault.

God demonstrated His love for SPOTLESSNESS when He sacrificed His ONLY begotten son WHO HAD NO SIN. It follows therefore that if you MUST come and join Him in Heaven, you must also offer up yourself as Apostle Paul recommended in Romans 12:1,

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

This sacrifice MUST be SPOTLESS and ACCEPTABLE to God, the BEST service you can ever render to yourself.

IF JESUS WERE TO COME TODAY, WILL HE FIND YOU SPOTLESS AND BLAMELESS?

DEAL WITH THOSE SPOTS TODAY SO THEY DON'T DEAL WITH YOU AND DENY YOU ETERNITY WITH CHRIST AT LAST.

THE PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE - Nuggets from Matthew 24:32-33

MATTHEW 24:32-33

In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to TAKE NOTE OF ALL THE SIGNS OF THE END TIME THAT YOU’RE SEEING NOW AND LIVE IN COMPLETE READINESS OF HIS (JESUS) COMING.

Jesus gave a parable of the Fig tree, likening it to His second coming. He spoke of how the tree responds to times and seasons, making it easy for human to detect the times and seasons they’re into or about to get into.

The signs from the fig tree passes the message clearly, by observing the changes, you'd get to know that it is summer, winter, spring or autumn (Harvest season). In like manner, Jesus told His disciples and is telling us by extension today that there are occurrences we would see at the end to signal us that we have approached the end already.

The wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, diseases, Persecution of Christians, etc. It is no longer news that these signs are here with us already as Jesus foretold.

These signs are everywhere, we can feel it just like the birth-pangs experienced by an expectant mother about to be delivered of her bundle of joy, the frequency of these signs is ALARMING.

THE END IS HERE!!

It’s closer than we could ever imagine. There's no more time to waste, this is the one and only chance we've got to make necessary amends with God and prepare for His coming.

This is not a time to snooze in your HOLINESS journey, it's not a time sit on the fence or stand aloof.

With less than 30 seconds to midnight, how ready are you for the long-awaited sound of the trumpet heralding the Rapture?

Your status the moment the trumpet sounds will define your eternal destiny.

THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS IS HERE!!

HONOUR THAT COMES FROM GOD ALONE - Nuggets from John 5:44

JOHN 5:44

In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to SEEK PRAISE FROM GOD ALONE AND NOT FROM MEN.

Jesus said, "How can you believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?" As followers of Christ, our FOCUS should be on pleasing GOD rather than seeking validation from people.

This is important because GOD'S praise and approval are what truly count. When we prioritize God's approval, we align our lives with His will and purposes.

Seeking praise from men can only but lead to people-pleasing, compromise and hypocrisy.
This can cause one to stay from God's path and lose effectiveness as witnesses for Christ.

Note that; When your SELF-WORTH is tied to human praise, you become vulnerable to INSECURITY and INSTABILITY.

ARE YOU SEEKING PRAISE FROM GOD OR MEN? Take time to examine your heart and motives.

RATHER THAN SEEKING HUMAN PRAISES, ASK GOD TO GIVE YOU A DEEPER DESIRE TO PLEASE HIM AND SEEK HIS PRAISE.
