JOHN 8:29
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to ALWAYS DO THE WILL OF GOD, PLEASE HIM AT ALL TIMES AND HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE.
It is possible that so many Christians are merely pleasing God not because they want to, but because they are just interested in the blessing attached.
Let it not be that you are you pleasing God primarily because you don't want Him to leave you alone, but because you know that pleasing God is your responsibility and not a means to an end.
Please God and do His will because you honour and have reverential fear for Him. Every other thing will fall in place automatically.
Jesus Christ our Lord was very sure that God was with Him because He did God's will without coercion. He didn't need anyone to remind Him to please God.
God was with Him and that was why He was able to accomplish His mission of saving mankind from eternal damnation. Even when satan thought that Jesus' death was a sign of defeat, he never knew that was the beginning of his (satan's) end.
Today, I urge you to please God whether anyone is watching you or not, whether your parents, pastors or guardians are watching you or not.
Be like Jesus who did it all for you.
Be like Joseph who pleased God even in a foreign land where no one knew Him.
No one may know you there, but GOD KNOWS YOU irrespective of your location.
BE LIKE JESUS, BE LIKE JOSEPH.
