Psalms 18:21
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to MAKE A VOW TO GOD, NEVER TO DEPART FROM HIS WAYS.
Josiah was one of the BEST and one of the very few RIGHTEOUS KINGS of Israel. His reforms as King of Israel were so amazing.He took away all the ABOMINATIONS out of all countries that pertained to the Children of Israel.
At the age of 8, he became King; at age 16, He began to seek the God of Heaven, not choosing the way of His Father who did a lot of evil in the sight of the Lord. At age 20, King Josiah purged Judah and Jerusalem from all idols/molten images, and at the age of 26, Josiah purified the land of Israel and he temple at Jerusalem.
King Josiah epitomizes what the Psalmist David wrote in this verse.
He was CONSISTENT IN KEEPING THE WAYS OF GOD and His legacy was and is worthy of emulation.
What legacy are you building today through your relationship with God, daily lifestyle and relationship with fellow mortals?
Departing from the ways of the Lord is outright WICKEDNESS and a display of INGRATITUDE to God, despising the ultimate sacrifice He provided through the death of Jesus on Calvary.
What can you pay God back with?
You can't reciprocate commensurately with any resource in this world; all He demands is YOUR SOUL, YOUR LIFETIME.
DO NOT RELENT IN LIVING A HOLY LIFE AS LONG AS YOU BREATHE AND LIVE HERE ON EARTH.
