REVELATION 3:19
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to ACCEPT THE CHASTENING OF THE LORD WITH JOY, AND UNDERSTAND THAT GOD REBUKES ONLY THOSE HE LOVES; SERVE HIM WITH ZEAL AND QUIT EVERY LIFE OF INDIFFERENCE.
God doesn't correct everyone out there.
While some Christians are busy trying to please God in their daily lives, others prefer to remain adamant and grow thick skin instead, displaying indifference and a lackluster attitude towards God and things of eternal consequence.
God's commandments and injunctions are incontrovertible. They have remained the same from eternity past till now and will remain the same till eternity to come.
Passage of time CAN NEVER make God bend His laws or dilute His commandments to suit anyone.
If God decides to rebuke you instead of punishing you outright, count yourself FORTUNATE & BLESSED, because it is a rare privilege.
God does not necessarily need to come down from Heaven and rebuke you. He uses His vessels and servants, Pastors, Ministers, Genuine Prophets, and every other vessel He deems fit.
We have to own up and never justify our actions or try to give a rationale behind our misdemeanor. If God catches you in the act and reprimands you, be BROKEN IN SPIRIT, REPENT and COUNT IT JOY.
Just as a child who never gets rebuked by the parents will end up being a nuisance to the society, any Christian or Child of God who never gets rebuked by God is not a TRUE CHILD of His and as such, can never be a pride to the Kingdom.
HAVE A CHANGE OF ATTITUDE TOWARDS CORRECTION AND BE GRATEFUL WHENEVER YOU ARE REBUKED.
