ACCESSING GOD'S SANCTUARY
(Nuggets from Ezekiel 44:9)
In the old testament, God gave the priests specific instructions on how to carry out their sacred duties while serving in such a capacity that is not meant for everyone.
At a time, the Levites saddled with the responsibility of priesthood turned far away from God and they were severely punished by being stripped of their priestly status and assigned menial tasks in the Temple, such as guarding the gates, helping with Temple chores, serving the people, and killing animals for sacrifices.
The LEVITES were also made to bear the "punishment of their iniquity" for causing others in the land of Israel to stumble by abandoning their role as teachers of God's law and turning to idolatry.
God fired them from the priesthood, stating they would no longer serve in the Holy Place or come into His presence to care for His Holy things.
In like manner, passage of time cannot and will never change God's standard.
Anyone who is estranged from God can NEVER come into His sanctuary.
The ESTRANGED are the UNCIRCUMCISED in heart, impervious to the point that nothing affects the heart such an individual, no remorse for sins and insensitivity to the things of God.
Anyone who still indulges or practices sin is regarded as an UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART.
Until you submit your heart for circumcision, until you encounter Christ at Salvation, until you have confessed, forsaken and rejected your sins and obtained forgiveness from God, until you abandon all those idols and sinful habits, you will remain UNQUALIFIED to access God's sanctuary.
God's sanctuary here is not the physical temple, but His secret place, where you converse with Him at the altar of prayer.
An UNCIRCUMCISED HEART cannot get God's attention; have your heart circumcised today and you will have unrestricted access to God's presence.
