DAY 156 OF 365
PHILIPPIANS 1:27
In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to LIVE WITH THE CONSCIOUSNESS THAT YOU ARE REPRESENTING CHRIST HERE ON EARTH, NOT WITH EYE-SERVICE OR TO PLEASE ANYONE, BUT IN SINCERITY; REMAIN UNITED IN CHRIST.
This is a call to CONDUCT YOURSELF as a TRUE CHILD OF GOD wherever you may be. Your words, actions, reactions, and company are being evaluated by people around you. They want to know if you are TRULY the Christian you profess to be.
If you preach to others and tell them to avoid sin, are you avoiding sin yourself?
If you tell others to avoid bad company, do you have Godly friends yourself?
You tell others to stop listening to ungodly music or watching X-rated content. How clean is your phone? How clean is your heart?
A true Christian walks the talk. It is not enough to PREACH; do you PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH?
This was Apostle Paul's message to the Philippian church, urging them to make sure that their conversation and daily lives are in tandem with the Gospel they preach to avoid making their efforts counterproductive.
He knew that hypocrites abound; hence, his admonition to them to conduct themselves properly, whether in his presence or absence.
This message resonates with the church of today too. Are you living your life to please your pastor, parents, or guardians?
Do you now fear men more than you fear God? Your focus should be to PLEASE GOD IN ALL YOU DO.
Men's validation or appraisal can never justify you in the sight of God.
Whilst living with this consciousness, be UNITED with one another, avoid divisions, hatred, anarchy, gossip and be a TRUE MISSIONARY, Spreading the Gospel in WORD and DEED.
