2 PETER 3:4
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to NEVER JOIN THE SCOFFERS WHO RIDICULE THE WORD OF GOD AND TREAT THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD WITH CONTEMPT; DON'T BE WEARY OF WAITING, JESUS WILL SURELY COME AGAIN.
The RAPTURE and the SECOND COMING of our Lord Jesus Christ are two different events.
The former is the "catching away of the saints that will happen when the trumpet sounds", while the latter is the SECOND ADVENT of our Lord Jesus to destroy the Antichrist and his cohorts, deliver his children - Israel in a conquest at the battle of Megiddo and Armageddon, bind satan for 1000 years in the Abyss (Bottomless pit) and reign with all His saints, with Jerusalem as His seat of power for the a Millenium (1000 years).
Our Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples of His second coming and by revelation knowledge, Apostle Peter in his epistle admonished the brethren and is admonishing every TRUE BELIEVER today to never get weary while waiting for the second coming of our Lord.
The scoffers are at work, they are on rampage and they are out to DISTRACT, CONFUSE and DECEIVE the GULLIBLE. Their mission is to make you forget that you are actually waiting for the bridegroom.
The goal of these scoffers is to make you relax and feel that you have all the time, and that Jesus is not coming anytime soon.
Do you remember the story of the 10 virgins? The FOOLISH VIRGINS relaxed and didn't deem it necessary to have enough oil in their lamps or even carry extra oil in case of any eventuality. THEY WERE CARELESS and at the nick of time, just moments before the bridegroom arrived, they stepped out in the dark to look for oil for their lamps and that was their greatest undoing; they missed it and were locked out.
It is no longer news that we are at midnight already, it is at this period in time where we are experiencing the climax of iniquity in the world that our Lord will come.
The life of an intentional pilgrim should never be characterized by ANYHOWNESS, PRESUMPTION, INDIFFERENCE or CARELESSNESS.
Go about your daily activities but don't get carried away to the point that you now get engrossed with irrelevant things that have no eternal consequence even though they are legitimate.
FOCUS ON ETERNITY, WAIT FOR THE LORD'S COMING.
DON'T EVER GET WEARY OF WAITING, JESUS WILL SURELY COME AGAIN.
