COLOSSIANS 1:10
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to LIVE A PLEASANT LIFE, BEAR FRUITS THAT SHOWCASE YOUR TRUE IDENTITY AS A CHILD OF GOD, AND KEEP GROWING IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF GOD'S WAYS.
To walk worthy of the Lord means to live your life in such a way that justifies your calling and selection by God. To achieve this feat, you must ensure that your life honours and pleases Him everyday, always conscious of the fact that God is assessing every step you take and every move you make.
We are enjoined to be FRUITFUL in every aspect of our lives - but with so much emphasis on the spiritual.
No tree bears fruits just for the fun of it, the fruits are not to be enjoyed by the tree but by others. The fruits you bear as a child of God should benefit others and draw them to Jesus.
Little wonder the Bible says "By their fruits you shall know them." No matter how you try to pretend, your actions will reflect your true identity to others. If you are honest, people will get to see and experience that part of you, and if you're dishonest, you can't hide it either.
Being FRUITFUL in EVERY GOOD WORK shows that there are no limits to how fruitful you can be or should be as a CHILD OF GOD. Keep doing what is right, even if you are not noticed or applauded.
DO IT AS UNTO THE LORD!
To INCREASE in the KNOWLEDGE of God means that you must be open to CONTINUOUS LEARNING, always ready to hear from God, know His will and obey His injunctions by practicing what you have heard.
KEEP LEARNING, KEEP GROWING, AND DESIRE TO KNOW MORE OF GOD EVERYDAY.
