PROVERBS 13:20
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to ASSOCIATE WITH THE WISE AND BECOME WISE; AVOID THOSE WHO ARE VOID OF UNDERSTANDING SO YOU DON'T SUFFER HARM.
The WISE here are those who FEAR the Lord.
You can't talk about WISDOM without the fear of God in the picture. King Solomon said "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom."
If you fear God, you will also ensure you walk with those who FEAR GOD.
You are a reflection of the people you surround yourself with. There's nothing wrong with being selective and reserved in choosing your circle of friends.
If you follow, associate, and mingle with wise people, over time, you'd become wise too, but when you choose to follow those who are bereft of understanding (FOOLISH and never acknowledging their depth of ignorance), you'd gradually degenerate and become like them.
You are responsible for your choice of friends or acquaintances, don't allow anyone to tell you otherwise.
Peer pressure and negative influence has a way of pushing you against your will, because you desire to fit in, you want to belong, be accepted and avoid social exclusion.
Don't get yourself destroyed in a bid to please anyone, dissociate from every UNGODLY FRIENDSHIP and ELECT to be WISE for the rest of your life.
