DAY 211 OF 365
JOHN 11:25
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST AND YOU WILL HAVE BE A BENEFICIARY OF HIS RESURRECTION AND ETERNAL LIFE.
Jesus needed to clear the doubt in the heart of Martha who had already given up and thought her brother Lazarus would never get a chance to live again, even after Jesus had told her that her brother would rise again.
Martha just knew Jesus as their LORD and MASTER, but couldn't come to terms with the fact that He could make her brother live again.
Jesus had to tell her in CLEAR TERMS that He is the RESURRECTION and the LIFE, that whosoever believes in Him, though He were dead (physically), would definitely live again (in eternity).
Jesus was talking of the RESURRECTION of the saints here.
RESURRECTION is the end of death, consequently, death has no more power over the REDEEMED who died in Christ, it has done all it can do; IT IS FINISHED!
Jesus is using this verse to encourage us all today who may be in Martha's shoes, probably grieving over the death of a loved one, that provided they slept in Christ, they have been redeemed, and death has no power over them again, because in the resurrection morning, they will RESURRECT and we who are alive will reunite with them as we meet with our Lord in the skies.
This ASSURANCE should make every child of God to cheer up, knowing that DEATH has nothing on you.
"Whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life" - John 3:16
"He that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."
CHEER UP AND LOOK FORWARD TO THAT RESURRECTION MORNING; AND DON'T STOP BELIEVING THE LORD.
