BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE, MIND YOUR WORDS - Nuggets from James 3:5

DAY 178 OF 365

JAMES 3:5

In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to ALWAYS BE CAREFUL OF THE WAY YOU SPEAK, BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE AND LET YOUR WORDS GLORIFY AND NOT VILIFY.

As little as the tongue is, it is very powerful. As a child of God, you must bridle our tongue and control what we say. Only say GRACIOUS, EDIFYING and POSITIVE words.

Your words/speech should be seasoned with GRACE. Don't throw negative words at people without minding the resultant effect on them. Learn how to THINK before you TALK not TALK before you THINK! Remember, you'll give account of every word you've said to people, take some time to ask yourself this question.

Do my words heal or wound?
Do my words glorify or vilify?
Are my words always positive or negative?
Do my words please or displease?
Are my words ruly or unruly?
Are my words Holy or unholy?

Decide today to be careful of the way you speak.
