2 TIMOTHY 4:8
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to KEEP PERSEVERING AND SERVING GOD FAITHFULLY WITH HEAVEN IN VIEW; FOCUS ON THE GOAL, AND LOOK FORWARD TO RECEIVING A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS ONLY IF YOU REMAIN STEADFAST AND READY FOR THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD, JESUS.
The song writer asked a pertinent question: "Will there be any stars in your crown?".
Think about this for a moment...
Why are you in the race?
Why are you denying yourself worldly pleasures and sinful escapades?
Why did you decide to follow Jesus in the first place?
Did you come this far to suddenly jettison this eternal hope and throw in the towel just like that?
Are you really convinced that ETERNITY IS REAL?
Every tourist who is visiting another country for a while knows that they are just on transit, and that they would definitely return home someday. The joy of going back home usually hits differently, little wonder the saying - "There's no place like home."
Every GENUINE and SINCERE Child of God has this hope of spending eternity with God at the end of this earthly pilgrimage, and as such, pattern their lives according to God's standards, always conscious of obeying God's injunctions and living a HOLY life without being coerced to do so.
A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS is awaiting all such people who are anticipating the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Many go to church but not everyone has their names written in the Lamb's book of life, ONLY those who are eagerly waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus and living the HEAVEN-CONSCIOUS LIFE have their names written in the book of life, and they are the only ones who will receive this CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, a worthy reward for a FAITHFUL SERVICE to God here on Earth.
WILL YOU WEAR A CROWN AT LAST?
WILL THERE BE ANY STARS IN YOUR CROWN?
