1 CORINTHIANS 13:2
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to SEEK CHARITY BY EVERY MEANS POSSIBLE BECAUSE WITHOUT IT, OTHER VIRTUES AND GIFTS ARE WORTHLESS.
Love has many definitions, but our focus in today's text is AGAPE LOVE, also known as CHARITY. This Love is solely modeled by Jesus Christ our Lord.
For you to understand what this Love is, you should first of all understand what it is not.
AGAPE LOVE is not SELFISH.
AGAPE LOVE is not MALICIOUS.
AGAPE LOVE is not GREEDY.
AGAPE LOVE is not UNGRATEFUL.
AGAPE LOVE is not PRETENTIOUS.
AGAPE LOVE is not IMPLACABLE.
AGAPE LOVE is not TRICKY.
AGAPE LOVE is not JEALOUS.
If what you call 'LOVE' has any of these as an undertone, then you are totally bereft of AGAPE LOVE.
AGAPE LOVE is PATIENT, KIND, SELFLESS, ENDURING, and encapsulates all the ENTIRETY OF THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.
WITHOUT LOVE, YOU ARE NOTHING!
WITHOUT LOVE, YOU HAVE NOTHING!
But, WITH LOVE, YOU HAVE EVERYTHING!
It is possible to have the GIFTS of the Spirit like Prophecy, Discernment, Speaking and Interpretation of Tongues and Healing but devoid of LOVE.
It is possible to manifest and wield Faith without having Love within.
For you to have this LOVE, you must Love God by honouring Him with your lifestyle, and Love your fellow brother/sister by fostering PEACE and HARMONY within your community, locality and everywhere you are.
Remember, OBEDIENCE is better than SACRIFICE! Before you start pointing accusing fingers at someone else, please look inwards and search yourself.
If you can't excuse one another, how do you expect God to excuse you or show you mercy?
CHARITY/AGAPE LOVE is ACTIVE and PRACTICAL. God always uses situations around us to test us and know if we truly have this LOVE.
If you are tested and tried today, will you pass?
GIVE UP EVERY PRIDE, AND ASK THE LORD TO GIVE YOU AGAPE LOVE TODAY.
