ROMANS 8:9
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST DWELLING RICHLY IN YOU TO BE IDENTIFIED AS HIS TRUE FOLLOWER.
Believers in Christ Jesus are not controlled by their sinful nature (the flesh) but are instead led by the Holy Spirit. Those who are true followers of Christ are easily identified by the indwelling of His Spirit in them. Meaning, those that do not have His Spirit are not His true followers (They are not of Him).
There's a big difference between those who are led by the flesh and those who are led by the Holy Spirit. The FLESH has no good intention for you. It is at war with you on daily basis and it is responsible for the downfall of many Christians today, old and young alike. The flesh wants you to please the devil and go against God's injunctions, hence the evil trends the devil has projected into the world today to help in the propagation of these fleshly desires.
Having the SPIRIT of Christ should be the GOAL of every GENUINE BELIEVER. When you are filled with His spirit, you will seek to do only things that pleases God, always detesting the flesh and all its works. Your WORDS, ACTIONS, THOUGHTS, CHARACTER, and HABITS would glorify God as you live an exemplary life in the universities, secondary schools, at work or anywhere you find yourself.
So, why not tell the Lord to fill you with His Spirit already for it's His promise to us that "He will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh."
HE DID IT IN THE DAYS OF OLD, HE WILL DO IT AGAIN!
