PSALM 111:10
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to FEAR THE LORD AND YOU WILL BE ENDOWED WITH WISDOM; OBEY GOD'S COMMANDMENTS AND YOU WILL HAVE UNDERSTANDING.
The FEAR OF GOD in this context does not mean that you are literally 'SCARED OF GOD', it refers to REVERENCE, HONOR and RESPECT for the person of God which would eventually translate into obedience to His injunctions and doing His will at all times.
Anyone who lacks the fear of God is definitely not wise. Every person who willfully commits sin, despite knowing that God detests such is FOOLISH, because such a person doesn't acknowledge the person of God.
The FEAR OF GOD means that your RESPECT and REGARD for God is SECOND TO NONE. It means you are ready to PUT GOD FIRST in everything you do.
When you fear God, you don't obey Him seasonally or only when you feel like it, you make it a point of duty.
Wisdom and understanding work hand in hand, and they can only be activated when you FEAR GOD.
We live in a world where the FEAR OF GOD is far fetched and the few people who do so get ridiculed, but you must resolve to remain tranquil in the midst of all oppositions you face whilst doing God's will.
MAY THE LORD GIVE YOU THE GRACE TO FEAR, HONOR AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS ALWAYS.
