DAY 218 of 365
PSALMS 26:4
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to AVOID THOSE WHO ARE DECEITFUL.
Those who are vain persons and dissemblers are deceitful and hypocrites. You have to make conscious decision to distance yourself from those who are dishonest and intentionally misleading by not having any form of fellowship, relationship or shared activity.
You also have to distance yourself from those who live the hypocritical lifestyle. They pretend to have virtues, morals, principles, etc, that they do not posses. They are insincere and fake. This set of people are everywhere even in church and they pose to be what they're not. Living a "double standard" life. Those who hear the word but doesn't put what they hear into practice.
As Christians, you're called to be in the world but not of it. This means you can interact with everyone, but you're cautioned about forming close relationships with those who live deceitful lives. This doesn't mean we shun non-believers, but it does mean you should be cautious about becoming deeply involved with those who are intentionally dishonest or whose lives are marked by hypocrisy.
ARE YOU LIVING AUTHENTICALLY, OR ARE YOU PUTTING ON A SHOW?
Just as the psalmist did, you have to maintain moral purity. You have to actively avoid those who actions or words are not genuine, you have to be committed to living a life of honesty and avoiding the negative influence of those who are deceitful or insincere.
