DAY 47 OF 365
PSALM 139:23
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to ASK THE LORD TO SCRUTINIZE YOUR LIFE, THOUGHT, AND ACTIONS.
The heart of man, inherently wicked, conceives evil and seeks personal gain, inheriting this nature from our first father, Adam.
As children of God, saved and redeemed by His grace, we must grant Him access to our hearts, asking Him to take full control. This introspection can only be achieved through the word of God.
The purification of our hearts occurs when we allow God's word to take root, transforming our lives. God's word is like a refiner, purifying our hearts.
To achieve holiness and right standing with God, we must daily surrender to God's word, asking Him to work on our hearts. When we hear His word, we must not exempt ourselves, but rather meditate carefully, seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance to identify and eliminate any evil or faulty ways.
What do you do with the words you hear today? Do you engage in daily self examination through God's word? Are you committed to studying and meditating on His word?
The word of God is the only antidote to daily and thorough purification.
