PHILIPPIANS 3:12
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to PRESS ON AND LAY HOLD OF THAT FOR WHICH CHRIST LAID HOLD OF YOU AND MADE YOU HIS OWN.
Apostle Paul was not speaking from the perspective of someone who has arrived or attained a level of perfection. He was speaking from the point of view of someone who was striving to be a better person, seeking to be perfect.
Today you are urged to take a cue from His lifestyle and ask yourself this question: what efforts am I making to press on and never lose that for which Jesus called me and died for me?
It is not a light thing that you are saved. Not everyone has this privilege, but you do. Count it an honour and appreciate God for calling you.
Remember that it is God's duty to call you but it is your duty to remain CALLED and get qualified to be CHOSEN, because, not all who are called will eventually be chosen; hence, the statement of Apostle Paul.
May God give you the grace to justify your calling and qualify to be chosen by Him at last.
