MATTHEW 19:29
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to PRIORITIZE JESUS BY PUTTING HIM ABOVE EVERY ACQUISITION, ACQUAINTANCE OR POSSESSION IN THIS LIFE, AND YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ETERNAL REWARD FOR YOUR LOYALTY AND FAITHFULNESS TO HIM IN THE END.
What have you given up for the sake of God ever since you made up your mind to follow Jesus?
You must be willing to forfeit certain things for the sake of the Kingdom of God. There is no earthly possession that is worth dying for.
Jesus said that anyone who forsakes earthly possession and acquisitions as well as family/acquaintances for His name's sale will receive an HUNDRED FOLD and also inherit EVERLASTING LIFE.
He was not mincing words, He meant everything He said.
This does not in any way imply that you should live a secluded life like a monk or abandon your family because you are following Jesus, it simply means that every other person or thing in your life must be placed as SECONDARY while you focus on following Jesus as the PRIMARY.
In a world where many Christians are pursuing the mundane things of life, God is looking for those who will SEEK HIS KINGDOM AND RIGHTEOUSNESS FIRST, and He promises to provide everything else for them.
IN EVERYTHING YOU DO, PUT GOD FIRST, AND HE WILL REWARD YOU NOW AND IN ETERNITY.
