LUKE 1:17
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to ASK GOD TO USE YOU TO PROPAGATE THE GOSPEL IN A WAY THAT WILL TURN HEARTS BACK TO GOD AND PREPARE THEM FOR THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
John the Gospel played a pivotal role in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. As the fore-runner, He heralded the First coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, fulfilling the Old Testament prophecy of Elijah's return before the Messiah. (Malachi 4:5-6)
John's mission was to prepare the people for Jesus by turning their hearts toward God, and he did so with the spirit and power of Elijah.
John's coming was revealed and his mission was made known, showing clearly, a powerful preacher who was coming to rebuke sin and call people to repentance, as Elijah did.
Now, you and I are called to fulfill this same ministry of John the Baptist, but this time around, we are heralding THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
We are to go out there and preach the Gospel to everyone, let the adamant know the consequences of their actions and let every sinner know that Jesus still saves.
Reconcile them back to God and prepare them for the imminent coming of our Lord Jesus.
THE HARVEST IS READY, BUT WHERE ARE THE HARVESTERS?
PUT YOUR SICKLE TO WORK AND WIN THEM, ONE SOUL AT A TIME.
