2 TIMOTHY 2:4
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to REMAIN FOCUSED AS A SOLDIER OF CHRIST AND AVOID ANY ENTANGLEMENT THAT IS CURRENTLY POSING A THREAT TO YOUR SERVICE AND LOYALTY TO GOD.
Every soldier is committed to their duty and service to the nation or country they represent. They are always battle-ready and focused.
As Christians, we are like SOLDIERS on a battle field. Imagine a soldier who should be vigilant in order to avoid being hunted down by the enemies but out of carelessness decides to allow distractions while on duty, the enemy will readily hunt him down without hesitation.
It takes carelessness and lack of focus to become a prey in the hands of the enemy.
Just like every soldier is expected to be WATCHFUL, VIGILANT and FOCUSED, you are being enjoined today to get rid of those distractions and excesses in your life that are making you vulnerable to the enemy's attack.
You can't fulfill your mission as a soldier of Christ if you fail to disentangle yourself from every unnecessary thing.
By affairs of this life, it doesn't imply that our legitimate jobs, businesses and careers should suffer because we are soldiers of God, rather we should focus on our primary assignment - SEEKING THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
BE A SOLDIER INDEED AND REMAIN FOCUSED TILL THE MASTER COMES.
