MATTHEW 18:3
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to BE TRULY TRANSFORMED AND BECOME AS HUMBLE AS A CHILD, PUTTING ASIDE ALL EGO AND PRIDE, IF YOU SURELY WANT TO BE WELCOMED INTO HEAVEN AT LAST.
Pause for a moment and ponder on the lives of those little children around you, maybe your own kids or neighbors or even the ones in your Christian church community or those you teach at school or the ones you met at the amusement park or elsewhere.
Have you observed the little altercation that happens between them? They have that exchange and within the next few minutes, they quickly resolve their differences and start playing once again.
What about the little children scolded or flogged by their parents? Do they pout or vow never to talk to their parents anymore? NO!
Almost immediately, you'd see them run back to the warm embrace of their parents as though nothing transpired earlier.
Have you ever wondered why it is so? It's simply because these LITTLE CHILDREN are INNOCENT, HUMBLE, TEACHABLE, MALLEABLE and DEPENDENT. Their lives are so simple, plain and honest.
LITTLE CHILDREN don't keep malice or bear grudges. They readily forgive even when you spank them ruthlessly, unlike the adults who are ready to go a whole year or even more, keeping malice and making enemies at the slightest provocation.
Jesus wants us to BE LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN and adopt these child-like qualities enumerated above, if we TRULY want to be with Him in Heaven at last.
There are NO ENEMIES IN HEAVEN, there is no MALICE-KEEPING or BEARING OF GRUDGES in Heaven. If you must enter Heaven, you must be ready to HUMBLE YOURSELF.
Humility doesn't come just like that.
It takes conscious effort to acknowledge that YOU DON'T KNOW IT ALL, that YOU NEED TO LEARN TO SURRENDER YOUR EGO AND WILL even when it is inconvenient for you.
Being like a child doesn't imply you should be CHILDISH or behave incoherently. It only means you must be HUMBLE and LOWLY.
Quit that life of pride, arrogance, incorrigibility and haughtiness today and elect to BE LIKE A CHILD with HEAVEN IN SIGHT.
