MATTHEW 6:24
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE; YOU CAN'T BE SERVING GOD AND ALSO SERVING OTHER IDOLS; MAKE YOUR CHOICE TODAY, BE LOYAL TO THE ONLY TRUE GOD.
You can't be loyal to two masters at the same time, it's IMPOSSIBLE.
For instance, you can't be employed in a company, having a boss supervising you and monitoring your day-to-day activities, and at the same time you get some other employment, having another boss supervising and monitoring you. This is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE because you can't be at the two places at the same time, neither can you report to the two places everyday without dividing your attention.
In like manner, God is telling you today that it is either you are DEVOTED to Him or you are DEVOTED to the WORLD or any other IDOL.
The "MAMMON" here refers to money/wealth, material gain, earthly possessions or any other thing you pursue greedily, worship and cherish in this life more than GOD.
Any thing that takes the place of God in your life has automatically become your master and idol.
Look inwards now and identify those things that have taken the place of God in your life; it could be your job, academic pursuit, career or friendship; those things that have made God SECONDARY in your life.
It doesn't mean you shouldn't give attention to those things or people in your life; it's all about your SCALE OF PREFERENCE and PRIORITY RATING. WHO COMES FIRST?
CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE, GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD AND WON'T SHARE HIS GLORY OR PLACE IN YOUR LIFE WITH ANYONE OR ANYTHING; IT'S UP TO YOU.
