2 PETER 2:13
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to AVOID EVERY EVIL DEED AND INDULGENCE IN WORLDLY PURSUIT, BECAUSE ALL SUCH PEOPLE WILL RECEIVE THE REWARD FOR THEIR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
Sin leads to destruction, little wonder Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Rome, telling them that THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. The death in this context is not PHYSICAL DEATH per se, it refers to DOOM, SEPARATION FROM GOD and ETERNAL DAMNATION.
God will punish every act of unrighteousness because He is a Holy God and His STANDARD of HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS has never and will never change.
We are called to avoid those who take pleasure and delight in doing abominable things, prioritizing LUXURY over their ETERNAL DESTINY. Such people who are more concerned about TRANSIENT PLEASURE but have little or no time to ponder on their fate in eternity.
This verse also highlights the activities of FALSE TEACHERS who take delight in deceiving people, twisting the gospel and churning out lies that people want to hear to remain comfortable in sin. Such people and all they successfully deceived will not be spared by God on Judgment day.
The Gospel is not supposed to make you feel comfortable in sin. The Gospel is not supposed to be 'sugarcoated' or filled with oratory.
It is neither a motivational nor inspirational book written by some best-selling authors.
The Bible is God's word which is inspired by God and tells us His mind and directs us on how to live our lives here on earth to be qualified to be with Him in eternity.
The Bible tells you WHAT YOU NEED TO HEAR and not WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR.
LIVE WITH THIS CONSCIOUSNESS AND AVOID ANYONE OR ANYTHING THAT WANTS TO DESTROY YOUR SOUL IN ETERNITY.
