EPHESIANS 4:17
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to NEVER BEHAVE LIKE AN UNBELIEVER THROUGH YOUR LIFESTYLE OR ATTITUDE, AVOID EVERY FORM OF VANITY AND PURSUE A PURPOSEFUL LIFE.
Apostle Paul saw the need to admonish the Ephesian brethren to never behave as Gentiles who were only interested in vain things.
The city of Ephesus at that time, was preoccupied with religious and cultural practices as well as idolatry.
The Ephesians primarily practiced the worship of pagan deities, even though some were later converted to Christianity.
These ungodly acts they indulged in influenced the church in Ephesus to a very large extent that they later experienced a serious decline, which made Paul caution them.
The church of today is facing similar challenges and even worse because these are the perilous times the Bible talked about.
The church now wants to blend and become like the world. Worldliness has crept into the church and is gradually eroding morality to a point of extinction.
