DAY 101 OF 365
2 THESSALONIANS 2:2
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to NEVER BE DECEIVED OR FRIGHTENED BY TEACHINGS FROM FALSE PROPHETS WHO TEND TO DECEIVE AND CONFUSE YOU ABOUT THE DAY OF THE COMING OF THE LORD.
This letter to the church in Thessalonica was written in AD51, approximately 1974 years ago (2025 -51 = 1974).
Even after two millennia, it is still very relevant today. At the time He was addressing the church 1974 years ago, there were false preachers and teachers who deceived the ignorant Christians and made them believe that Jesus Christ had returned already. This made them scared and apprehensive, so unsettled that they felt they had missed the GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD.
Apostle Paul needed to step in and clarify this, to make them remain calm and unshaken in their Faith and urge them to keep preparing for the coming of Jesus.
Fast-forward to 2025, almost 2000 years later, some would say: "The Day of the Lord has not come since then, maybe He won't come again after all."
Others will call it a Fable or such a big joke, but God's word is sacrosanct irrespective of whatever ideologies exist out there - JESUS IS COMING SOON, TO TAKE HIS BRIDE (THE CHURCH) AWAY FROM THIS DECAYED WORLD.
There is no specific date mentioned, but the signs Jesus talked about are playing before our very eyes, pointing to the fact that finally, THE DAY OF THE LORD IS NEAR AND ALMOST HERE.
This is not a time to lose focus or engage in frivolous and ephemeral things. It is time to prepare for the exit of the Church which will pave the way for the ANTI-CHRIST and the GREAT TRIBULATION.
The truth remains that MANY CHRISTIANS WILL THINK THEY HAVE ALL THE TIME, and unfortunately, if they don't read the handwriting on the wall, they will miss the rapture.
Don't be like the 5 FOOLISH VIRGINS who had equal opportunity with the 5 WISE VIRGINS, but due to carelessness, didn't see the need to take enough oil for their lamps whilst they waited for the marriage supper of the Bridegroom.
LEARN FROM PAST MISTAKES AND REDEEM THE TIME, WAITING PATIENTLY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD!
