ROMANS 8:7
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to QUIT EVERY CARNAL-MINDEDNESS AND SUBMIT YOURSELF TO THE AUTHORITY OF GOD, READY TO OBEY HIS INJUNCTIONS AND COMPLY WITH HIS STANDARDS.
The human mind, by default, focuses on fleshly and worldly desires. This is why everyone who has identified with Christ needs a change of mind.
There is a CONSTANT BATTLE between the HUMAN MIND and GOD'S WILL. This is because a mind that is preoccupied with the FLESH is at odds with the principles of God and His STANDARDS of HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS which are sacrosanct.
A carnal mind is the mind of the FLESH, a depraved mind that displays the nasty Adamic nature.
This is a mind that has not been REGENERATED, a mind that is yet to be convicted.
The carnal mind is an untreated, worldly mind inclined to things that have no eternal consequence. Such a mind is laden with SIN and multiple vices.
The carnal mind is a mind filled with all the WORKS OF THE FLESH, a mind that has the propensity to exhibit the PROPERTIES OF SATAN.
Apostle Paul needed to enlighten the Christians in Rome on the need for a spiritual renewal and a reliance on the Holy Spirit to overcome the limitations of the carnal mind and to live in a way that pleases God.
In other words, you cannot have a carnal mind and please God at the same time.
You may have found yourself in this precarious situation, possessing a carnal mind, but there is hope for you today. All you need to do is to denounce satan, his activities, his cohorts and all indulgences that have made you a slave to him, and welcome Jesus into your life today, invite the Holy Spirit to circumcise your heart and give you a new heart - A SPIRITUALLY-MINDED HEART.
Pledge your allegiance to Jesus Christ alone and invite Him to come and become the captain of your life and the Bishop and Shepherd of your soul.
MAKE A COMMITMENT TO GOD TODAY TO SUBMIT TO HIS WILL FOR EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE.
