In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH GOD IN PRAYER LIKE JESUS DID; HAVE PERSONAL FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD BEFORE YOU START YOUR DAY.
How intimate are you with God?
Do you have an altar of prayer?
Jesus never trivialized PRAYER.
He exemplified and modeled it throughout His life and ministry.
He gave His disciples the right format to communicate with God in prayer to make sure they did it the right way.
Jesus told His disciples the need to pray always, and not faint. He was once like you, and understood what it meant to be HUMAN, with the weaknesses, frailties and shortfalls, but HE KNOWS THAT YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU TRULY WANT TO.
While you go about your daily routine, carrying out all legitimate activities - studies, business, vocation, trainings, etc, you must understand that God demands your time.
You have 24 hours every day, but it is expedient that before you start your day, you should spend some quality time to seek God's face just like Jesus did.
When you want to commune with God, there's need for solitude. Stay in a secluded area, void of noise and distraction; early in the morning when others are asleep. This is an ideal time to pour out your heart to God and have a tĂȘte-Ă -tĂȘte with Him.
Prayer is one viable way of getting God's attention and knowing His mind. It should be conversational, not a monologue or a religious obligation just to fulfill all Righteousness.
When you come to the place of prayer, HAVE AN OBJECTIVE and whilst you talk to God, just like every dialogue should be, don't be in a hurry to end it, ALLOW GOD TO SPEAK TO YOU TOO.
WHAT ARE YOUR EARLY HOURS LIKE EVERYDAY?
BUILD GOD AN ALTAR TODAY, DEDICATE THOSE WEE HOURS TO HIM, AND YOU'D EXPERIENCE THE JOY AND SATISFACTION IN QUALITY PRAYER TIME.
