SIN SHOULD HAVE NO FOOTHOLD OVER YOU

Sin dominates the life of every person who is yet to be transformed and unregenerate.
The nature of sin cannot have dominion over any TRUE BELIEVER who has exercised Faith in the cross and has gotten transformed, washed and renewed by the blood of the lamb.
In the old testament, God gave the children of Israel laws through Moses, commandments which they had to obey and live by.

 
These laws were categorized under:
1. Moral Laws
2. Civil Laws
3. Ceremonial Laws

The Ten commandments which dealt with the universal ethical principles on how they were to live their day-to-day lives fell under the MORAL LAWS, the social and judicial lives of the Israelites fell under the CIVIL LAWS, while the religious practices, including worship, sacrifice, festivals, and dietary rules, what to eat and not eat were enshrined in the CEREMONIAL LAWS. The purpose of the CEREMONIAL LAWS was basically to teach the Israelites about HOLINESS and the need for atonement (killing of an heifer or bullock to 'cover' their sins) - a ritual God saw was not SUSTAINABLE.

 
This prompted God to give them a long-lasting solution to atone for their sins once and for all, a transition that happened in the new Testament, Jesus' death on the cross, putting an end to the moral, civil and ceremonial laws.

 
This NEW DAWN offered SALVATION to humanity, making everyone who subscribed or who will subscribe to this death on the cross to be SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH.

 
You must understand that this GRACE that brought salvation to mankind is NOT A LICENSE TO SIN, it is not an excuse to continually sin against God and disobey Him without restrictions.

 
You are SAVED FROM SIN BY GRACE, you are NOT LICENSED TO SIN BY GRACE.
It is this grace that empowers you to OVERCOME SIN and live above sin.

 
GRACE is an UNMERITED FAVOR God gave mankind to offer salvation for FREE.
Unfortunately, many abuse this GRACE, hence the admonition of Apostle Paul to the church in Rome - that "SIN SHOULD NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE".

 
This implies that once you are GENUINELY SAVED by this GRACE, you should automatically be empowered to live a life above sin. GRACE comes through FAITH in Jesus Christ, as you surrender your life to Him without reservation and believe in the ultimate sacrifice on the cross.

 
If you are still living in sin, it means that you have not yet FULLY SURRENDERED TO JESUS.
Why delay any further?

I challenge you to SUBMIT TO JESUS CHRIST TODAY, SURRENDER TO HIM WITHOUT ANY RESERVATION AND YOU WILL BE EMPOWERED TO HAVE DOMINION OVER SIN, AND NOT SIN HAVING DOMINION OVER YOU.
