MATTHEW 12:18
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to BE A TRUE SERVANT LIKE JESUS CHRIST WHO GOD CHOSE AND WAS DELIGHTED IN; BUILD A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND FOLLOW THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS.
Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour took upon Himself the form of a HUMBLE SERVANT and didn't count it as though he was robbed of His position and status as the second person in trinity, being equal with God the Father. Jesus chose to become a mortal man and a servant.
He was chosen by God but ironically REJECTED BY THE MEN for whom He came to suffer and die.
Just as the desire and goal of Jesus was to please God the Father and not man, every TRUE BELIEVER is being encouraged today to PRIORITISE PLEASING GOD and not man, in all you do.
Let your focus be on God's approval, not the validation of men.
God released His Holy Spirit upon Jesus Christ for the task and responsibility He saddled Him with; Jesus needed that empowerment to sustain Him whilst He tarried here on earth, going about His God-given mission.
In like manner, God cannot call you without giving you a significant measure of His Holy Spirit because He knows the task ahead, He understands the challenges and hurdles on this pilgrim journey and He will never leave you without a COMFORTER.
Showing Judgment to the Gentiles meant that Christ would be a means of light and salvation to the 'universal church of today', His coming to this world brought salvation to the Jews and Gentiles (the church), but God wouldn't wait for the Jews who rejected the offer of salvation, hence His attention and focus on the church now.
You should take advantage of this offer of salvation because God's grace will be terminated the moment the church is taken away from this world at the rapture, and God will then focus on His chosen people - The Jews once again.
If you are saved already, just as Jesus was a light to the Gentiles, you should also be a light to every unsaved person around you, who is not yet saved, and keep shining your light wherever you go till they come to the knowledge of the truth.
BE LIKE JESUS, DON'T FORGET THE MISSION, AND GOD WILL EQUIP YOU WITH ALL YOU NEED TO FULFILL YOUR CALLING.
