DAY 237 OF 365
1 CORINTHIANS 10:20
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to FLEE FROM EVERY FROM OF IDOLATRY AND LIVE FOR THE ONE TRUE GOD.
This was Apostle Paul's warning against Idol worship, emphasizing the reality that as followers of Christ, we are called to exclusive devotion to God.
Participating in activities or behaviors that involve idolatry or pagan practices is incompatible with our relationship with Christ.
An Idol is ANYTHING you place above God in your life (making God secondary in your life).
Consider those areas where you may be indulging in things that shouldn't have a place in a Christian's life. An Idol in this context doesn't necessarily mean a Golden statue or a molten calf, but things that take greater part of your time at the expense of God's place.
It could be your beauty, career, fashion, friends/acquaintances, unhealthy relationships and ties, TV shows, movies, immoral addictions or indiscriminate use of social media.
Placing any of these or more above God is IDOLATRY which provokes the Lord.
You cannot serve two masters at the same time; God demands undivided attention from you and if you have anything else you pledge your allegiance to, you are definitely practicing IDOLATRY.
LET YOUR LIFE AND ACTIVITIES REFLECT YOUR DEVOTION TO GOD; MAKE HIM PARAMOUNT IN YOUR LIFE.
