2 Peter 1:10
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to LIVE OUT YOUR FAITH WITH DILIGENCE AND PURPOSE, CONFIRMING YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION BY LIVING A LIFE THAT REFLECTS GOD'S HOLINESS.
Apostle Peter was/is urging believers to make effort to confirm their calling and elections.
This means, demonstrating the reality of their faith through good deeds and a life that reflects God's Holiness.
However, this doesn't imply that our salvation is uncertain or dependent on our works. Instead, it's about confirming the genuineness of our faith to ourselves and others.
Validating our calling involves living a life that REFLECTS God's purpose and will. While Election in this context refers to God's sovereign choice to save us, which is already sure, as stated in Romans 8;29-30.
This understanding has a significant implication in our lives. We should actively pursue spiritual growth and maturity through a diligent pursuit of God's will. Verifying our CALLING and ELECTION leads to a DEEPER and more FRUITFUL relationship with God. Living out our faith with diligence and purpose gives us confidence in our salvation.
It is certain that when we do these, we will never STUMBLE or FALL.
Therefore, as we strive to diligently justify our calling and election, we must remember that it's a journey, not a destination. It's a process of growing in faith, wisdom and obedience to God's word.
Today, I challenge you to, PROVE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION BY LIVING OUT YOUR FAITH AUTHENTICALLY.
