Hebrews 6:11
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to STIR UP YOUR ZEAL, MOTIVATE YOURSELF AND KEEP PERSEVERING TILL YOUR HOPE IN CHRIST IS FULFILLED WHEN THE JOURNEY IS OVER.
The journey to Heaven can be likened to a marathon race.
Everyone starts the race, a great multitude geared up and ready to run the entire length of 42.2KM and win the prize at the end, but unfortunately, many fall away as the race gets tougher.
Those who prepared and trained for months and even years don't give up so quickly; they don't even want to take any chances because the time, energy and resources invested in the preparation wouldn't go down the drain just like that.
On the other hand, those who just came around to join the multitude and run for running sake are the ones who fall away so quickly because they have nothing at stake, they never trained or invested any time or resources in preparation for the race.
In like manner, MANY start the Heavenly race, but sadly, FEW will continue and persevere till the end. Little wonder Jesus our Lord said that "Many are called, but few are chosen."
Running this race takes DILIGENCE on your part and what should fuel your passion to continue is the prize at stake - A CROWN OF GLORY.
DON'T BE LIKE THOSE WHO JOINED A MARATHON TO STOP HALFWAY; SET YOUR EYES ON THE GOAL AND DO NOT STOP UNTIL YOU BREAK THE RIBBON AT THE FINISH LINE.
